“You narcissistic idiot!”
“You’re a scum!”
“Are you deaf? Or are you just blind?”
“If I beat you to the pulp now, you won’t see tomorrow, right?”
“Because of you, Jared is ignoring me! Never think of coming near me again, or else I’ll do more than beat you up! This is what happens if you piss me off more!” Julia shouted, threatening the man before her.
Little did she know, Henry and Jared witnessed everything with their own eyes. Henry shifted his eyes to Jared and nudged the man, “This is also your fault. You misunderstood her without letting her explain.”
However, Jared was so preoccupied that his mind was filled with what the woman just blurted out, “Because of you, Jared, is ignoring me!”
Gradually, the corners of his mouth curled up. He looked at Julia, kicking Carter endlessly, with gentle and doting eyes.
The woman who was too busy being so aggressive became tired of what she was doing, and because of exhaustion, she almost stumbled and was about to fall backward.
At that point, Julia could not react fast and use her reflexes. She closed her eyes, thinking she was about to fall, but seconds later, she didn’t feel the harsh impact; instead, she felt someone’s warm
embrace.
The embrace was so familiar that she immediately knew it was Jared! And when she opened her eyes, there, she saw his handsomeness.
Looking at him in that distance, her eyes twitched, and emotions quickly filled her heart. All those unspeakable and suppressed emotions, unsaid feelings, surfaced. Anger, pain, and the feeling of being wronged, everything came.
In the end, Julia uttered, “I don’t need your help.”
The moment she said those words, his low baritone voice rang in her eyes.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry my jealousy took the best of me. I won’t act like a jerk in the future.” His low–pitched voice worked like a charm because it stayed in her ears and her mind. She became fragile to the point that she knew she was enticed.
It was hard for a woman to resist such a voice. So, as expected, she ended up forgiving him. “I-“Just when Julia was about to say something, something in her system exploded. It was the bust of alcohol that took over her body and mind, making her feel so hot all over–even her consciousness was devoured by the heat wave.
“I feel so hot,” she whispered and started unbuttoning her clothes.
Julia started from the first button until she reached almost half of it; her soul was about to be seen and revealed.
Witnessing what she was doing, Jared didn’t hesitate to take his suit off and wrapped it around the woman. He hugged her body tightly so she wouldn’t be able to continue what she was doing.
On the other hand, Carter supported himself through the wall and climbed up from the ground. When he looked in his ex–fiancee’s direction, he saw how her clothes were unbuttoned, and

another man embraced her. Carter couldn’t stomach the thought of someone else having her.
“Give her back to me!” Although Carter was outraged after Julia beat him. up, his enough to prevent his worry that someone might take advantage of the woman.
Jared raised his eyes and looked at Carter coldly, “She’s mine.”
The moment Carter heard that, his nerves pulsated. “I am her fiance! Let her go!”
While speaking, Carter saw Jared tighten his arms around Julia’s body.
“Hmm…” Julia subconsciously yawned.
It was evident that Jared was provoked by what Carter stated. He clenched his fists tightly, and hist eyes darkened. “I’ll repeat it: she is my fiancee, my woman. Let her go!”
Jared was pissed off, and it was evident in his eyes. Because of irritation and jealousy, he lifted Julia’s chin, bowed his head, and kissed the woman.
Henry, who witnessed that, was shocked and happy at the same time.
‘Whoa, that’s none other than the head of Brooks Clan!‘ He admired Jared deep inside, mainly how he acted just now.
While Henry was happy, Carter, on the other hand, was beyond furious. His eyes widened as gasps escaped his lips.
“You bastard! I said, let her go!” He shouted and strode towards Jared with a fist, readying to punch him.
Too bad, before Carter could do what he desired, Henry tripped him, and he ended up falling to the ground.
The sound of the impact was so loud the moment his body hit the ground. He even fell face–first.
Because of the commotion, they caught the attention of the servers.
“Excuse me, is there a problem here, Sir?” The waiter looked at Carter, who had a bruised nose and swollen face, and probably guessed there had been a fight here just now. Even though the waiter noticed the situation, he didn’t dare to speak up because they didn’t seem like ordinary people, primarily upon seeing their fancy clothes and watches.
Jared glanced at Carter, who was on the ground with no guilt in his face. “This man drank too much and flirted with my wife, but I stopped him.”
“Nonsense!” Carter spat blood and struggled to get up from the ground. His originally handsome face had become as embarrassing as it could be.
“She is my fiancee. What about you? You two have nothing to do with each other!” Carter scowled at Jared. Even amidst the mess, Jared still hugged Julia tightly in his arms. And every time she tried to break free, he would press her down, refusing to let her go.
Julia’s figure fit Jared’s body; even her chest was perfectly squished against his as he held her closer. It was evident that Jared was enjoying their closeness.
With that kind of sight, the more Carter thought about it, the more angry he became.
Carter was like an exploding volcano in so much anger. And as he flared with rage, Jared suddenly took something out of his pocket and unfolded it to show the waiter.
“My marriage certificate with her.”
It was the papers again! Carter could still clearly remember that in the hospital last time, he saw Jared carrying the same.
“It’s fake, it’s-”
Before Carter finished speaking, the date on the notebook attracted all his attention.
“This, this time this ”

“Why, how could it be? This… this is impossible, this-
Amidst talking and not wanting to believe everything, a realization hit Carter’s mind, and suddenly, his eyes widened as he shifted to Julia in disbelief.
‘Is this marriage certificate real?‘ He thought.
Thinking about it, he believed that the reason why Julia ran straight to the Civil Affairs Association was because she was disheartened.

took Carter aback. He couldn’t fathom the thought of it. Surprised, he raised his head and looked at Jared.
“How did you meet? I married her on this date, di you-”
Before Carter could finish asking, Jared spoke indifferently, “I met her in front of the Civil Affairs Association. It just happened that my fiancee dropped me, and so did hers. So why not be together? Long story short, we got our marriage certificate, and now, she’s my wife. I’m telling you, when you pester my wife again, don’t blame me for what I will do!”
‘It’s true… It can’t be!‘ Carter panicked and denied everything in his head.
Slowly, as he staggered while eyeing them, he backed away until his back hit the wall. It was as if reality struck him.
But Jared felt nothing but coldness; he didn’t even care if he hurt the man’s feelings. Instead, he bowed and hugged Julia tighter before he decided to leave.
After leaving Carter, they entered the car, and Henry drove the vehicle for them. Henr couldn’t help but look at the couple through the rearview mirror occasionally because of their actions. “I feel hot! Let me take my clothes off!” Julia drunkenly exclaimed. The alcohol invaded her consciousness in her system. She was desperate to take off her clothes to relieve the heat. Shocked by the circumstances, Henry gasped. In his mind, he regretted driving for them because he had no other choice but to witness such a scene.
“Don’t move around, or else…” Jared was agitated and frustrated.
Not only because she was so drunk but also because Julia was almost out of her clothes; her exposed black lace was enough to seduce and lure him, and God knew how thin his patience was then.
“Hmph! I’m going to take it off!”
