Steven felt like something was off about Liam whenever he called him ‘bro.’
He stared at Liam for a few seconds, then squinted and said, “How come I never noticed before that you’re such a shameless guy?”
Liam answered calmly, “Mainly because you’ve been abroad for so long, we haven’t had much interaction. We can get to know each other better in the future.”
Steven shot him a glance, sneered, and said, “Do you think that just because Celeste accepted you, you’re good to go?”
Liam humbly said, “Your approval is the most important thing. Celeste values her family’s opinions.
Steven’s face had a blank expression.
“You’re pretty confident. What if I don’t fancy you?”
Liam looked up and said, “Then there’s nothing I can do.”
Steven was a bit surprised by his answer.
Liam took out his phone and made a video call.
A few seconds later, the call was connected, and a woman appeared on the screen.
“Liam, where are you? Why is it so dark?”
Liam said, “I’ll change the angle; it’s brighter this way.”
He then handed the phone to Steven. Steven saw the woman in the video, froze for a moment, and closed his lips tightly, unable to say a word.
The woman was also stunned for a moment, then said, “Steven, it’s you.”
Steven’s jaw was tight, and it took him a while to utter a “Hmm.”
After receiving Liam’s call, Celeste went downstairs
Liam said on the phone that he was waiting for her in Steven’s car.

Steven gave him a cold stare, “Just sit quietly in the passenger seat, don’t point fingers, or do you want to drive?”
Celeste was speechless.
Wow! Even if he was angry, he still let Liam in the car. Her brother was pretty generous, huh?
Liam wasn’t discouraged by this remark; instead, he took the initiative and said, “Then I’ll drive. The driver needs to be steady, there are so many people in the car.”
Steven wished he could smack him with the steering wheel. Why did he love to talk so much?!
Not wanting to waste any more words on Liam, Steven pulled over, unbuckled his seat belt, and said coldly, “Come on, show me your skills.”
Liam didn’t rush to get out of the car but turned to Celeste and said, “Letti, you sit in the front; I need your direction.”
