Chapter 222 Interview
While the three were talking, Eugene raised his hand with a determined look on his face. Just then, a loud slam sounded from the front door of the villa, catching their attention.
When Freya and Michael turned their heads to look, there was a man in a gray suit standing at the door who appeared to be in his thirties. He wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses and stared in astonishment at them.
“Um… Is this Professor Harlan’s research lab?” The man’s voice trembled slightly.
Freya immediately stood up and greeted him with a smile. “Hello, I’m Freya, Professor Harlan’s assistant. May I ask who you are?”
“I’m here for an interview. My name is Maddox Wright.” The man looked a little nervous as he glanced around the room.
He recognized the state-of-the-art medical equipment in the room, which would be a paradise for him if it were in a regular research institute. However, there were now two burly men standing in front of the equipment, and one of them was holding a dangerous weapon that could only be seen on television which immediately caught his attention, and he had to resist the urge to turn around and run away under the temptation of the medical equipment in the room.

Maddox looked at Freya, the self-proclaimed assistant of Harlan. She looked quite delicate, but as seemed young, he wasn’t sure if she possessed any genuine knowledge and skills.
“Mr. Wright, shall we start the interview?” Freya smiled.
Maddox widened his eyes. “Are you going to interview me?”
“Yes, Mr. Wright, do you have a problem with that?” she asked.
Maddox pursed his lips, feeling somewhat, but when he looked at the two men behind the girl who were smiling at him in a rather friendly’ way, he held himself back.
Freya’s interview was relatively simple, as she didn’t plan to run a large-scale medical research lab. She was well aware of the research achievements of the applicants beforehand, and the interview was mostly meant to test their values and humanity.
“Mr. Wright, here is a question sheet for you to answer”
Hearing that, Maddox took the question sheet from her, intending to show off his expertise and impress everyone, but he stared at the first question for a while before he looked up at

“If God gives you a pet and you have to choose between a talking dog or a flying cat, which one would you choose?”
Freya confirmed her answer again.
Maddox felt a little frustrated and was practically convinced that Harlan had fooled him to show up as a joke. Just as he was halfway through the question sheet, another slam sounded.
Freya turned her head to the door, where a middle-aged man with a briefcase stood, staring at Michael and Eugene.
Following Freya’s guidance, they greeted the man with a bright smile.
“Hello.” Freya stood up and greeted him.
As the interview was scheduled for 9 o’clock in the morning, most people preferred to arrive early rather than late for such occasions.
By the time Maddox was finished, the other three people had also arrived, and they nervously sat on the couch as they started answering the questions.
Freya looked at the man sitting on the edge. According to the information, he was already 24 years old and was considered a genius in the medical field. Because of this, he had gained fame in recent years. However, just like her, he had a somewhat youthful face that made him look like a teenager.
“Lucius Gray?” Freya called out.
Lucius looked up from his test. “What is it, Miss Kaufmann?”
“Nothing” She smiled.
She held Maddox’s test question in her hand, and as she expected, he passed.
When the tests of the four people were completed, Freya sat in front of them and said. “As you can see, this is Professor Harlan’s research lab. The requirements have been mentioned before. During the research period, you will need to live here full-time. As for the salary, it will be provided according to the standards of the world’s top medical research institutions
Lucius raised his hand, as if he were a student.

“I’d like to know if our personal time will be restricted during the research.” Lucius’ gaze turned to Michael and Eugene before he continued, “For example, not being allowed to leave. until we achieve results.”

One by one, the interviews ended. After conducting investigations and tests, Freya began to distribute materials to the four people.
“Maddox Wright, 31 years old. Lucius Gray, 24 years old. Russell Lynch, 35 years. old.”
Freya looked at the last person. “Fabian Wesson, 57 years old. Can you handle the high- intensity research work?”
Fabian was famous in medical research, but he was always conservative and cautious, and she had chosen him for this reason. However, she didn’t expect that the man in front of her would look like he was in his 60s, with dark skin and a somewhat thin appearance.
“Of course! If necessary, I can even stay up for three days without any issues!” Fabian clenched his fist.
“That’s good. Take a look at the materials first. Professor Harlan’s key points, research direction, and thoughts are all written here.” Freya smiled. “If you need any help, we can invite Dr. Griffiths from Caltun General Hospital over regularly. You can contact him if we lack any testing equipment as well.”
Fabian listened to her keenly. Once she finished speaking, he asked, “Are there only Professor Harlan’s guidance materials? I thought I would be able to see the professor himself.”
Freya smiled. Her identity had always been kept secret, and only the people closest to her knew about it. As she had just met these four men, she didn’t plan to reveal the truth to them. After all, even if she didn’t disclose her identity, it wouldn’t affect the research.
After distributing their work and giving instructions to Michael and Eugene, she left the research institute in her car and called Brandon.
“Master, are you at the Joint Departinent? I’ll come and visit you”
The other end of the phone was filled with noise as Brandon replied, “No, I just moved houses, and I’m still unpacking.”
“You moved?” Freya repeated, interested. “Then, I’ll come and see your new place.”
