Walking up early in the morning the next day, still with Darian’s arms around me and his body pressed against mine from the back.
I don’t know how many times I have been awake this night because I can’t move or it’s too hot. but every time I tried to get away from him. he pulled me tighter against him. I don’t even know if I can get out of the bed with how my legs have gone numb by sleeping in the same position the whole night.
Trying to get his arm off me, I lift it and this time he doesn’t pull me in. I roll out under it and try to soundlessly get out of the bed.
Reaching the floor, I have to hold on to the edge when I try to stand
- up.
Looking back at him, I push off the bed. I can’t believe how he can sleep in the same position a whole night and don’t want to roll on his back or anything else.
I know Noah will wake up soon, and I want to talk to him before Darian wakes up. Walking on my tippy toes over to the chair I have my robe on I grab it and slowly walk out of the room. I will have to use another bathroom to not wake him up right now.

Once I’m outside, I head for the bathroom on the first floor and do my business and wash up before I walk out to the kitchen to make some coffee.
Remembering I didn’t lock the door last night, I felt completely safe with Darian by my side, nothing I have felt for years.
I don’t know when I felt this safe except that night I spend with him. I was too small to remember the feeling when my father was alive or I have pushed all those feelings aside.
I haven’t thought about my old life in ages and it always saddens me when I think back to it, missing my brother and wishing things would be different.
Pouring the water in the machine and pressing the button. I’m lost in deep thoughts when I feel small hands on my back. Swirling around, I see Noah in his pajamas smiling up at me. I know what I need to do and it’s better to do it right away.
“Noah, I have to tell you something.” I say and squat down on the floor to tell him the truth, it’s time he knows who his father is.
Taking my time to explain everything to him, he gets happy Darian is his father and wants to meet him straight away. Pouring me a mug with coffee, I take his little hand and start to walk with him up to my
room.
He has no idea Darian is still here, and I’m glad to get him to his father right away.

Pushing the door open, he sees him laying on his back on the bed. Noah lets go of my hand and quickly runs over to the bed and climbs up where he stops by his face and looks at him.
His small finger starts to poke him in the face when he turns to look at
- me.
“Mommy, when will Daddy wake up?” he says and pokes him on his cheek when I see Darian move his head a bit and open his eyes, only to turn his head and look at Noah.
“You are awake, Daddy,” Noah says and I see Darian flinch a bit when his eyes get wider and he shoots right up and holds Noah at an arm’s length.
“What did you just say?” Darian says, and the sight in front of me has my heart melting.
“You are awake Daddy,” Noah says again when Darian blinks a few times before he wraps his arms around Noah in a big hug.
He turns his head towards me and I see he is surprised and happy when I give him a nod and turn around and walk out of the room. To give them some privacy to talk.
Going down to the Landry room, I get some clean clothes I haven’t had time to hang in my closet yet and put them on. Once I’m done I head back into the kitchen to get Noah some breakfast while I hear them talking and Noah’s happy voice.

Standing inside the kitchen and making the last toast I place it on a plate when both of them come walking down to the kitchen. Noah is asking Darian a ton of questions when they come inside.

“Take your seat, breakfast is ready,” I say to Noah when he walks over to the table and takes his seat.
“Daddy, sit here,” he says and Darian stops to look at him like he’s trying to understand this is real.
“I’m just going to get me a cup of coffee,” he says and I turn around to take down a cup when I feel him stop behind me. He places his hands. on the counter when he leans his head closer to mine.
“Thank you,” he says and places a kiss on my cheek.
“Daddy, did you kiss mommy?” I hear Noah say when Darian pushes off the counter and takes the cup I’m holding in my hand.
“Yes. I did” Darian states and I instantly start to sweat on my hands. When did it escalate this quickly? In just a day?
“Just wanted to thank her for the coffee,” Darian says, and I breathe out and turn to look at him when he fills his cup and places the pot down before he turns to look at me.
“And I will do it again,” he whispers to my ear swiftly when he walks by.

I have to swallow several times before I muster up enough courage to take my cup and walk over to the table. Feeling Darian’s eyes on me the whole time when I take a seat at the table, I feel my cheeks heat up and when I can’t stand his eyes on me any longer, I lift my eyes from Noah and look at Darian instead.
He sits there with a smirk on his lips and his eyes don’t leave mine. It doesn’t make it any bit easier and I have to avert my eyes when he won’t stop. I feel the bond stir in my body and I can’t wait to put a bit of a distance between us, hoping it will settle down after.
“Noah, you better hurry and eat up. We need to head over to work,” I say and look at him when he is eating his toast.
“I want to go with Dad,” he says and takes another bite of his toast
“You can’t today but another time,” I say when Darian speaks up
“He can go with me and I can get him back in the evening or you can come to us,” Darian says and I snap my head in his direction when I see a big smirk on his lips while he lifts an eyebrow at me.
It’s clear he did this on purpose, this way he can come under my roof again or I will have to go to them and get Noah. It’s clear he is going to take advantage of this situation and I didn’t expect anything else.
“Mommy, can I go with Dad?” Noah says and I don’t take my eyes off Darian while he looks intensely at me.

“You have to take on a jacket before you leave,” I say and hear Noah quickly get down from his chair and run out of the room.
A chair is being pulled back when Darian comes to stand behind me and place his arms around my waist. He pulls me back against his body and I feel how my body answers to his touch.
“Mabie it’s better you come along with us so I don’t make any more mistakes.” he says to my neck while he takes a large inhale.
“Your mistakes are small against everyone I have made during all these years, you can handle it yourself and I have work to do.” I say and try to get out of his grip on me. I wanted Noah to know about his father but I didn’t expect it to be this way with Darian.
He doesn’t let go and I sigh when there is no point in struggling against his strength. He traces his nose down my neck and over my shoulder when I feel his canines scratch my skin and a shock of electricity course through my body. I breathe heavily from the feeling he stirs up in my body.
I almost get dizzy from the feeling when my gum starts to hurt really bad. I feel how my canines grow longer and I drag my tongue over them to feel if it’s true. How can it be?
