Chapter 254 Can You Leave Now?
Radley looked at Ryan with a cold expression.
“I must see her safe with my own eyes.”
No one could make him leave otherwise!
Ryan blew his top upon hearing that. “Radley Monaghan, Frey wouldn’t have gotten in danger today if it weren’t for you taking her out of the house!
“It’s not safe here in Vroria. We’ve kept her locked up at home for so long, but you took her out without protecting her properly! What right do you have to stay here?!” Ryan growled. His fists on each side of his torso were balled up.
As much as he could punch Radley in the face right now, his head was telling him he shouldn’t do it. Freya was still lying in the operating room, and her life was hanging by a thread.
Radley remained unmoved.
“If you want to hit me, hit me. But I won’t leave.”
Sylvia, who was standing by, looked at Radley with cold eyes.
“Ryan, don’t pay attention to him. Treat him as if he’s not here!”.
Half an hour later, the door of the operating room was opened again, and the cries of a baby could be heard.
Sylvia stood up abruptly as a nurse pushed a baby carriage out.
“It’s a boy.” The nurse handed the baby carriage to Sylvia, who was closest to her.
Sylvia didn’t even have time to look at her grandson. She just reached out and grabbed the nurse’s arm. “How is my daughter?”
“She’s still in critical condition. The injury to her chest is quite serious.”
Sylvia’s lips trembled slightly.
The sky had turned pitch black as time passed slowly. The hearts of the people in the corridor sank with anxiety and worry because the surgery had been going on for a long time.
Sylvia leaned against the wall and didn’t stop praying.

At 1 a.m., the door of the operating room finally opened again.
As a few doctors came out, the leader of the group took off his mask and looked at the family members who had gathered around, his face tired.
“Doctor, how is she?” Radley asked in a deep voice. His voice was already hoarse.
“The patient lost a lot of blood. Although we used blood transfusion in the later stages, it may still have an impact on her brain. The injury to her chest was also close to puncturing her heart, so we need to prevent infection in the future.”
Sylvia’s shaky voice rang out beside him.
“What does that mean?”
“We did our best to perform the surgery, but we can’t guarantee that she will fully recover. We need to observe her for a few more days and see if her indicators can recover. The next seven days are still critical.”
Ryan clenched his fists. “Are you saying that Frey will still be in a life-threatening condition. for the next few days?”
The doctor glanced at him and nodded.
“Highly likely, yes. We will arrange for the patient to be admitted to the ICU sterile ward, where there will be nurses taking care of her around the clock. Please rest assured.”
Freya’s operating bed was pushed out.
Sylvia immediately rushed over and reached out to touch Freya on the bed, but she didn’t dare to make any big movements.
Ashley was heartbroken when she watched this from the side.
“Sylvia, let them take Frey to the ICU ward first. The doctors said it’s easy to get infected outside.”
With a nod from Sylvia, the group followed the nurse pushing the bed, sending Freya to the ICU ward on the 18th floor of the hospital.
Radley silently followed behind the
group.
After Freya was brought in, Sylvia, Ashley, and Ryan stood in front of the glass observation window of the ward, looking at Freya lying on the bed.
Ashley still held the baby in her arms. Because of the sudden turn of events, she didn’t have time to prepare clothes for the baby, so she only wrapped him in a thin blanket.

The baby seemed to sense the sadness in the air and started crying loudly.
With a look of indifference, Sylvia turned around to take the baby from Ashley.
She gently patted the baby to soothe him.
She looked up at Radley.
“Can you leave now?”
There was no emotion on Radley’s face. “I want to stay here and accompany her through this critical period.”
Sylvia’s face completely turned dark.
“Mr. Monaghan, for me to use words instead of resorting to violence is already the greatest tolerance!”
Radley looked at Freya lying in the room with a painful gaze.
If it were someone else stopping him, he could just throw them out, but the person in front of him was Freya’s mother. She was Freya’s most cherished relative.
Sensing the tension, Ashley stepped forward to Radley.
“No one is allowed to enter the ICU ward. There is no point for you to stay here.
“If you don’t want to cause more conflicts and affect Freya’s rest, you should go back.”
Ashley could guess what was going on when she recalled Freya sending the messages. Freya was probably sending messages to Radley. She sighed.
“If there’s any problem with Freya, we will immediately notify you. Is that okay?”
Radley looked at Ashley with a deep gaze. He then glanced at Sylvia beside her and solemnly bowed.
“It was my fault for not protecting her. I’m sorry.”
As Sylvia watched him leave, tears finally fell from her eyes. She held her crying grandson in her arms and looked at her unconscious daughter in the room, feeling heartbroken.
Ashley took the baby from Sylvia’s embrace.
“Sylvia, let me take care of the baby.”
Ryan was worried. “Why has the baby been crying since earlier? He has been wailing

nonstop. Is this normal?”
Sylvia’s voice trembled. “The child’s mother’s life was hanging by a thread when she gave birth to him. Let him cry.”
“Sylvia, what are you saying? Freya will definitely wake up!”
During the seven days Freya was in critical condition, Sylvia sat in the corridor, refusing to leave. The news reached Noah’s ears on the same day.
The family had already hired someone to take care of Freya’s newborn son.
However, the joy of having a newborn couldn’t dispel the somber atmosphere at home.
No one dared to tell Sarah about Freya’s incident; they only said that she had undergone a cesarean section and was recovering in the hospital.
Even so, Sarah remained suspicious.
They had originally planned for Freya to give birth at home, so how did she suddenly end. up in the hospital?
Every day, Radley would come to the hospital and visit Freya briefly before Sylvia asked him to leave.
