Chapter 83 Jared Caught Julia and Lincoln Taking Wedding Photos
‘Her? How could she be so pretty?!”
Driven by envy, Vivien bit her lower lip. It wasn’t the first time she saw Julia in a wedding dress. But the first time was not as impressive compared to what she was wearing now.
Vivien remembered that Julia was wearing a plain gown with simple make–up and hairstyle last time. But today was different; not only was she wearing an elegant dress, but Julia also had exquisite make–up that perfectly matched her complexion and features.
Nobody would be able to miss how Julia had improved. She looked better, from her skin condition to her charming face, as if glowing before them. It was quite different from before, and now she appeared undeniably attractive.
Vivien looked at Carter, who was still staring at Julia in awe. “Carter, you-” Vivien’s words were interrupted when Carter suddenly walked toward Julia as if compelled to do so.
He stood beside Julia and glanced over his and Julia’s reflection in the mirror. Carter suddenly imagined a few moments with Julia, as if he was back in the past when Vivien wasn’t around. He imagined how they were choosing wedding dresses and taking a photo shoot.
When Julia noticed that Carter was approaching, she parted her red lips slightly. “What’s the matter?” she asked coldly.
Her words pulled Carter back to reality instantly. Seeing Julia before him, Carter realized their relationship was over. Because he would be married to Vivien soon.
“Why are you here on your own?” Carter asked as if nothing had happened.
Before Julia could answer, a familiar man arrived in the shop. “Who said she’s alone?”
Carter and Vivien immediately turned their heads to see who had just arrived.
It was Lincoln Hoffman, the second son of Cresco Group!
“You’re here,” Julia greeted him.
Julia asked Lincoln to accompany her in taking wedding photos for the shop’s promotional posters.
She initially planned to ask Jared, but many people would see it because they would display the photos in the shop.
And Jared wasn’t fond of showing his face to the public. So for his media interviews and the like, his assistant would attend on his behalf.
“Sorry honey, I was caught in a traffic jam on the road,” Lincoln said as he walked closer to Julia with an exaggerated expression.
‘Honey?‘ The endearment surprised Carter and Vivien as they watched the two.
Julia looked away from Lincoln calmly, aware of his little show for Carter and Vivien.
Once Lincoln reached Julia, he whispered right in her ear, “I caught the perpetrators who harmed you. What do you want to do with them?” After hearing that, Julia narrowed her dark eyes.
“Make them do something meaningful for the rest of their lives. Have them work underground and never let them out.”
‘Understood, miss. I’ll give the order,” Lincoln politely said.
Meanwhile, Carter and Vivien stood still, unable to hear the two discuss. From their point of view, Lincoln and Julia were pretty close.

Carter felt uncomfortable while Vivien eyed them with jealousy. She thought it would be fine if it were the little white–faced cowherd from before. But now, Julia was intimate with someone like him.
“Julia, is this your friend? Why didn’t you let your boyfriend come to take the photos? Is he busy?” Vivien broke the silence, purposely provoking them. She wanted to know that Julia was an unfaithful woman.
Lincoln immediately understood Vivien’s intention of saying that. “What nonsense are you talking about? I am her boyfriend.”
Vivien’s eyes sparkled. It seemed that Lincoln had no idea that Julia was cheating on him. Vivien smirked, anticipating Julia’s horrified reaction. “Then, what about the other guy? She even took the initiative to kiss him!” Vivien exclaimed, pretending to be shocked, and even covered her mouth after speaking to act as if it was a slip of the tongue.
‘She initiated the kiss?‘ Lincoln frowned and looked at Julia. He tried to tell her a message with his eyes, ‘If you want someone to play with, you can find me. You won’t be responsible if anything happens.‘
After reading the meaning behind Lincoln’s gaze, Julia glanced back at him and mouthed, ‘Rabbits don’t eat grass beside their nests.”
Vivien watched them, waiting for the part where Lincoln would confront his supposedly cheating girlfriend.
After a few seconds, Julia took the groom’s suit and handed it to Lincoln. “Don’t just stand there; hurry and change into these.”
Lincoln nodded. “Okay, wait for me for two minutes,” he said as he entered the fitting room.
That was it? Why wasn’t he angry?
Confused, Vivien’s eyes widened. ‘Shouldn’t he break up with her? Did he doubt me?‘
She was lost in her thoughts when Carter suddenly spoke. “Julia, how did you know him?” “Does it matter to you?” Unbothered, Julia casually replied.
Carter took a deep breath, and his expression turned gloomy at her response.
How she spoke to him before was entirely different from how she treated him now. Lincoln Hoffman’s status and appearance were remarkably higher and more impressive than his. That fact made him uncomfortable watching them happily taking wedding photos. The discomfort today was greater than seeing Julia with a guy inferior to him because, for him, Julia hired that guy to
act with her.
The
anger he felt that day was bearable, but Lincoln was different. Carter thought that he had to pay attention to him.
“You don’t want to marry him, do you?” Carter asked, hoping for a different reply from her. “Nonsense,” Julia replied without a second, flashing a half–smile.
Carter felt a burning sensation inside him. “Julia, may I remind you that your relationship wouldn’t work? Do you even know who he is? The second son of Cresco Group! His father is worth tens of billions. Do you think a man of his reputation would agree to let his son marry you?” The people in the shop felt the tension building up just by listening to Carter’s tone.
“Why do you care so much?” Julia spat and raised her eyebrows. “You–can’t you see the reality? You don’t belong to him! He’s just playing with you!”
Julia felt sick hearing Carter pushing his opinion on her life. “Why does it matter to you?” she
