Chapter 172: You Stole My Heart
After noticing Cameron’s behavior, Jared turned back to look at her with a cold face. Cameron felt as if she was about to freeze when she saw the sharp eyes looking at her with such intensity. “No, it’s not what you think. It was her who stole your little jade statue. I saw it and asked her to return it to you. She didn’t give it back, so I got it back for you-
“And that’s why you hurt her?” Cameron froze. It felt as though a bucket of water was splashed onto her. Her heartbeat rose as she looked at Jared’s murderous eyes. Although Jared had always been indifferent to her, he had never looked at her this way.
“I… I didn’t do it on purpose.”
Jared snapped. “Apologize to her!”
Cameron pouted. She didn’t want to apologize to anyone, let alone that woman. “Jared, you are too biased! Although I accidentally hurt her, she beat me up, too. 1-”
“If you don’t apologize, you won’t ever get to step in here again!” Jared interrupted Cameron with high emotions, and the young lady couldn’t believe her ears at all. Her brother actually threatened. to kick her off completely.
Cameron glanced at Julia and lowered her eyes. She realized that it was all Julia’s fault. Her brother had never treated her like this before Julia came into the picture.
At that moment, Cameron understood that Julia held a special place in her brother’s heart. If she wanted to deal with Julia in the future, she had to do it without leaving any traces, just like what she did with Maddie.
‘Julia! Just wait and see. One day, you will get kicked out of this villa yourself. I will make sure no one will help you so I can torture you to fucking death,‘ she thought ruthlessly.
Nonetheless, in order to succeed in her plan, she had to humble herself right now. She got on Julia’s feet, and with teary eyes, she begged, “I’m sorry!”
Julia looked at Cameron expressionlessly, raised her brows, and coldly said, “I don’t accept your apology.”
‘What?!‘ Cameron never thought that Julia would be like this.
Julia looked down on her. “What? Do you think just because you apologized, I would accept it? Ha, that’s not how the world works, sweetheart.”
She would never let this slide. That‘ s how Julia is.
On the other hand, Shiloh looked at Julia with bright eyes. He felt that the situation had escalated, and although Julia’s behavior was a bit unreasonable, he was a little pleased by her unmatchable arrogance.
‘She has a point. Apologizing after doing something so severe is hypocritical, and accepting an apology would make you a weakling too….
After seeing Julia’s attitude, Jared’s gaze didn’t even soften. He just looked at Cameron and said, “That settles it. Don’t ever come here again, Cameron.”
Cameron’s tears dripped one by one. “But… I…”
“Don’t you understand what I’m saying? I said go, or do you want me to personally drag you out of here instead?”
Cameron wiped her tears, knowing that Jared wouldn’t change his mind or anything. No matter what she said at this time, it was useless. Perhaps she would reason with him a few days later

Just as Cameron was about to leave, Jared told her she could take anything, but he paused mid–word and looked at Julia. “Except Julia. You can never take her. She’s mine.”
It was so bizarre how they looked and acted. It seemed as though they were making fun of Cameron, so the latter just ran away.
Once she was gone, Julia looked at Jared with a questioning gaze. “I know how important she is to you, Jared. Are you sure you‘ re fine with this? You would never regret it?”
“It’s fine, baby. After all, I’m the one to blame for not protecting you…”
Jared’s words made Julia blush. She couldn’t help giggling because Jared always says cheesy stuff like this. Still, she kept her composure. “Don’t be hard on yourself, baby. It’s not like. anyone expected her to steal from me.”
What Julia said was also true. It’s not that she was defenseless against Cameron; she was just at the wrong place at the wrong time, and Cameron took the bait. Besides, it was Sunday, so they knew that Cameron planned this deliberately.
Just then, Julia recalled how firm Cameron was in claiming that the jade statue was Jared‘ s.
‘So, this little jade statue is very important to Jared, huh?‘
If that’s the case, then maybe she will discover some important things from him.
“Jared, I want to ask you something,” Julia said.
“What is it?”
Julia put the statue in front of Jared. “I remember you said before that this jade statue was given to you by a very important person. Who is it for you to treasure this thing this much?”
Jared looked at Julia with eyes as deep as the sea, and he instantly knew the purpose of her inquiry.
The Watson family is long out of the picture, and the little girl who once owned this jade statue is no longer here.
“You seem to be particularly concerned about it, aren’t you?” Jared asked back without answering, staring straight at Julia, trying to catch any unusual reaction from her.
