I don’t need to turn my head to look who it is, I already feel the tingles from where his skin is touching mine.
I didn’t think I would feel this way but I’m actually glad he is here.
Placing my head on his shoulder I try to hold back my sob, they have broken everything. Nothing is left of the life I built for me and my son, even the safe place I felt it was, is gone.
“It’s alright, I’m here,” he says and that’s the worst he could say because I break down in a sob in his arms. He takes a seat at my chair out on the porch and I try to pull myself together but I’m a complete mess and it doesn’t make it easier when he is this gentle with me.
I’m used to being strong and holding it together because it never helps. me get anywhere if I feel sorry for myself. But here he comes with his gentle ways and tears down every wall I got like they are made of
paper.
If he had been hard instead I wouldn’t be this mess I am in his arms right now.
“Talk to me,” he says and I try to calm down to be able and speak to him.

“They broke it! They broke it all. Everything I have been fighting for is gone” I say and try to hold back a sob when he places his hand under my chin and tilt my head up to look at him.
“I will help you fix this place up again, you won’t have to do it alone,” he says when I lift my gazes and look right into his.
It doesn’t make it easier and my tears keep running down my cheeks, I don’t even care to wipe them away.
“I can’t let you.” I say to him in a low voice when he wipes away some tears from my cheeks.
“Why?” he questions in his dominant voice, when I take a moment and try to find my words. He doesn’t let go of his grip on my chin and I sigh before I continue.
“I brought every single thing with my own money and have built up this home alone. I was proud of what I had accomplished” I tell him when he looks intensely at me.
“You should be proud of it all, and raising our son alone is the biggest of them. But I’m going to help you,” he says and I shake my head no at him. This isn’t his problem!
“If it’s about the money you can buy new furniture when you feel like it and I can remove the ones I have bought, I don’t care as long you and our son get whatever you need. That’s the end of this discussion” he says in his dominant voice and I sigh, I know he won’t change his mind about it. He starts sniffing in the air and I don’t get what he is doing.

“You are bleeding! Where?” he says and drops his hold on my cheek and starts to examine me, opening my hands I remember one stung when I was leaning at the counter. Looking at it I’m still holding Noah’s cup but it’s painted red on both pieces and I got a cut in my hand.
I see some pieces of broken glass sticking out and blood is coming out of the wound.
Darian sees it and takes my hands when he is about to take the broken cup away from me.
“No, be careful. Noah gave me that one, he made it himself for my first mothers day ” I say when he stops, and carefully takes them away from my hands, and places them beside him on the table.
“You have broken glass in your hands,” he says and looks closer at my hand when he starts to pull one out and blood starts to run out of the wound.
“Do you have any bandages here?” he asks and pull another piece out of my hand, if I still had my wolf I would heal up right away but now blood runs down my arm instead.
“Somewhere in the mess inside,” I say when I see him look at me for a short moment before his eyes glance over and he is mind linking someone. Just realize he is here and not Noah I try to get out of his lap but he holds a tighter grip around me.

“He is fine, he is with his Grandparents and Chase. They wanted to stay with him while I went over here,” he says and I relax back and take a deep breath.
“He wanted to stay when you left?” I ask surprised when Darian looks at me and shakes his head.
“If you had seen all the toys my parents brought with them when they were allowed to come visit him you wouldn’t be surprised. I might even have to get his toys a separate flat under mine with the amount they brought” he says and I smile at the thought. I bet Noah has a great time with them and gets a bit spoiled for once.
“Now, let’s get your hand fixed,” he says when I see two cars come driving down the road and park beside the lawn. I see Jeffrey meet them and help them take out several cleaning supplies when a bunch of women and men come walking over to where we are.
“Why are they here?” I ask him when they stop right on the porch.
“I’ve brought some people to help clean it up.” he states when Jeffrey comes walking over with a first aid kit in his hand and gives it to Darian.
“Jeffrey get me some water,” he orders before he stands up and places me down on the hammock.

Jeffrey comes back with a bottle of water and Darian takes it when he starts to pour water over my hand. I’m mesmerized by how gentle he is when he cleans my hand and fixes it up. Fean’t stop looking at him and taking in every expression on his face.
“Keep looking at me, and I will have a taste of your lips!” he says and I get warm all over my body. My mind is still hesitant to let him close but my body craves his touch and this time my desire takes over.
I don’t avert my eyes, I just can’t. Feeling when he wraps my hand up in bandage I see him slowly raise his head and our eyes meet. He has a smirk on his lips when he places a finger under my jaw.
“Now, your lips are mine,” he says and my heart beats faster in my chest from his words. I’m not pulling away from him this time. I want to feel his lips being pressed against mine.
