Ship for Julia
Chapter 81 Jared Charters the Princess Ship for Julia
Julia instantly stopped in her tracks and looked at Carter.
Jared’s eyebrows furrowed as he stopped. A hint of anxiety briefly crossed his usually composed expression. His gaze zeroed in on Julia, studying her expression seriously.
Julia’s face remained blank, unwilling to reveal any of her emotions, making Jared feel more conflicted. He didn’t even notice that he was tightening his grip on her waist.
After a moment of silence, Julia spoke. “Wow. Never have I thought those words would come out of your mouth.”
Carter looked away. “It was a misunderstanding on my part earlier. Honestly, it almost…” He glanced at Jared and added, “I won’t fall for you again. I’ve made up my mind. Now, I’m sure. I want to spend my life with Vivien.”
Vivien gasped. Just by his words, her anger slowly subsided.
“Is that so?” Julia replied as she raised a brow. “Then, why are you telling me that? Are you showing off or something?”
“I know you‘ re mad at me, Julia. Let’s just think that fate made all of this happen. That we aren’t meant to be. Maybe in the next lifetime-”
“Okay!” Julia cut her off. “But spare me the next life. I don’t want to be associated with you again, more so my next life.”
Carter clenched his jaw as he listened to her words. However, considering the way he misunderstood Julia a while ago, he chose not to dwell on her harsh statement.
“Vivien and I are planning to get married on the eighth of next month. We’ll do it on the Princess Ship. You‘ re invited.”
The Princess Ship was the biggest, most luxurious, and top–notch cruise ship in Monroe City. The ship was among the top ten grandest ships in the world.
Carter‘ s gesture was quite grand. Imagine spending millions of dollars to give Vivien an expensive and unforgettable wedding.
Julia nodded slowly, thinking about Carter’s announcement. Then, her eyes caught Vivien, who was looking at her arrogantly.
your
‘Feeling smug, Vivien? Are you excited about getting married on the Princess Ship? In dreams. Just wait until I rent the entire cruise ship. Let’s see if you can still have your little wedding on the eighth, she thought.
‘Next month, huh?‘ Julia smirked evilly.
“Vivien, you‘ re really tough, huh? You know that my birthday will be on the eighth of next month. Still, you wanted to have your wedding on the same day?“.
‘As if that’s a coincidence. Julia sneered mentally. Of all dates in the world, you chose my birthday? That’s funny.”
On the other hand, Jared quietly glanced at Julia. He was aware that next month would be her birthday.
“You’re wrong, Julia. It was my mom who chose that date. Vivien‘ s not that kind of girl,” Carter rebutted, defending his fiancée.
Julia shrugged her shoulders, unbothered. She then hooked her arm around Jared’s bicep and

left the coffee shop.
As soon as they stepped out of the shop, a man appeared in front of Julia and Jared, stopping them in their tracks. His prying gaze focused on the couple.
“Who is he?” Julia asked Jared.
“I’m Henry Miles, Jared’s childhood friend,” Henry announced with a keen interest in his eyes as he scanned Julia’s face. “Are you really married to my friend, Miss?”
Julia nodded. “We’re just married in paper. It’s not like the relationship you‘ re thinking,
Mister.”
Henry caught the darkness in Jared’s eyes after hearing Julia’s answer. He was speechless. He never thought that Julia and Jared had any connection. It turned out that his friend was in a one–sided love all along!
Henry’s curious gaze stayed on Julia. He thought, ‘What made this woman different from the others? How did she manage to melt the heart of my friend whose heart is made of ice?‘
After a minute of staring at Julia, Jared stepped forward, hiding Julia behind him.
“If you want answers to your questions, go find someone else to talk to. She’s my woman, so back off.”
“Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.” Henry shook his head. “I’m just curious about her. Are you jealous, dude?”
Jared clearly knew that his friend was teasing him, but he didn’t care. He had more important. things to take care of.
Next month, on the eighth, would be Julia’s birthday. It would be the first time he would celebrate it with her. So, he wanted to throw her a birthday party she would never forget.
Of course, it should be held on the Princess Ship.
Days had passed, and Carter and Vivien’s wedding preparations were in full swing.
Carter had been busy for the past few days. He wanted to make up with Vivien, so he took wedding photos with her and bought her new dresses and jewelry.
Carter planned to take Vivien to the bridal shop today. Suddenly, he received a call.
“What?” he exclaimed. “Someone rented the entire Princess Ship?”
‘How could someone rent a very expensive ship? That would cost millions!‘
Carter originally planned to book a section, but his mother advised him that a wedding only happened once, so he shouldn’t hesitate to go all out. So, he decided to book an entire floor.
And that cost a fortune!
But when he thought about Vivien’s happy and excited face, he knew it would be worth it.
“Who would be rich enough to spend that much?” Carter asked in bewilderment.
Vivien looked at Carter, curious and shocked. She instantly knew what they were talking about. Now, she wanted to know who it was, too.
“The President of the Brooks Corporation, Sir. He said it was for his wife’s birthday.”
“What did you say?” Carter scoffed. “Brooks Corporation?!”
Carter was slightly surprised but felt it made sense. Although his company was already big in Monroe City, it was still far from the level of the giant Brooks Corporation
