If such a robot was successfully developed and mass–produced, just its function of protecting the owner would monopolize the entire industry market. No wonder Peter attached such great importance to this project.
“Now, let’s demonstrate the functions of our robot to everyone…”
As the host’s words fell, Peter’s eyes also brightened, looking forward to the reactions of everyone after seeing the robot’s functions.

In Mark’s low and impatient tone, the annoyance that arose from Mae’s presence grew even stronger.
His attention kept drifting back to Mae’s face. Seeing her seemingly carefree smile, it seemed that she hadn’t noticed him, or even if she had, she didn’t care at all.
This perception made Mark’s already furrowed brow even tighter, and he couldn’t help but transfer some of his anger to Peter.
At this moment, Peter’s confident smile disappeared, and cold sweat started to appear on his forehead.

“This robot went on strike?”

Mae smiled and kept her eyes on the long program displayed on the big screen. Suddenly, she asked, “You mentioned before that you wanted to join Gray Corporation, but your grandfather and elder
brother wouldn’t allow it?”
Peter didn’t know why she suddenly brought up this topic, pouted, and a hint of sarcasm surged in her eyes. “Would they let me in? They used despicable means to take away what rightfully belonged to me. Why would they dare to give it back to me?”
If it weren’t for the fear of people in this circle gossiping, the old man probably would have thrown her out of the house after her parents died..
