Sitting in my office and trying to get some things done while my mind. takes me back to the strange feeling this morning, I know I didn’t imagine my canines. But what happened?
Once I got Darian to leave with Noah and told him I will call once I get off work tonight I went straight for work.
Noah was thrilled to go with him and I’m happy he gets his father in his life as well, they need some time to bond just the two of them.
There isn’t anyone at work today and I get a lot of things done before my office door is opened and Liz comes walking inside. She doesn’t have to tell me I already know by the look of her she has spent some time with Chase.
“Rough night?” I ask her when she takes a seat in the office chair in front of me. She starts to giggle and I can’t help but laugh at her ways, I don’t think I have ever seen her this way when she places her hair to the side and a fresh mark is laying on her shoulder.
To say I’m surprised by how quickly that went is an understatement. I never thought I would see the day she would give in wholeheartedly to a man but it’s clear I was wrong.

“Congratulations didn’t see that one coming,” I say and give her my biggest smile, I’m overly happy for both of them.
“Yes, he came by and picked me up once Darian was with you before he drove me home to his place. I hardly got the time to put down my bag before he pushed me up against the wall and marked me. He said there is no way he would let me walk around without his mark another minute and after that, I could not resist him any longer. It was amazing” she says and giggles while I laugh and shake my head at her.
“I couldn’t be happier for you,” I say and place a paper to the side when she leans forward and looks sternly at me.
“Now. let me tell you something! I know what you did” she says and I lift my gaze from my papers and meet her eyes. It’s clear to me he told her what they have been doing and I don’t mind her knowing about it.
I’m not sure how Heidi will take it if we tell her, some part of me got this feeling she had a plan and was getting her revenge on the man. She might get sad or happy about this news.
“Of course you do,” I say when she looks sternly at me
“Why didn’t you tell me, I would have helped you,” she says and I chuckle at her when I lean back in my seat
“But you already did,” I tell her and wait for her to realize she actually did.

“I know, but I couldn’t risk anyone else finding out before,” I say when my phone rings and I don’t recognize the number. Clicking the cal,1 I turn my attention back to her.
“I thought you trusted me with everything,” she says and I do trust her.
“You know I trust you, it’s nothing about trust. But I had no idea if I would succeed with my plan and I would probably only get more nervous if you knew as well. I had to play my cards right, but knowing what I do after I probably only had to tell him and he would have fixed it” I tell her when she gives me a nod and sits back in her seat.
“Chase told me all about it. When they found out you had dinner with your lawyer, Darian understood you wanted him to meet the man in the bar for some reason and made sure to approach him in the dark.
They all got sick of hearing him brag about what he had done and Darian got furious. Ripped him apart piece by piece and not even when he begged for his life did he hesitate to end it. They took the pieces that were left of him and got rid of them to make sure no trace of him will ever be found. But that’s not all” she says, and now she got me on edge.
“What else?” I ask when my phone is ringing again. Seeing it’s the same as before, I decline it again.

“You are probably right,” I say and reach for my phone to look at the text. Opening the phone up I open the text and see it’s from the unknown caller. It just says “Call this number, it’s urgent”
“That’s weird!” I say out loud while I try to search for the number on the internet, want to know who it is before I call it back.

“What is?” I hear Liz ask while I’m occupied with searching for the number.
“It’s from the unknown caller and it says I should call back right away, it’s urgent,” I tell her and nothing shows on the internet when I search for it.
“Do you want me to call Chase and have them look into it before you call back?” she asks me but if I wanted I could call Darian myself but I

“No, it’s fine, probably nothing I need to involve anyone else in,” I say and press the button and call the number back. Listening when the first ring gets through before the next one. The person on the other end answers on the third ring and I hear a woman’s voice.
“It’s good you called me back, I have been looking for your number for the last hour.” the person says without presenting herself with her name first. By the tone of her voice, I can hear she sounds stressed and it has me on edge.
“Anything wrong?” I ask her when she takes a second before she

“You better get back to your home right now!” she says and I know it’s serious by the tone and I lift my eyes to look right into Liz’s
