Chapter 162: Julia Mends Jared’s Pants
“What are you doing?” The voice was low, revealing a hint of eerie darkness.
Shiloh was so startled that his pores seemed to explode, causing him to withdraw his hand. subconsciously.
“Don’t move around!” Just as she was about to grab Shiloh’s sleeve, she raised her them, and said, “It’s only the last stitch, and you almost tore it.”

When Jared walked over, he realized that the two of them were engaged in serious business. Nonetheless, the angle where he saw them could have been more favorable.
“It’s broad daylight, and you’re sitting in the living room, so close to each other. Aren’t you afraid of being seen by other people and being the center of gossip?” he asked, calming his jealousy that he didn’t want to admit.
Upon hearing this, both Julia and Shiloh exchanged knowing glances. The ‘others don’t think about it; only you think about it‘ glance.
Julia continued, “So, should we hide in a room to ensure no one catches a glimpse?” Jared narrowed his eyes slightly, expressing his preference for staying in the living room. He didn’t like what he saw, but Julia had a point. Of course, he won’t tell that to her directly. “Okay! It’s mended,” Julia announced as she cut off the end of the thread and looked at Shiloh’s sleeve with satisfaction. “I told you, I know how to sew clothes,” she added, mocking him. Shiloh nervously gave a slight smile, which made him look constipated. He said, “I’ll go now! Your technique is excellent, and you can’t see any traces. It’s amazing!” Shiloh turned his sleeves upside down, admiring with surprise on his face.
On the other hand, despite its faintness, someone with plenty of idle time insisted on rolling up his sleeves to search for any signs of stitching.
“You can mend clothes?” Jared once again unearthed Julia’s newfound skill.
He realized that Julia was akin to an onion–each layer peeled away revealed another facet, rendering her unpredictable.
Laden with boundless curiosity, people were compelled to keep stripping those layers, yearning to discover the temperament residing within. Jared has no problem with peeling all of Julia.
“I used to have spare time, so I learned how to mend things myself,” Julia replied, tidying up needle and thread before stowing them in her sewing bag.

What was Jared up to? Shiloh saw Jared’s covert actions and grew increasingly curious about his brother’s intentions. Then, he witnessed his brother tug forcefully at his trouser button, causing it to snap off.
“You can help me make it up, too,” Jared told Julia.
The words came out of Jared’s mouth, and his action left Shiloh speechless. A drop of sweat dripped from Shiloh’s forehead. They didn’t know what to say. But he knew that this was Jared being jealous, but why would he be jealous of him of all people?
Joseph, who was in the living room, too, just clicked his tongue as if liking what happened. He glanced at Shiloh when he reached the door and left.
Julia looked at Jared’s pants and asked puzzledly, “Why is it damaged here?”
“Where did it tear?” Jared asked, pretending not to know. He then sat down beside Julia. Julia tilted her head, focusing on the torn area of his pants. “This part is ripped.”

It does seem like a rip. It was not the one that looked like it was forced a few seconds “Well, you should take off your pants,” Julia said, without knowing how vulgar she sounded. Jared almost smiled but didn’t. His eyes glanced at Shiloh and said, “Since he hasn’t taken his off, I won’t either. Let’s leave it as it is.”
Shiloh’s eyes widened just as Julia’s face got confused. How could she sew pants while Jared was wearing them?
While Shiloh’s sleeve had a tear at the cuff, which was easier to mend, the problem with Jared’s pants was near the part where it shouldn’t be touched in public.
Julia’s face reddened as her mind was already showing images of her sewing Jared’s pants while it was still on his body.
She shook her head and asked, “How could I sew that?” If others see this, it will create a negative impression on them. But mostly on her since no one goes against Jared in the house.
As she sighed, Julia told Jared again, “You’d better take it off. What if I accidentally grasped something else or sewn something else instead?”
But they both knew what Julia meant, which embarrassed her even more!
“It’s okay, I trust your skills.” Jared stretched his legs apart and put one hand on the back of the sofa, “I’m ready. You can start now.”
Julia blinked. The way Jared positioned himself, emanating a masculine solid aura, seemed assertive. If she were to walk past and end up in the space between his legs, wouldn’t that invade his territory? Would she become an easy target for him?
Shiloh stood up; he couldn’t handle it any longer. She couldn’t continue seeing that it wasn’t worth sacrificing his appetite.
“It’s okay if you don’t remove them,” she said. Lying across Jared’s lap to fix his pants wasn’t something she was comfortable with. Also, it felt too intimate in a public place where any Brooks family would see them.
Jared felt something tightening on the lower part of his body and decided to say, “Okay, I’ll remove them.”
The living room was so silent that even a dropped pin could be heard. Julia and Shiloh, who hadn’t yet left, stared at Jared in astonishment. Ignoring their gaze, Jared swiftly removed his pants and handed them to Julia.
“Fix it?” he asked.
Julia looked at the trousers in his hand, her mouth slightly agape, momentarily taken aback. Her mind got stuck for a moment. You can take them off, but why in front of her? Couldn’t he go upstairs, change, and then give her the pants?
Thankfully, Shiloh was there. Just as Julia was silently relieved, Shiloh decisively turned around and marched upstairs, visibly frustrated.
In the living room, only Julia and Jared remained. Julia held the man’s pants in her hand, an inexplicable feeling swirling within her. Never mind, don’t overthink it. Just focus on sewing the pants.

fixing his pants, Jared felt a contentment that he could cherish forever.
While observing, Jared’s gaze landed on the scissors. He had seen Julia use them to cut the thread earlier when she was mending Shiloh’s clothes. With his eyes narrowing as deep as the sea, Jared got up after a few seconds. He casually reached for an orange from the plate, took the scissors, and hid them behind him.
It was only a button, and Julia’s mending progressed swiftly.
“It’ll be ready soon,” Julia informed Jared before glancing at the table.
“Huh? Where are the scissors?” She needed them to cut the thread neatly for a finished look.
“Did they fall on the floor?” She recalled having placed the scissors on the table a moment ago. Bending down, Julia looked around the table’s legs but couldn’t locate them.
“Did you see the scissors?”
Jared scanned the floor, then calmly replied, “No.”
Puzzled, Julia scratched the back of her head. “It’s strange. I’m pretty sure they were at the dinner table earlier. Could your brother have taken them upstairs?”
“If you don’t have scissors, why not just use your teeth?” Jared suggested, his gaze half–lidded as he looked at Julia’s mouth.
“What?” Using teeth?
Julia blinked. Biting the thread with her teeth was indeed a solution. However, there was a catch. There was a pair of pants! And the sewing spot was in an awkward place.
“Come on, it’s getting cold, and I’m not wearing long johns. I’m exposed, and it’s chilly,” Jared playfully urged.
Glancing at Jared’s legs, Julia observed their muscular form and couldn’t help but admire them. Altogether, it was a strange mix of making her blush and feel slightly flustered.
After hesitating for a few seconds, Julia gritted her teeth with secret determination. Bracing herself, she opened her mouth, exposing her white teeth, and bit down on the thread.
