Chapter 82 After seeing Julia wearing a wedding dress, the ex–fiancé was dumbf ounded!
“Jared Brooks,” Lincoln muttered after a few seconds of hesitation.
“What?” Julia’s eyes widened. “He booked the entire cruise ship? Why would he do that?”
Lincoln shrugged on the other line. “I have no idea. I’m too lazy to investigate.” Because of their past, Lincoln had difficulty bringing up Jared’s name again.
Julia hung up the phone and stared in awe.
Is it because of me? Julia pondered and remembered what happened two days ago.
Carter invited her to their wedding and boasted that it would be held on Monroe’s most luxurious cruise ship.
They exchanged quite a few heated statements that day, which made Julia wonder if Jared did it to get revenge on her behalf
“No way‘ Julia thought She shook her head, trying to brush off the thought. Although Jared had confessed to her, Julia couldn’t believe it She felt that it was just a spur of the moment.
How could Jared spend so much money for her sake? Julia was convinced that Jared had other plans for the cruise ship.
While engrossed in her thoughts, she noticed a familiar couple entering the bridal shop from the corner of her eve
It was Carter and Vivien..
‘What a coincidence. Are they here to choose a wedding gown?” Julia wondered.
On the other hand, the couple immediately saw Julia as soon as they got inside. “Why are you here?” Carter asked Julia, frowning
The bridal shop had just opened recently after being invested in by J&C Limited. Although it was a new store, it attracted several customers to try on their wedding dresses because of their exquisite novel style and high end decoration.
A friend referred Vivien to try the dresses there, so she brought Carter along.
As for Julia, she was there to help take some wedding photos. The photos would be displayed in the shop to attract more clients.
“Hey, were you following us?” Vivien scoffed. Carter immediately eyed Julia with disgust.
“That’s funny. I came here first, so how could you say that? Aren’t you being a little bit
problematic?” Julia turned to face the shop clerk and pointed at the frowning couple. “Tell them when I arrive.”
The clerk immediately responded while facing Carter and Vivien. “Miss Watson came here half an hour ago.
Hearing that, Carter abruptly glanced at Vivien. He didn’t overthink Vivien’s comment about Julia carlier, but now he thought about it carefully. It seemed that Vivien was trying to provoke Julia by accusing her.
The idea lingered in his mind for a few seconds. Recalling that he had misunderstood Vivien many times in the past few days, he concluded it was just a coincidence.
Carter had already made up his mind. Now that he decided to marry Vivien, he must trust her wholeheartedly without question.

Chapter 82 After seeing Julia wearing a wedding dress, the ex–fiance was dumbfounded!
Julia was right the other day. Carter realized that a man who made his woman weep wasn’t good.
“Shall we go to another bridal shop?” Carter asked Vivien, but Vivien seemed to have other plans.
“The dresses here are gorgeous! I want to try a few sets,” Vivien said, eyeing Julia. Why would she bother leaving? She was going to stay and deal with Julia inside the same shop.
“I see. Then go ahead and try them on.” Vivien smiled sweetly at Carter and thanked him. After that, Vivien looked in Julia’s direction.
Julia was holding a wedding dress and was preparing to try it on. “Can you give me the one you’re holding?” Vivien asked and walked closer. Carter frowned. “You-” he was about to question Vivien, but Julia suddenly spoke.
“No.” Julia smiled at Vivien before entering the fitting room.
Vivien’s face flushed in embarrassment. Still, she managed to smile before looking at Carter. “Why do
you think she’s here trying on wedding dresses? Does she want to get married too?”
Carter looked around, pretending to be nonchalant. “Ask her when she comes out,” he said as he picked up a magazine from a shelf.
Vivien shrugged and looked at the magazine. A few seconds later, her eyes widened, and she immediately raised her hand.
“Bring me the same dress as hers!” Vivien exclaimed while pointing at the magazine.
She felt that the gown would look better on her than Julia’s. Vivien anticipated that Carter’s attention would be hers once she was done preparing. And Julia would be left alone and ashamed.
Not long after, Vivien changed into the wedding dress. She asked the stylist to add white pearls to her hair with matching butterfly pearls for her earrings. The lace veil was perfectly attached to her hair, making her more charming.
Vivien stood in front of the mirror with a satisfied smile. She was confident that Carter would be stunned by her looks later.
While doing the finishing touches, Vivien heard movements from the fitting room next door. It seemed like Julia was ready to go, so Vivien also prepared herself to step out.
While bearing a triumphant smile, Vivien confidently opened the door. She noticed the fitting room next door was also open but didn’t mind it.
“Carter, do I look good?”
Carter stared blankly ahead as the magazine slipped out of his hand. In awe, he stood up slowly and commented, “Nice.”
Satisfied with Carter’s words, Vivien happily ran to him and held his hand, “Carter-“Huh?
Vivien frowned when she realized that Carter wasn’t looking at her. Irritated, she followed his gaze suspiciously and soon landed on someone.
Vivien’s eyes immediately widened at what she saw.
Carter was staring at Julia.
