Chapter 107
Aliza pov
Opening the door I walk inside and see one of our girls standing behind the reception desk with a customer. I instantly miss this place and my old life when I walk further inside, it’s my home and my safe
zone.
Right now I feel like I’m out in deep water and have lost a bit of my footing, who I used to be.
Giving her a nod when she quickly lifts her head she returns my gesture with a big smile. I let them talk alone and walk right over to my office and open the door.
Closing it after me I look over to my office desk and see a big pile of bills and other papers I have to go over and I wish I could stay in here for several days and just work. It would feel good to put all the pain and sorrow aside for a couple of days.
Taking a seat in my chair I start to open the envelope first to see what’s most urgent to have done the short time I got to do this.
A lot of papers can wait a few days and some need to be done right away. I’m fully occupied when suddenly the door flies open and I just get to lift my head to see Heidi come running inside and over to me when she throws herself around my neck.

“Fuck Aliza! You can’t scare us that way!” she scolds me and just getting a hug from her and the fact I miss her has me breaking down in
tears.
Holding my arms tighter around her I feel her do the same.
“Aliza, what’s wrong?” she says to my hair, and I just shake my head in response while trying to collect myself again.
“Isn’t he good to you? Do I need to get there and whip his sorry as!” she threatens and I start to laugh while I cry and it’s a complete mess when I let go of her and she holds me at an arm’s length.
“I can go right now! Fuck all the customers right now! I’m getting him” she says and looks sternly at me when I wipe my tears from my face and chuckle at her.
“I know you would. But trust me, it’s nothing!” I say to her when she gets a frown on her face.
“The way you look I know it’s not nothing, and you are lying to me right now. But alright! If you don’t want to talk about it you know where I am when you want” she says and I give her a smile.
“I know you are and I’m grateful for it!” I say when she let go of me and leans against my desk instead. I know she wouldn’t hesitate to go right over to talk to him if I wanted but right now I just need my friends.
“So tell me, have it calmed down since he let you go here?” she asks me and I avert my eyes for a moment to look at the watch before I

“He doesn’t know I’m here!” I say and turn my head back to look at her.
She starts to laugh out loud and shakes her head.
“So you already try to escape your mate! I guess he deserves it for something he has done!” she says and keeps laughing when I hear another pair of footsteps before Frederic shows up in the doorway.
“Oh, momma! You are back!” he says and walks right over to where we are when he leans down to give me a hug.
“Just a short visit today, I’m hopefully back soon,” I say when he walks over and takes a seat in one of the chairs in front of me.
“Well we are handling everything else until you are back, the economy is the oy thing we can’t do!” Heidi says and I know it as well.
“I’m trying to have some of it done right now, then I can hopefully be back here in a day or two for the rest!” I say when I hear someone calling for Heidi.
“I have to go, but call me if there is anything!” she says and squeezes my hand before she drops it and rushes out of my office.
“How is it with the rest?” I ask Frederic when she has closed the door after her.

“We are all good, just misses you here!” he says when I sit back in my seat and there is a knock on the door.
“Oh, I bet it’s my last customer for the day. I’ll come by before I go” he says and throws me a kiss in the air before he quickly walks out of the room as usual. It’s always the same with him, but hopefully, I can talk again with him before he goes if the appointment doesn’t take too long.
Gathering all my papers I place them in different piles with how urgent they are and try to work my way down the pile.
When I have been sitting in my office for almost one hour I have just managed to get a good look at what needs to be done but I know I don’t have enough time today to get it done.
I need my computer for it and the one I’ve got here I can’t take with me.
Sitting back in my seat I try to figure out how I can do this the best way when I suddenly come to think about my old laptop I have in my house. I can access my accounts from that one and get some work done but I need to get it.
Sitting up in my seat I look at the watch and if I only could get a hold of a car then I can get there and collect it. I know it was untouched when I placed it in my office back home after they have broken into it. Somehow they had left it without breaking it.
Hearing the door open I see Frederic come back inside with his jacket and bag on and it’s a sign he is going home. He has a car and he couldn’t have walked inside here at a better time.

“Frederic, I need you to drive me somewhere right now! Can you?” I say when he stops and gives me the biggest smile.
“Of course beauty! Where shall I drive the pumpkin wagon for my princess!” he says and I just smile at his silliness.
“I need to go home!” I say and grab the pile for the most urgent papers and put them in a folder before I rise from my seat and start to walk over to where he stands.
“Don’t you need to tell Liz or your hunk where you are going?” he says
and hooks his arm in mine.
“I will call Liz from my home phone when I get there and she can come to pick me up once she is done with her packing. Just drive me there in the pumpkin wagon!” I say when he starts to laugh and it feels good to be a bit silly and lighten up my mood for a short moment.
“At your service, princess!” he says and we start to head for the
entrance.
