Chapter 239: Vicious Revenge and Counter Attack
Philip sauntered toward the desk, standing before Julia and Conrad as if he owned the company.
‘The audacity!‘ Julia silently remarked, smirking. The last shred of hope she had for her father instantly vanished.
Conrad, on the other hand, felt the same. He momentarily shook his head, feeling deeply ashamed of having such a father.
Heaving a deep sigh of anger, Julia scoffed. “Have you really no shame? How can you just show up and seize my brother‘ s company as if it was yours?”
But instead of responding to Julia’s accusation, Philip shifted his gaze toward Conrad, who had always been his obedient since he was a child.
“It’s your call, Conrad. If you want to give it to me, just say so,” Philip proudly urged his son, shrugging, deliberately ignoring Julia’s words.
Conrad let out a heavy sigh. “Honestly, if I was the only one who built this company from scratch, I might have thought about it in gratitude for giving me this life. But-”
He cast a glance at Julia, who was just seated beside him. “But Julia’s skills and determination made this company succeed. Without her, this company would probably still be nameless. So, if you‘ re determined to pursue the company, you should compromise with her instead.”
“No,” Julia interjected firmly, grinning as she stared at the greedy man before them. “There’s no chance I’d give this company to you. Why should we be grateful for a scum like you? You‘ ve never treated us as your children. Why don’t you go to Yasmin instead, and ask her to start up a company for you since she’s your only child who brings you joy, doesn’t she?”
“How dare you! After all that I’ve done for you! Such an ungrateful brat!” Philip slammed his hand onto the desk as if he were the siblings‘ boss.
Shaking her head in disappointment, Julia cleared her throat before glancing at the door. “Oliver! The man’s ready to take his leave.”
“Says who?” Philip interposed.
The doors swung open, and Oliver walked in.
“Escort him out,” Julia commanded at Oliver, who swiftly dashed toward Philip.
“Sir, let me show you the way,” Oliver butted in.
Philip’s eyes almost popped out of his sockets in shock as he glared at his daughter. “How dare you! You monstrous of a woman!”
Julia paid no heed to Philip‘ s tirade and turned to her brother calmly. “We can finally have our meal in peace. The food must have already gotten cold.”
Conrad smiled, his heart swelling with pride as he gazed at his sister, ignoring their father as Oliver tried to persuade Philip to leave. All his remaining respect for his father dissipated after -what he did today.
“I should have gotten you both aborted!” Philip yelled.
Fortunately, two security officers walked in and approached Philip. They started dragging him outside, but he fiercely resisted.
“Let me go, you idiots! Don’t you know who I am!” he screamed, face red in embarrassment and fury. The guards ignored him and had successfully thrown him out of the building after a few

He lay on the ground on his stomach, swallowing a mouthful of dirt, getting more embarrassed as more people observed his ultimate humiliation.
“Those wretched ingrates! Wait ‘til I expose your true colors!” he mumbled to himself.
After he left the company premises, he reached out to several journalists he was acquainted with, granting them an interview to publicize what had transpired in the company earlier.
Not long after, the internet blew up in his favor, with most citizens heavily condemning Julia and Conrad. Only a few sided with them.
Julia browsed her phone and saw the interview video of her father. She scanned the comment section, itching to reply to every nosy commenter who sided with her father.

“Come in,” she commanded.
The door swung open, and Jared entered the room. A worried look struck his face as he saw Julia engrossed in the news.
“We can resolve this. I’ll help you,” Jared assured her.
Julia put her phone down on the desk, the warmth of his words comforting her heart.
“Was I too much?” she blurted out, questioning herself. “Should I have just given in to his request?”
“He isn’t worthy,” Jared responded, his support for her unwavering.
Julia let out a smile in relief. It felt good how his words could soothe her troubled heart at any
moment.
“Don’t worry. I got this. I have already taken precautions.”
Jared’s face crumpled in confusion. “Huh?” He wondered if she was just sparing him her
troubles.
Julia’s eyes glinted as those curled like a crescent moon as she smiled.
Jared quickly dismissed his concerns after seeing Julia‘ s confidence. It seemed like she really had a plan after all.
Just when Jared contemplated if he should insist on helping his wife, Julia grabbed her phone and started editing some content. Curious, Jared inched toward her and looked at what she was doing. At that moment, his phone rang.
The call was from Yannie.
“Jared! Have you seen the news? That woman treated her father like trash! He‘ s her father. No matter how bad he was to her. She shouldn’t have abandoned him!”

“What do you mean?” Yannie pondered. While Philip‘ s videos of his interviews were still raking up views, Yannie decided to listen to her son. She checked out Julia’s social media account and saw her latest post, which already had about a million views at the moment.
The video contained footage from a surveillance camera in Conrad’s office. Honestly, there wasn’t a single camera inside, but Julia insisted on putting one prior to Philip’s arrival. Philip‘ s audacity in exaggerating the incident stemmed from his ignorance of the surveillance in his son’s office.
As soon as the video surfaced, netizens who were condemning Julia and Conrad were taken aback. The hurtful comments disappeared, and the voices fell silent.
“This….” Yannie mumbled, face flushing in embarrassment.
“I guess you’ve already seen it now. Then I’ll hang up.” With that, Jared ended the call. Yannie felt ashamed as she glanced at Cameron. Honestly, her aggressive approach to Julia was instigated by Cameron.
“Woah. That woman’s really scary, mom.” Cameron went on fanning the flames.
Yannie looked at her, baffled. Cameron was beside her the whole time she watched the surveillance footage. She had seen everything, so what was she talking about?
“What do you mean?” Yannie narrowed her eyes, pursing her lips. She was curious about Cameron’s perspective. Her daughter might have seen something she failed to see.
