Chapter 40 Julia’s Blind Date (2)
Listening to the cold voice on the phone, Shiloh could almost imagine the expression on his brother’s face at that moment – dark and filled with anger. The idea of his brother being furious made Shiloh nervous and anxious.
Could it be possible? Does his brother really have feelings for Julia?
After careful consideration, Shiloh noticed subtle changes in his brother’s behavior towards Julia lately. For instance, there were issues of cleanliness. Jared had always been averse to being touched by women, but Julia seemed to be an exception. She acted casually and touched everything around her, even things she shouldn’t have. Shiloh recalled when Julia picked up a dish for him, and his brother was visibly disgusted. However, Jared still ate the dish from her to avoid wasting food.
The more Shiloh thought about it, the more uneasy he became. He realizes that he must ensure Julia leaves as soon as she cures his leg. Otherwise, what if his suspicions turned out to be true?
While Shiloh was worried, Jared’s face turned as dark as a tornado approaching.
How dare this woman go on a blind date, even though she’s already married to him? She’s openly harming him!
Seeing the Scott Family members kneeling and begging for mercy, Jared’s anger only intensified. He felt the temperature in the room drop significantly.
“Mr. Brooks, please spare us. We promise we won’t dare to offend you again, especially for your grandmother’s sake,” they pleaded desperately.
Jared put down his phone and turned his cold gaze to the Scott Family, “If it weren’t for my grandmother’s sake, you wouldn’t even have the chance to speak to me now.”
The Scott Family members were terrified, their faces turning pale as they practically kowtowed to Jared.
Jared stood up, preoccupied with Julia’s blind date, and no longer had time to deal with the Scott Family.
“I don’t want to see any of you in Monroe City tomorrow.”
With this sentence, he effectively condemned the Scott Family.
Naomi crawled up to Jared, clutching his pants, and pleaded mournfully, “Jared, I was wrong. I know I was wrong. Considering our previous engagement, can you spare me this time? I’m willing to serve you personally and do anything you want without asking for titles or positions.”
Joseph couldn’t help but grin as he witnessed the scene with Naomi.
Naomi was genuinely making a fool of herself! Did she not know that his boss had a cleanliness habit? How dare she pull his boss’s pants like that? Did she consider herself Julia?
If it were Julia, Joseph felt like she could pull up his boss’s pants and casually pull them down and hug his thighs without any repercussions.
While Joseph amused himself with such thoughts, Jared swiftly lifted his long leg and kicked Naomi away.
Joseph grinned again, accustomed to seeing women attempting to seduce his boss and knowing well that none of them ended well.
Jared half narrowed his pitch–black eyes and looked at Naomi, saying coldly, “Since you seem to enjoy serving people so much, then I will grant your wish.”
Upon hearing this, Naomi’s eyes lit up, and she eagerly raised her head.
“Joseph, take her to the entertainment club and let her do her job well,” Jared instructed with an expressionless face.
Naomi’s face instantly turned pale, and her mouth gaped open in shock, wide enough to fit an egg or a goose egg.
“I, I don’t want to! I don’t want to serve others; I want to serve you; I want to serve you alone!” Naomi suddenly climbed up from the ground and rushed towards Jared, desperate to change his mind.
