Chapter 223 Settling Down
As it was Freya who had purchased Brandon’s new home, she remembered the address. After a forty-minute drive, she stopped at an old mansion located in the center of Caltun. Once she got out of the car, Freya walked along an alley. The courtyard gate was open, and as soon as she entered, her vision widened.
“It’s so bright and spacious. A courtyard like this really puts me at ease,” she praised.
In the courtyard, two movers were walking out, and Brandon smiled when he saw her.
“You came pretty quickly.”
Freya smiled. “Master, it seems like you can not only set up a grapevine trellis but also add a few more barrels to grow water lilies.”
“Alright, stop standing around. Let’s head inside to have a talk,” Brandon waved his hand and turned to walk inside. With his back facing her and his arms crossed behind him, he completely blended into the mansion.
Inside the house, Trisha was sitting on a wooden chair in the living room while sewing. Upon seeing Freya, she immediately waved and smiled. “Frey, come sit here.”
As Freya approached, she realized that Trisha was sewing a pair of tiger-head shoes. These shoes traditionally had contrasting and vibrant colors, and Trisha was currently sewing the tiger’s whiskers with silk thread.
Freya couldn’t help but gasp. “It’s gorgeous.”
Trisha smiled. “I made it for your baby in your belly.”
“I knew you loved me the most,” Freya replied in a coquettish tone.
Trisha was delighted by her reply, and her eyes and eyebrows lit up with a smile. Although Brandon had a look of disdain, he seemed at ease as well.
“Moving here is much more comfortable than I thought when I saw the photos of the house before.” Trisha sighed. “Frey, I’ve only been here for a few hours, but I already feel at home.
Freya’s eyes lit up. “In that case, why don’t we settle down here in the future? Caltun is a pretty good place. It isn’t too hot in the summer, and it doesn’t get too cold in the winter. either.
