Four days passed in the blink of an eye.
Freya’s recent lifestyle was very simple. She went to work at the West Geft Joint Department during the day and returned to the Kaufmann Residence at night, comforting Isabella over the phone.
Today was the day Isabella and Braxton got engaged.

Because of the banquet procedures, Isabella arrived at the Kaufmann Residence early in the morning to start preparing.
On the first floor, Isabella and Freya stayed in a room together, leaning against the window and looking outside.
The flowers that were just airlifted last night were now arranged and embellished in the Kaufmann Residence’s garden, adding a touch of spring and vitality to the late autumn garden.
Freya smiled and commented, “My mom rarely hosts dinners at home. She doesn’t like it when others. make a mess of the house. This is the first time I’ve seen the house decorated so grandly.”
Isabella, who had already had her makeup and hair done by a stylist, stood there with her hands trembling slightly.
Freya’s gaze shifted from outside the window back to Isabella’s trembling hands.
She chuckled and tried to comfort her. “Isabella, there’s no need to be so nervous, right? It’s just an engagement banquet for now. If you’re this nervous, won’t you faint at the wedding banquet in a few months?”
Isabella coughed lightly, her voice sounding as if it was squeezed out of her throat.
“I… I consider this… a long-cherished wish fulfilled. How can I not be nervous?”
Freya gently caressed her belly and nodded. She was wearing an exceptionally loose evening gown today, with only a stretchy band below her chest, and the rest of the skirt was loose.
Isabella looked at the time and said, “No, I have to change into my dress quickly. The emcee will call us on stage soon.”
Freya cooperated with Isabella and, with the help of two maids, slowly fastened the gorgeous engagement dress.
“It’s done.”
Music started playing outside.
It was time for the female protagonist to make her entrance. Isabella, with her dress held up, walked -towards the stage with a stiff smile on her face.
Freya followed behind, and the two of them walked from the villa to the Kaufmann Residence’s garden.
In the garden, Isabella, holding up her dress, sat down next to her mother with a stiff smile on her face.
The engagement banquet this time was designed by Isabella with a mix of foreign and local styles and some scenes of interaction between the emcee and the engaged couples.
Freya watched the lively scene and noticed her best friend standing on the stage with a stiff back.
She chuckled softly. Braxton stood beside Isabella and reached out to hold her hand.
The two of them whispered something to each other, and Isabella relaxed.
After interacting with the emcee, it was time for the engaged couple to dance their first dance.
Braxton led Isabella onto the dance floor, starting with a waltz.
Freya caressed her pregnant belly as young men and women around her entered the dance floor.

She sat there calmly, remembering how she used to hide in a corner during dinners before. Now, her belly had become her lucky charm, and no one would invite her to dance.
As Freya was thinking about this, a familiar voice sounded beside her.
“May I have this dance, little fairy?”
Freya raised an eyebrow and turned her head to see Matthew extending his hand beside her.
She chuckled and casually replied, “Fairies usually don’t dance casually.”
Matthew didn’t mind and sat down on the chair beside Freya.
“Fairies usually don’t dance,” he said. “The ceremony is already over, so why are you still sitting here?”
Freya caressed her belly and said lazily, “I’m a pregnant woman. If I don’t sit here, do you want me to go in and really dance?”
She looked at the figures of Braxton and Isabella on the dance floor.
One was looking up while the other looking down as if their eyes and the world only had each other.
Freya could empathize with them, and a radiant smile appeared on her face.
“I’m relieved to see my brother and Isabella finally get engaged.”
Freya’s face was filled with happiness and relief for her brother and Isabella.
Matthew’s gaze lingered on Braxton and Isabella for a while before quietly shifting to Freya.
“Now that your brother is engaged, you should also consider your own lifelong matters.”
Freya caressed her belly, feeling carefree. “I’m not in a hurry. Even if I never get married in this lifetime, it doesn’t matter.”
Matthew’s gaze deepened slightly as he thought of what his parents had told him when he returned from Hartterre.
“After I came back from Hartterre this time, I heard that Radley announced some news at Wilson’s seminar, saying that the child in your belly is his. Does Radley know the truth?”
Freya was originally immersed in the happiness of her brother and Isabella, but when she heard Matthew’s words, she suddenly snapped out of it.
She was startled and looked around, checking her surroundings. Seeing that there was no one around, she lowered her voice.
“Lower your voice. Don’t let anyone hear you!”
Seeing Freya’s reaction, Matthew raised an eyebrow and figured out what was going on. “Seeing how scared you are, Radley probably doesn’t know the truth yet.”
Freya glared at him and thought for a moment before saying, “Radley’s current understanding is the same as your previous identity.”
Matthew chuckled. “So, you mean Radley thinks that the child in your belly is mine, but he’s willing to be the father of my child? I didn’t expect him to be so magnanimous.”
Matthew’s tone was filled with a sense of schadenfreude.
Freya glared at him in anger.
“Alright, stop sitting here doing nothing. Take me for a walk in your backyard.”
Matthew pulled Freya to her feet.
Freya lazily said, “You’ve been to my house so many times. Can’t you go for a walk by yourself? Why do you have to drag me along?”
A faint smile appeared on Matthew’s handsome face as he stared at Freya intently.
“Let’s go. I have something to tell you.”
Freya could only follow him as they walked towards the backyard.
As they gradually moved away from the main venue of the banquet, the surroundings became quiet. Freya stopped, feeling a bit tired.
“Matthew, are you sure there’s no one here? Even the surveillance cameras here are silent. What do you want to say?”
Matthew turned around and looked at Freya solemnly
Feeling as if she was being scrutinized, Freya suddenly felt like she was being played.
“Is this what you wanted to say? I can’t believe I thought you had something important!”
Freya had heard these words from Matthew countless times since they first met.
