Chapter 63 She Is My Woman
Before Carter’s hand touched Julia’s lovely skin, his arms were unexpectedly grabbed by someone at the side.
As he brought his eyes to the side along the hand clasping his arm all the way, he met Jared’s sharp gaze peeled on him.
With Jared’s face appearing cold and his inherent dignity, everyone who witnessed him would subconsciously want to surrender.
Carter’s heart raced, hearing it thud. All he thought, with his sharp gaze at Jared, would make Jared shrink back, but he didn’t foresee he was the first to step back and lose.
Didn’t Julia find Jared as someone who could play to stimulate her? How could someone who only sold his body and soul for money have a fierce and cold aura that would make someone scared stiff?
Especially the nobility he had, as if it was natural for him, because he had circles for a long time.

Carter thought, ‘So this person in front of me must be pretending, huh!”
With those thoughts lingering in his mind, Carter glanced at Jared’s cold face again with disdain. “Let go!” Carter scolded and wanted Jared to remove his hands from him.
Jared’s black eyes were half–closed, and a gloomy duster flashed in his eyes. “No, she won’t. She’s
my woman.”
He uttered those words coldly and declared dominance over her.
Julia’s jaw dropped, not expecting to hear that from him, and subconsciously glanced at Jared. As she saw his cold, firm eyes and with his serious expression on his face, Julia couldn’t help but shake like a leaf.
Carter looked at Jared angrily. “Do you even think you deserve it? Have you ever looked at your identity?!”
“I said let go of me!” Carter once again raised his voice while vigorously shaking Jared’s hand on his wrist.
In response, Jared pushed him hard and folded Carter down.
“AAH!” Carter shouted, his face red and purple, covered with sweat. With his bloodshot eyes focused on Jared, he folded his wrist.
“Dammit! Let me go, will you?!” Carter cursed furiously.
However, Jared’s face and eyes remained cold, and he wasn’t bothered by Carter’s curse. Instead, Jared tightened the grip on his wrist, making Carter’s face have a pained expression.
“What the…AHH!” Carter felt it was too painful, making him almost kneel in front of Jared. Even though he almost cried in pain, he still had the guts to look at him with hatred.

Julia didn’t only want to stand there and watch. She came forward and grabbed Jared’s arms. “Let him go,” commanded Julia.
With that, Jared sighed and continued to exert force while he grabbed Carter’s hand.
“He treats you like shit, yet you still plead for him?!” Jared questioned while gritting his teeth in
anger.
With those words uttered, Carter’s heart softened. When he glanced at Julia, he was no longer cold but somewhat gentle. It seemed Julia still had him in her heart.
Still, Julia shook her head. She looked at Jared and replied, “There’s no way I plead for him while he treats me like this. I’m not sick.”
“Then you-”
Julia interrupted Jared. “It’s just that I don’t want your hands to get dirty.”
Jared’s eyes softened, oblivious to those words to be told. He didn’t expect she was somewhat concerned about him.
“Is it true?” Jared’s coldness faded while his eyes brightened, and brows filled with joy could not be restrained.
His smile appeared on his face distracted Julia, making her slowly irresistible with his alluring charm and temptation.
Before Julia could respond, Jared let go of Carter’s hand. Jared felt Julia’s answer wouldn’t be needed, and the way her eyes darted at him could already satisfy him.
With that, Jared opened the car door for Julia and said, “Get in the car.”
Nodding her head, Julia replied, “Alright.”
“Julia!” Carter shouted with anger and anxiety in his voice. He held his hands together and didn’t want her to go.
Julia didn’t listen further. She hopped inside the car and closed the door while Jared went inside. Minutes later, the car drove away. Carter stopped after he took two steps. He was furious that there was no one he could vent his anger on.
“Carter!” Vivien shouted, holding her dress in her hands while tears escaped her eyes.
Lilian was with Vivien and was looking for Carter. Once they saw him, Lilian said, “Carter, don’t worry about it further. That video must be staged, and that stinky girl might not want to see you and Vivien getting along.” Lilian pointed inside. “Remember that you still had guests waiting inside. You must be back inside and finish the wedding ceremony with Vivien.”
‘Finish that ceremony?‘ Carter frowned as he thought about that. Even though he didn’t want to doubt Vivien, he felt that the video was real. It didn’t look like it was manipulated.
However, Julia knew about Adam; with Adam’s technology, there was a high chance it could be
faked.
At the same time, Carter was still too confused. But it was hard for him to find someone to identify it as Lilian had destroyed the USB drive.
As Lilian said, that was all Julia’s conspiracy with her, all aimed to destroy his relationship with Vivien. If Carter looked for someone to appraise it, then Vivien might have suspicions built within

her, though for sure, Vivien was sensible and wouldn’t blame him.
“Carter…” Vivien called his attention while pulling Carter’s hand pitifully.
Carter’s mind was now in a mess. After thinking about it deeply, he looked at Vivien and said, “Julia has ruined our wedding, and these following days aren’t good. You can look for someone and
date him.”
Those words almost made Vivien feel her world collapse. She froze while her feet were still nailed to the floor after being astounded. And now, the hatred she had for Julia grew within her heart.
‘Julia, you are back for an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, huh? Wait for the consequences of fighting for me soon!”
On the flip side, Julia, sitting inside the car, looked at her new ring that reflected. It was not valuable enough and seemed to be bought somewhere before he came.
His brows furrowed when he caught Julia staring at the ring he gave her. “You like that ring?‘
“It’s good, and its style is pretty,” Julia replied based on how she felt about it.
In the driver seat, Joseph glimpsed the ring on Julia’s finger through the rearview mirror. His eyes widened, and he was caught off guard seeing it. He had noticed the changes in how his boss had treated Julia, yet he unexpectedly gave her a ring.
As Joseph thought about it, Julia removed the ring and returned it to Jared. “Here. Thank you for your help.”
“You said you liked it. Why will you give it back to me?” Jared asked back and didn’t get the ring.
“I do like it. It’s true.” Julia looked back at the ring and then started back at him. “But it wasn’t mine after all.”
After Julia said that, she stuffed the ring into his palms.
Jared raised his eyebrows. He took a deep breath, got Julia’s hand again, and returned the ring to her.
“There’s no need to return what is given out,” Jared said.
Julia saw how Jared insisted on placing it back in her hand, so she didn’t return it. And just by staring at the ring, it wasn’t worth that much, so she accepted it again without planning to return
- it.
As time passed, what transpired recently of the president of the Ross Groups that had been quarreled by his ex–fiancée had made it into the headlines on the front page of the news, and it remained on trend.
As the news reached Carter, he spent a lot of money to withdraw the topic, making the news slowly subsided.
On the other hand, Julia placed her phone down and looked at Shiloh’s legs. “Almost there. I think you can try to stand up now.”
“You mean now?!” Shiloh was stunned and didn’t expect it.
On the side, Jared descended the stairs and saw Julia and Shiloh conversing about something.
