“Now that’s done. He will fix it for me!” I say and place the sample back in the box. I’m happy to not have to deal with the renovations right now, it took me way too long to decide it the first time, and it wouldn’t go faster if I did it now.
“I know it will be perfect, and I talked to him about work,” she says when I take a seat on the couch.
“What did he say about it?” I ask her when she starts to look at the box with the laptop.
“He will handle everything for now, and he hopes we will be back soon,” she says when I see her eyes glance over. It takes a moment before she gets up from her seat and starts to walk toward the door.

“Chase wants me to come down, we are heading for his flat tonight,” she says, and I am about to walk out of the door.
“Have a nice time!” I say and sit back on the couch when I hear her leave down the hallway.
I don’t know how long I have been sitting in his office when I decide to start going through the other boxes and see if I can find furniture I like.
I know hours have gone by when I see that it’s starting to get dark outside. I have been looking through every box there is, and I haven’t made a decision on anything I like.
Looking around on the floor, I have catalogs lying all over the floor, and still the laptop is sitting in the box untouched.
I hate new electronic things, and I won’t open them today.
I get up from the floor and start to head for the door instead, but I grab a glass of water from the kitchen. Emptying the glass in one go, I hear heavy steps behind me before his arms wrap around my body.

“How was your day?” he asks me, placing a kiss on my cheek.

“I wish I could say funny,” I answer in a short tone, don’t know when I was this bored before. When I hear him chuckle beside me.
“And yet you haven’t started the laptop I bought for you,” he says when I sigh and lean back against him.
“No, I hate new electronic devices.” He turns us around and starts to walk with me over to his office without saying a word.
Walking inside his office, he takes me with him over to my desk when he lifts the laptop out of the box and takes a seat by the desk with me in his lap.
“Here, just turn it on and you will see!” he says, and press the start button when I see the screen light up and what looks like several programs he already has fixed in the laptop.
“What’s this?” I say to him when he starts nuzzling on my neck.

“That’s a new program for you. It’s easy to log in here and run your business from this program. I have installed a new program for
appointments, and you get a good sight over it all,” he says, and I look at the program he shows me.
It looks easy, but I can’t run a thing without my papers, and I need to get everything in here from my old computer.
“I need my computer,” I say when he pulls me back against him in the chair.
“Well, if you hadn’t been so stubborn and not opened the laptop, you would have seen I have some of my people over at your work and get it all in the program. Look here,” he clicks around in the program when I see numbers already in place.
“You mean everything is already here?” I say and look at the screen.
“No, not everything. Give them a few days and it will all be sorted,” he says, and I have a hard time believing it while I look at the screen.

“Why would you go through all this trouble?” My work can wait a bit. You didn’t have to do all this.” I say when he closes the laptop and I feel him trace his nose down my neck.
“You have a company to run, and you have to be able to control it from here,” he says, nuzzling my shoulder when I feel a wave of tingles course through my body.
“I don’t know what to say.” is the only thing I manage to think of when he starts to nibble on my shoulder, and I instantly start to get hot in my body.
