Chapter 62 Julia, Marry Me
“Julia, I’ve come to pick you up.”
Julia halted upon hearing it and slowly fixed her gaze on the man who unexpectedly appeared at the hotel entrance.
‘Jared? Why does he come here?‘ She thought, her forehead wrinkled.
“That s him!” Carter realized Jared at first glance–the man who showed himself up at the Scott family’s banquet and the same man Julia offered her kiss.
Meanwhile, the guests gossiped about Jared’s sudden arrival, and they couldn’t help but speculate about his relationship with Julia.
On the other hand, Vivien fixed her eyes on Jared’s alluring presence and pondered if he was Julia’s boyfriend.
“Why did you come here?” Julia questioned, wondering about his presence inside.
‘He clearly stated thirty minutes. It’s still not time, yet he’s here. What is he thinking?”
Before Jared retorted, he leaned close to Julia’s ear while his thin lips almost kissed her skin, making everyone who witnessed quite feel intimidated.
“To help you.” Only two words he whispered in Julia’s ear with his hot breath tickling her skin. Suddenly, Julia felt numb and slightly blushed in reflex.
Yet, Carter tensed, witnessing Julia and Jared eyed at each other as if staring at a newly lovely married couple. He couldn’t help but feel covetous.
That wasn’t the end of the show. Everyone, including Julia, was caught off guard when Jared kneeled one knee before her, reached into his pocket, pulled out a small box, and showed the ring
on it.
Her jaw dropped, didn’t know how to react.
“Will you marry me, Julia?” Jared asked, bringing his eyes up with anticipation. He appeared calm, yet his heart almost skipped its beat.
He was on pins and needles, almost making him hear his heart pounding that Julia might reject. his proposal. Embarrassment would surely fill his heart.
It took a couple of seconds before Julia came back from her senses.
Jared must go with the flow with her acts, but Julia was unaware he would sacrifice that much. He had made lots of efforts to help her out. Would she reject him?
After thinking about everything he did, she said, “Yes!” Julia stretched her hand and handed it to Jared. “Can you please help me wear it?”
That time, Jared realized it was a success. All efforts had paid off.
Jared was filled with excitement and almost couldn’t hold himself anymore. He wanted to pick up Julia and spin around without minding all the eyes on them.
Jared remained kneeling, held Julia’s soft hand, and was about to put the ring on her.
A low growl was heard behind them before they could enjoy the moment together. “Julia!” Julia paused and looked at Carter, who was staring at her. Carter was now too visible; he was

outraged and didn’t like what both had done to him and the guest’s witness.
That didn’t stop Jared from placing the ring on Julia’s finger until it fitted.
Carter clenched his fist in wrath, his eyes darkened, looking like he could kill someone.
Meanwhile, Vivien saw Carter’s gaze on Julia. She couldn’t hide her green–eyed reaction. He was supposed to focus on her, yet his attention was on Julia.
However, Julia didn’t mind Carter. She moved her gaze down to Jared and took Jared’s hand, tiptoed, and brought her lips to kiss his lips. She took a small sip and said, “It’s a lovely gorgeous ring. I love it, and thank you…”
As Jared smiled ear to ear, he moved his thin lips to Julia’s kissable lips, making him laugh his ass
out.
He already looked like an evil one, and now that he showed his lovely smile, Julia felt she was overshadowed by the world, feeling her soul was about to be taken out of the blue. If Julia was unaware that Jared was only acting and cooperating with her, perhaps she had misunderstood and fallen in love with him.
It was because Jared’s smile could captivate everyone’s eyes. And the way he looked at Julia, it seemed he was looking into a new world.
“Let’s go now.” Jared grabbed Julia’s hand and pulled Julia, heading out.
Carter wasn’t still done. His anger almost exploded and could do something for them. At the same time, Vivien was aware of his feelings, so she held his sleeve.
“Carter, you-”
Vivien couldn’t continue what she was about to tell as Carter had already rushed out.
“Julia, stop!” Carter shouted. His voice could be heard from every corner.
Vivien could do nothing, only found herself dumbfounded. She kept raising her hand awkwardly and remained motionless.
When Carter chased Julia out, Julia was already standing at the side of the car, placing her hand on the door. Before she could enter, she looked at the side, seeing Carter’s lukewarm eyes.
“Carter, if you want to get married, why did you leave the bride alone inside and chase me? I’m afraid to say that quite disrespectfully,” said Julia.
Getting married? With everything transpiring and the situation worsening, how could he get married? The video played on the big screen was a question mark of whether that was real. He still hadn’t figured it out.
“Julia, I will ask you,” Carter sighed. “Did you push my mother?”
Carter stared at her, waiting for her response.
Julia cleared her throat. “I’ve already told you my answer many times, yet you still don’t believe it before, and now, you have asked me again. It’s up to you.” She was tired of explaining his side. “If you believe I pushed her, I won’t argue. Besides, now, I have nothing to do with you anymore.”
Right after she spoke, Julia opened the door and was about to enter.
Carter yelled, “You are not allowed to leave!”
He strode near her and was about to grab her wrists.
