Heavy steps walk further inside the room and I turn my head slowly to the side when I see his father walk inside the room with an angry expression on his face.
“I have healed enough to leave this place!” I say and try to sound convincing when he stops a bit away from us. Liz stops with trying to get the jeans up for now.
“Let me get the doctor inside to confirm it!‘ he says with his dominant voice and I see his eyes glance over before I get a chance to speak.
“There is no need, I’m good to go” I try to say, but he doesn’t answer I don’t get the chance to speak up again when the door is opened and the doctor comes walking inside the room. When he sees me sitting on the bed and ready to change my clothes he looks at me with a serious gaze
“I haven’t said you could leave!” he says and walks over to the bed with determined steps. Liz takes off my jeans I have over one foot and places them on the side of the bed.
“I’m feeling good to go! Someone else might need this place better than me!” I say and try to be convincing. I know this city is full of humans and this hospital treats everyone, not just werewolves.

“You will not leave until you are cleared!” he says and points for me to lie back on the bed. Looking at Liz, I sigh before I lay back down and wait for him to start examining me.
The doctor stops beside the bed and starts to examine my injuries, I have to hold back the best I can when he examines my ribs. It’s still the worse place of all on my body.
“You aren’t healed up yet, but this is a big improvement! The bond has to be strong” he says and looks at my leg.
“Then I can leave!” I say when he put pressure on my leg, but doesn’t say anything in response.
“I will take it easy and make sure to rest” I try to persuade him again when he stops and looks at my face instead.
“I can let you leave today if you stay in Darian’s home and come here every day so I can examine you!” he says and I give him a nod, I don’t want to be too eager and raise suspicions. Sitting up on the bed again I place my feet over the edge.
“Where is Darian now? I want to have a chat with him” the doctor savs and turns to look at his father when I see his expression change quickly before it goes back to normal again.
“I will make sure she stays there and comes back here to be examined every day!” his father says without answering the real question where Darian is. I see the doctor give him a nod like he understands without his father saying more.

“It’s important you rest and not exhaust yourself! Eat properly and if anything changes, you come right back here!” he says with a stern tone in his voice.
“Yes, I will” I answer him when he turns around and head out the door. Leaving us alone in the room when I turn my head to look at his father. He stands there with his eyes locked on me, without saying a

I don’t avert my eyes when I see his eyes glance over and I know he is talking to someone. Liz takes the jeans and squats back down on the floor when she helps me get them over my feet.
Standing up on the floor. I pull the jeans up and button them when Liz stands back up and grabs the shirt from the bed.
“The guards will be here shortly and escort you to his flat! I will double the guards and have some maids prepare everything for you. I will be over with Noah whenever you want, but you will stay inside. the flat all the time. I’m outside until you are done” he tells me with dominance in his voice. I would more call it that he gave me orders instead.
“It’s all good!” I say and look at my shirt while I take it from Liz’s hand
I hear feet move and see in the corner of my eyes how his father walks out of the room without another word. Pulling the shirt I have on me over my head before I take the other one and put it on fast.
“I think he suspects something!” Liz says and by his tone, I know he probably is.
“Yes, he does. We will have to figure out a way to sneak out of the flat without being followed” I say and look at her.

“I didn’t bring any shoes can you go without?” she says and I look at my feet. Have no problem walking without to the car and once I get to the flat I need to take a shower anyway.
“Yes, no worries. Let’s go!” I say and she hooks her arm in mine while we slowly start to limp toward the door.
She stops right before we reach it and holds her hand on the handle.
“let’s make sure we talk about this when we are certain no one is around and can hear us,” she says in a low whisper. Giving her a nod I hear some movement outside the door before someone pushes the handle down.
“Ready to go!” the guard from before says when he pushes the door wide open.
“Yes, but I will walk myself,” I say when he is about to take a step toward us. He stops and waves to someone in the hallway and when we come outside ten guards are standing outside the room with his father.
Looking over at him where he stands we start to head down the hallway when he walks up beside us. The other guards walk ahead or behind us and all of this seems a bit too much.
“Is all the guards necessary?” I say when we come out into a big hallway and more guards are standing and waiting by the entrance.

“Yes.” he just states when I see the guards open the door and we walk outside. Several cars are parked and a door is open to one of them when he points with his hand we should walk over there.
We walk over and stop by the door when Liz let go of my arm and I take support by holding my hand on the car. Turning my head to look at his father who stands a few steps away with his arms crossed over
his chest.
“Where is he?” I ask him when he turns to look at me.
“Pack business,” he states and I know he is hiding where he is from me. There is no point in trying to argue with him about it, I know he won’t tell me the truth anyway!
Hearing some loud roars and everyone taking a stand around the car quickly in defense I look around to see where the roars came from. It takes a short moment.before several roars are heard and I see his father’s eyes glance over before his eyes become pitch black.
“Get her in the car and drive her back to his home! Make sure she stays protected and inside!” he orders out loud before he shifts right into the street and several other guards follow after him. I see them run down the street before they all disappear behind a house.
Everything goes so fast when I get pushed inside the car and fall to the side of the seat. Liz comes inside the car as well and I cry out in pain from hitting my ribs when I hear the others get inside the car and start
it up.
