In Trisha’s eyes, Nicolas, being in the entertainment industry and living in a world full of temptations, naturally couldn’t be as reliable as Jace, an excellent medical student. So she rarely compared the two.

Trisha made a face of disdain and muttered, “Narcissist!”
Just then, the doorbell rang.
Nicolas went to answer the door, and Trisha went into the room to change.
When she came out, Nicolas was sitting on the sofa, petting their cat, Fluff. Beside him was an open gift box containing a light–green floral dress with a single shoulder strap
It looked a bit like a beach dress but felt a bit more upscale.
Her eyes lit up, “Is this for me?”
Nicolas glanced at her, “No, it’s for my girlfriend.”
Trisha said, “I am your girlfriend now” She paused, then added, “In other people’s eyes.”
Nicolas snorted, “You’re my girlfriend, and you dare to say Jace is better looking than me in front of me? If you think he’s handsome, let him buy a dress for you
Trisha was speechless.
“You’re so petty. I was just making an offhand comment, and you take it seriously. You’re a man, can’t you be a bit more magnanimous?”
Nicolas shrugged nonchalantly, “I don’t need to be magnanimous. I’m not exactly a whole man right now anyway”
Trisha was speechless.
She was just making a casual comment, why was Nicolas being so sensitive? He wasn’t like this before.
Trisha was quite smitten with the dress, knowing it was Nicolas who had prepared it for her made it a bit better. So she softened her tone and said, “Nicolas, you’re the manliest man in my book. You’ve got a heart of gold for your friends, and you treat your girlfriend like a queen. I dream of having a man like you for a husband.”
Nicolas was amused by this.
He cast a sideways glance at Trisha and snorted, “Dream on, scaredy–cat:”
Trisha was speechless.
Nicolas had the nerve to push his luck!
She pouted, deciding to put up with him for the sake of the dress.
In the late afternoon, around five o’clock, Steven showed up at Grandview Heights to pick up Celeste.
The resort where the birthday party was being held was a bit far away. It was about a forty to fifty–minute drive, so Steven had come early.
As soon as he reached the parking lot, he spotted a guy who was a total buzzkill
He tried to ignore Liam and find another parking spot, but after driving around, he realized all the spots were either taken or locked up, except for the one where Liam was standing
Annoyed, Steven drove back to Liam
Liam was dressed to the nines and had his hair neatly groomed, making him look like a lost male model standing there.
After noticing that Steven’s car was approaching, he courteously vacated the parking spot for Steven
As Steven parked and rolled down his window to say something, Liam beat him to it, saying, “Bro, parking spots are hard to come by here. I saved one for you in advance
