Aliza pov
Feeling someone patting my arm, I try to move my fingers before I slowly try to open my eyes and adjust my eyes to the light in the room.
“Aliza!” I hear Liz’s voice and turn my head slightly to the side when I see her sitting on the chair beside the bed. She looks more exhausted than before and I know she hasn’t slept the whole night.
“Are you alright? Do you know anything?” I say all at once and move my arms to push my body further up the bed.
When she left yesterday, she was going to find out what she could and she didn’t come back until now. Moving my legs it’s weird, they feel much better today.
“I’m fine!” She says when I take off the quilt and look at my legs, they are still black and bruised but they don’t hurt anywhere near what they did yesterday. Is it possible to heal this fast?
“How do you feel?” she says when I lift my broken leg a bit, examine how it feels when I move my foot I’m surprised by it.
“Much better! The pain is almost gone!” I say and place it down on the bed again before putting the quilt back over my legs.

“You didn’t answer my question! Did you find anything?” I say and turn to look at her when she takes a deep breath and looks down at her lap. It’s clear to me, she knows something.
“They left to go after the others that were in on this!” she says and my stomach drops by her words. Even if we thought that was the case, I still hoped it wouldn’t be so.
“Did you find out where they left to?” I say and look at her when she shakes her head.
“No, none of the others knows or won’t tell me,” she says and that’s it. I’m not staying in here another second!
Tossing the quilt to the side. I lift my legs over the edge of the bed and sit up while holding on to the bed with my hands. My head starts spinning at the fast movement when I feel her hand on my arm, steadying me when I take a moment to let it calm down.
“You can’t walk, let’s get the guard!” she says when I stop her from leaving my side.
“I can jump on one leg. just give me a hand.” I say and place my feet on the ground before I push off the bed and stand up.
“Take it slow!” she says when I try to place some weight on my broken leg and the moment I do it’s painful but not anywhere near how it felt yesterday Trying to walk a step by holding onto her arm I manage to move forward and it doesn’t feel too bad.

“Where are you going?” she asks me when I move away from the bed.
“Bathroom first, then I’m out of here!” I say and start to limp over to the bathroom with her help.
Coming to the door she opens it, while I get inside and head over to the toilet. Doing my business, she waits outside and starts to limp over to the sink and wash my hands. Picking up a hand towel, I raise my head and look into the mirror while drying my hands on it. I just stop and stare into my reflection when I lean a bit forward.
My face has healed up a bit and I am nowhere near as swollen as I was yesterday. The bruising is still there but has started to faint, and all this just over a couple of hours.
Tracing my hand down my cheek, I follow a big bruise when I see her open the door and come back inside.
Moving the shirt a bit to the side I look at the place where I felt the pain last night but there is no trace of anything and not even a bruise.
Pushing my shirt more to the side I start to examine my shoulder and a bit down on my chest but there isn’t even a scrape. Feeling puzzled over this whole thing Liz comes to stand behind me and looks at my shoulder.
“What are you looking at? You have healed there” she says, and I drop the hold on my shirt and turn around to look at her.

passed out, but by the look of it I’m all healed,” I say when I see her eyes dilate.
“Are you sure it was from you and not Darian?” she says and I stop breathing for a second and just look at her.
Why didn’t I think of it last night? But can the bond be that strong when I only have marked him and me being without a wolf, it didn’t cross my mind that would be him I felt? If it was him, how hurt did he have to be for me to feel it?
“You think it’s possible it was from him?” I say when I manage to speak again.
Her look says it all, and I have to place my hand on the sink for some support.
“But I have only marked him, and I’m wolfeless. How can the bond be that strong so I would feel it and be affected by it?” I say out loud and look at her. I know she can’t give me the answers I want, only Darian can tell me if what I felt was true.
“I don’t know! But by looking at your body and how fast you are healing I would say you got a strong bond with him even without your wolf and his mark,” she says and that’s it, I’m not staying in here

“Where are my clothes?” I ask Liz when she walks up beside me and hooks her arm with mine.
“I’ve got some in my car, just wait here and I will go and get them for you!” she says when we come over to the bed and I take a seat on it.
I see her walk out of the room and I wait on the bed for a long moment until the door is opened, and she comes walking inside with a black bag.
She hurries over to the bed and places it down before she opens it and starts to pull clothes out of it. She hands me a pair of jeans before she pulls out a shirt and a pair of white sneakers. Taking them from her I will have to go without a bra for now.
Placing the clothes on the bed I start by taking on the jeans and it goes slow when I have to bend forward and my ribs hurts so bad I almost
faint.
“Wait! Let me help you!” she says and squats to the floor when she drags the jeans over my feet. She is just about to help me get them up over my legs when I hear a dark voice from the door.
“Where do you think you’re going?” he booms out and I freeze in my place.
