Celeste didn’t know where he was going, so she could only play along for now.
“Not much. The income from TV dramas is better, about ten thousand per episode. If there are many episodes, overall I might make several hundred thousand, but then there are taxes, assistant wages, transportation, food, accommodation and other expenses, so there’s not much left. Celeste said, “As a woman, all we want is to find a reliable man to spend our lives with. What does reliable mean? Trusting me with his money is what it means for me. My ex was a miser. We were married for so many years, but I never got to manage our finances. If it wasn’t for that, we
wouldn’t have been divorced.”
Liam’s eyes twitched, “I thought you guys divorced because you were frigid?”
“Ah?” Celeste was taken aback, quickly searching for an excuse, “Yeah, that’s right. He didn’t let me manage the money, so I was unhappy and turned frigid. If you let me manage the money, I’ll definitely be full of passion for you.”
While she was talking, Celeste’s right thumb managed to free itself from the rope binding her. Then, without making a sound, she continued to pull out the rest of her fingers.
“Really?” Liam gritted his teeth, “Then show me some of your passion.”
Celeste blushed as if she were shy. She spoke quietly, “Take off my blindfold. I think I’ll feel more when I see your expression
Liam reached out and lifted her blindfold with his index finger. Just when Celeste thought she was about to see the face of this villain, he let go of the blindfold and put it back on her, then began to unbutton her shirt, and said in a low voice, “I still think it’s better if you don’t see.” As he began to undress her, Celeste turned pale and began struggling desperately. “You bastard! Let me go!”
She used all her strength and almost broke free. Liam quickly straddled her, grabbed her wrists with one hand and raised both her hands above
her head.
“Why are you cursing now? Weren’t you just saying you wanted to be with me?”
“I don’t want to be with you! If you dare touch me, I’ll castrate you!”
No sooner had she spoken those words than she felt a kiss on her face. That horrible voice said in a low tone, I’ve already touched you, so what are you going to do about it?”
Celeste’s hand suddenly broke free from its bonds and launched a sudden attack on his lower abdomen.
Liam narrowly escaped her surprise attack, his back breaking out in a cold sweat. He then sighed quietly. “You’re still as feisty as ever.”
Feeling utterly defeated, Celeste felt the drug’s effects growing stronger. Now, still pinned down, she has no more strength to fight back. In fact, she was starting to crave his touch.
The thought of being raped, or even murdered, by some unknown scumbag choked her up with sorrow.
“You’d better get off me now, or I swear I’ll kill you!”
Hearing this, Liam immediately realized shit just got real. He let go of her and promptly removed Celeste’s blindfold.
She kept her eyes closed, her cheeks flushed, but she looked defeated, as if she had just been rolling with the punches.
Liam’s heart ached. He quickly called out to her, “Letti, don’t be scared. It’s me.”
