Chapter 267 The Solution Lies in the Problem
Mikael and Chris visited Smalzot Yard for the third time that day and, as usual, were stopped outside the
gate.
Mikael’s brows furrowed in displeasure. “Connor, you should be well aware of Radley’s current condition! You’re killing him by stopping us from entering!”
However, the assistant continued to stand in their way with a bitter expression.
It had been a week since they returned from the hospital.
During this week, Radley had locked himself inside Smalzot Yard, refusing entry to anyone.
Rosie and Hannah had come multiple times, but Radley never came out.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Lancel, but I have to follow Mr. Monaghan’s orders, Connor gritted his teeth.
Beside them, Chris’ temper flared, and he grabbed Connor’s collar. “Do you know how foolishly loyal you. are? Without anyone’s supervision, aren’t you afraid he’ll die in there? Have you seen what’s become of Monaghan Group now? Several vice presidents are nearly tearing it apart in internal strife as they believe. Radley won’t manage the company anymore!”
Connor clenched his fists. “But…”
Mikael’s voice turned cold. “No “buts. You know how close we are with Radley. Even if he wants to indulge in despair, we must pull him back up now!”
After a moment of contemplation, Connor bit his lip, and for the first time, he betrayed Radley’s orders.
He turned to the side and allowed Mikael and Chris to enter Smalzot Yard with stern faces.
Radley lay on the sofa in the dimly lit living room of Smalzot Yard when the door suddenly opened.
Blinding sunlight streamed in, and it was the first time Radley had seen the sunlight in this past week.
He frowned, his gaze cold and piercing as he looked at the newcomers.
With light now in the room. Chris found Radley disheveled on the sofa, and anger surged within him.
Empty bottles were scattered haphazardly on the floor, and the room reeked of alcohol.
The two approached Radley.
Radley had already sat up, his voice hoarse. “Who let you in? Where’s Connor?!”
Connor followed behind Mikael and Chris, and upon hearing Radley mention his name, he hurriedly stepped forward.
He gritted his teeth and looked at the blood stain in the corner of the carpet.
“I let Mr. Lancel and Mr. Holland in, Mr. Monaghan. You really can’t keep drinking like this. You’ll kill yourself.”
Chris, who had also noticed the pool of blood on the carpet, became both anxious and angry. “D*mn it, Monaghan, have you lost your mind? It’s just a woman! Do you really need to torment yourself like this?!”

Meanwhile, Mikael, his face cold, approached Radley and tried to lead him away. “Come with me. We’re going to the hospital right away.”
Radley shook off Mikael’s hand. “I’m not going anywhere. All of you get out.”
Chris smacked his own forehead in frustration. “I swear to God, Radley Monaghan! Will you leave or not?! Don’t blame me for getting rough if you don’t leave!”
Radley’s gaze became piercing, and Chris, who was about to act, froze.
The three of them were longtime friends, and it was always assumed that Radley was the leader among them.
“Radley, how long do you plan to lie in your house?” Mikael spoke up from the side. “Do you have any idea what’s happening outside? The Monaghan Group will become someone else’ if you don’t return to your
office!”
“I said get out!” Radley’s voice was icy.
Mikael pressed his lips together and stared at Radley for a while. “Fine, if you want us to leave, at least let me take my things with me.”
With that, he pointed to a lighter on the table. “I gave that to you back then. Since you’re disregarding our brotherhood, give it back.”
“Take it and get out.” Radley’s gaze flickered.
Mikael kept a cold expression as he walked directly to the table and bent over to pick up the lighter.
Chris was also taken aback. They had come to persuade Radley, so why did Mikael suddenly become angry?
“Mi- Chris had barely spoken when he saw Mikael reach for the lighter, and at the same time, he was already very close to Radley.
With breakneck speed, Mikael hit Radley’s waist with an elbow strike.
The next second, he looped his arm around Radley’s neck.
“What are you still standing there for? Come and help Mikael’s expression was serious. Given Radley Monaghan’s skills, even in his weakened state, neither he nor Chris could likely subdue him without resorting to this surprise attack.
After a tremendous effort, the two finally managed to restrain Radley and bound his limbs with a nearby blanket.
Chris sat down, exhausted. “What do we do now?”
“Take him to the hospital, of course!” Mikael thought for a moment and added. “Take him to my family’s private hospital and restrain him to the bed!”
Connor stood by the side, dumbfounded, watching his boss being ambushed and tied up by two people.
“Connor, go and get the car!” Mikael ordered.
An hour and a half later, Radley was brought to the Lancels’ hospital.

The director personally came to receive them and arranged for Radley to be in a separate ward building. Mikael secured Radley’s hands and feet to the bed before finally feeling relieved.
“Examine him thoroughly like this, and the same goes for the follow-up treatments. If you don’t want to get beaten up.
don’t untie him!” Mikael said sternly. “If he struggles too much, give him a sedative, no matter what method you use. I must see him healthy within a week!”
The director repeatedly nodded. “Yes, sir, rest assured, we will provide him with the best care!”
Radley glared daggers at Mikael from the bed. “Mikael Lancel! Untie me!”
“No, I won’t untie you! Once you’re fully conscious and if you want to settle the score over this incident, you can beat me up all you want. It’s not like I haven’t been through that before,” Mikael said coldly. “Chris, leave him here. Let’s go.”
After leaving Radley’s ward, Mikael took a gander at Chris and said, “This is just a temporary solution. Even if his body recovers in a week, there’s no guarantee he won’t continue to torment himself.”
Connor followed the two as they left the room. “Mr. Lancel, Mr. Monaghan can’t be tied up like this forever either.”
At that, Mikael looked back at the room grimly. “The solution still lies in the problem.”
Alas, Chris didn’t quite catch it. “Can you not speak in riddles? What do you mean by that?”
Connor, on the other hand, got it. His gaze dimmed. “You’re referring to Miss Kaufmann, aren’t you? But Miss Kaufmann has completely broken up with Mr. Monaghan. She won’t help in this matter.”
Chris furrowed his brows. “Why did they break up in the first place? Do you know?”
“I’m not sure either. Ever since Miss Kaufmann woke up, she has been avoiding Radley. It wasn’t until a week ago that she had a conversation with him, and they broke up. But I don’t know the specifics.”
“Let’s find out then.”
Mikael turned and walked away, and Chris immediately followed.
“Connor, stay here and look after Radley’s safety!”
Connor quickly agreed.
