Chapter 240 I Brought a Bodyguard
Radley’s heavy breathing could be heard above Freya’s head, accompanied by the sound of his heartbeat, and she felt warmth flowing through her heart. Pushing Radley away, she muttered, “Radley, we’ve just started dating. Aren’t we progressing a bit too quickly?”

Freya passed him the snacks that the Monaghans had sent today. “You came back so quickly and probably haven’t eaten anything yet. Have some snacks first.”

“If you want to date, use your own office. Occupying my office is making me homeless,” Brandon grumbled.
Freya chuckled and checked the time; it was time to go to the Hood Residence. So, she left. the West Geft Joint Department with Radley and headed toward the Hood Residence.
Halfway through the drive, her phone rang. She took it out and saw that it was a text message from Matthew. ‘Frey, no matter what my parents say tonight, don’t take it to heart!’
Freya frowned. “You were the one who blabbered nonsense on a show and implicated me. Why would your parents cause trouble for me?”
Just trust me, I’ll handle everything. Matthew replied.
Freya stole a look at Radley, who was driving attentively. It seemed that after they confirmed their relationship, there was suddenly an additional layer of a couple’s filter between them. and she was momentarily captivated by Radley’s serious look while driving. Hurriedly, she
lowered her head to reply to Matthew’s text. ‘It’s okay, I brought a bodyguard with me!

Freya giggled, and Radley, who was driving, glanced at her. “What’s wrong?”
“Matthew said that his parents won’t be courteous tonight and warned me not to mind. I told. him that I’m bringing a bodyguard to his house.”
Radley nodded without saying a word, and the car soon arrived at the entrance of the Hood Residence, but he didn’t drive in.
Turning to him, Freya asked in confusion, “Why did you stop?”
Before answering, he unbuckled his seatbelt and leaned over. “Your bodyguard wants to collect some fees in advance.”
“What?” Freya asked, taken aback.
The next second, a warm lip pressed against her own, just a light kiss that ended quickly, but it was sufficient to turn her face scarlet.
Nonetheless, Radley had already sat back and started the car. “Miss, are you satisfied with your bodyguard’s work?”
Freya gritted her teeth. It seemed that beneath the icy exterior of this man lay an exceptionally flirtatious soul.
The car drove to the Hood Residence and stopped in front of the villa. When Freya got out of the car, her face was still blushing.
Under two tall streetlights in front of the villa, Matthew stood waiting at the door, and his face fell when he saw Radley getting out of the car.
Then, he saw Radley throwing him a cold glance, the murderous intent in his eyes almost solidified. Subsequently, he paced to the passenger seat and opened the car door for Freya, his face dissipating with aloofness.
As Matthew watched him gently hold Freya’s arm and lead her out, his heart sank deeper and deeper. He knew Freya very well and could tell that something had changed between her and Radley.
“Freya, why is he here?” Matthew asked when he approached them.
Radley positioned himself to shield Freya within his arm’s reach, his eyes icy cold. “Your parents invited my girlfriend to dinner. Naturally, I had to come along”
“Girlfriend?!” Matthew’s voice raised slightly as he stared at Freya, his hand clenched so
tightly that his knuckles turned white, and he hoped to hear a different answer from her.
