To Jane’s surprise, after Annie’s words, Drake slowly walked up to her and directly held her hand, whispering softly.
“Let’s go.”
Watching Drake’s actions, Jane was puzzled, not to mention Annie’s shock.
Just as Drake was about to take Jane out of the ward, Annie finally regained her senses and shouted loudly at their backs.
“Drake, do you really not care about my life or death? Even if I die, you wouldn’t even spare me a glance?”
Hearing Annie’s words, Drake paused for a moment, but he still held onto Jane’s hand and walked
out of the room.
“Drake…” Annie’s hysterical screams came from behind them.
Drake took Jane outside the ward and then walked to a quiet spot near the staircase. He let go of
her hand and turned around to look at her.
“You should go back first. I’ll handle this.” Drake said.
Upon hearing this, Jane felt a flash of anger for a moment. What did he mean by asking her to leave?
Before Jane could continue her thoughts, Drake continued speaking. “Her emotions are very unstable. I’m afraid she might do something irrational or say hurtful things that would make you uncomfortable.”
Hearing his words, Jane was slightly stunned. Was he worried about her?
“Don’t you believe what Annie said?” Jane asked.
Hearing Jane’s question, Drake looked into her eyes and shook his head, “She has lost all credibility in my eyes.”
“Okay.” Upon hearing this reply, Jane suddenly felt more relieved
“I know that even though it’s not good to speak ill of Annie in front of you, I still need to remind you that she is not what she appears to be. She wasn’t before and she isn’t now.” Jane said softly.
“I know.” Drake nodded without any rebuttal.
“Alright then, I’ll go back first. You can deal with things here.” Not wanting to see Annie’s annoying face again, Jane didn’t insist on staying. Anyway, she had seen enough of Annie’s situation; it was nothing life-threatening.
Jane returned to the apartment, thinking that Zane and Zoe would be there as well, but there was no one in the apartment at all.
She had call them and found out that they had gone to an amusement park with Zach leading the
way.
After asking which amusement park they were at, Jane immediately rushed over.
At this amusement park, the three kids ran into Michelle Jones.

Michelle was in a bad mood and, at her older brother’s request, accompanied his children to the amusement park to relax while trying to relax herself as well.

“Aunt is not an unfamiliar person. We’ve already met many times before, and Aunt even gave you a birthday gift last time,” Michelle continued trying to build connections, unwilling to give up on winning Zach over.
Drake had said that as long as she gained recognition from Zach, he would agree to be with her.
Without hesitation, Zach replied, “When I go back tonight, I’ll have someone send the gift back for
you.”
“It’s not that, Zach. Once a gift is given, it can’t be taken back,” Michelle’s expression turned awkward. She didn’t expect Zach to be so difficult to deal with.
“Fine then, I’ll buy a new one and return it to you,” Zach said again.
Seeing how hard Zach was trying to distance himself from her, Michelle couldn’t help but feel displeased.
“Zach, Auntie doesn’t want to distance herself from you. Auntie just wants to play with all of you, and I’ve brought an adorable little sister for you to meet. What do you say, Zach? Would you like that?” Michelle said with a smile, hoping to be included in their activities.

Daisy immediately pouted and burst into tears, running into Michelle’s arms and sobbing, “Auntie, they bullied me. I don’t want to play with them anymore.”
Watching her niece run into her arms, Michelle’s face turned sour, and a malicious plan took form in her mind.
All of this was because of Jane; she couldn’t marry Drake because of her. Now Jane’s child had offended her niece. She found it too detestable.
And then there was Zach, he still wore an arrogant expression despite how hard she tried to please him like this. Instead of this, it would be better if they all disappeared.
Once Drake lost his son, she would find a way to get pregnant with his child. The position of Madam Drake would undoubtedly be hers.
With a malicious plot brewing in her heart, Michelle put on a smiling face as she looked at the three little ones.
