Alexander’s POV
“That’s how you throw a punch?” I yelled frustratedly. I was beginning to wonder how this particular guy even got picked. He would not stand a chance in an attack. His form was weak, his punches were weak and the only thing he had going for him was speed. That had to be why he was picked and everyday I kept trying to tell myself that everyone starts from somewhere just so I don’t lose my mind.
“Sorry, Alpha.” He said, a forlorn look on his face as he throws another punch at the bag. His first problem was the way his hand was fisted. I thought he forgot the last time and so I didn’t make an effort to correct it and so when he threw the punch again with a lot of force, I winced realizing what was going to happen. The next second, a loud howl filled the air and I sighed as they led him away for first aid. I made a mental note to correct the way he forms a fist and also to put him in the tracking team rather than train him to become a fighter.
I rarely washed up at the gym but I decided to today just in case my mom decided to still be bent on restricting me from going in. I know she said to let Isabella rest but this honestly feels like torture at this point. Who says she’ll not rest if I’m in the room? I just wanted to be be by her side and be sure that she was okay but my mom decided to be stubborn as hell. I’m sure this is punishment for the tantrum I threw when Isabella passed out. the dining room. I expected Isabella to be down for breakfast by now but although the table was set, she wasn’t there. I frowned, was she still ‘resting‘? Was the situation worse than what my mom let on?
I stood there for a while debating whether to just wait for her to show up but I wonder why I even tried because the next second I was running through the halls and rushing up the stairs. The last time I saw my mate, she had passed out in my arms and it has been hours since. I’m done giving her space to ‘rest‘, why couldn’t I stay beside her as she did. I was really trying hard not to get worried but that was extremely difficult in this situation. Could I have bitten too hard by any chance? I cursed myself and my wolf who was mostly in control at that time. I went straight to the room she had been moved to last night but when I knocked, it was a maid that came out instead. I narrowed my eyes at her.
“Where is my mate?”
“Sh–she’s inside, Alpha.”
Then why do you look like you’re trying to block the door with your body, I wondered. “Step aside.”
“I’m afraid you can’t go in yet, Alpha.”
“And why is that?” I demanded, quickly losing my grip on my patience.
“The Luna is still getting dressed and–”
With one last hard look at her that made her immediately cower, I grabbed the door handle and pushed open it open. It took a little bit of looking around to locate Isabella as I wasn’t used to this new room yet but when I did, I found out that she

was indeed getting dressed, flanked by maids, something that she no doubt found uncomfortable. She seemed to notice my entrance and turned to the entrance where I still stood and when our eyes met, my heartbeat instantly picked up. What is this sorcery? I wondered as I stared at her, unable to break eye contact. Did it always feel this way when I looked at her? I wondered as my lips parted on their own accord.
And then Isabella sighed. She sighed like she was relieved to see me. With one word, dismissed the maids and when they were gone my lips turned up in a smile as I closed the remaining distance between Isabella and I. Her zip was not fully done so I went behind her to help, my fingers slightly brushing her skin as I drove up the zipper. I smirked as I saw her body react instantly as she shivered and a few goosebumps peppered her skin. It was comforting to see that I affected her almost as much as she did, me.
Isabella turned around, “Thanks for saving me.” She sighed.
I raised my brow, amused, “From the maids?”
“Why do you sound like that’s unreasonable? Yes, from the maids.”
I chuckled, “Well, they did try to keep me away from you so guess you actually needed saving.” I said, indulging her.
She pouted, “This is unfair, you know? They act like I’m a child or something, it’s not like I can’t do things for myself. And they’re so many rules, I’m not even allowed to eat!”
My eyes bulged out a that last part before they narrowed, “Have you not eaten anything?” I raised my arm so I could check the time on my watch.

She sighed, “It’s not like I haven’t eaten.” She said before sighing again. “It’s just, they gave me such little food. Can you believe they said that I shouldn’t eat much as the Luna.” Raising my brow, I burst out laughing and she slapped my arm; “What’s so funny, huh?”
“It’s not because it’s funny. I just can’t believe that they’ll not allow you eat as much as you want to. As far as rules and duties go, that’s just too much.”
“I know, right?” She pouted, looking very relieved that I was on her side. “Alexander, I didn’t know we would have to move.” She suddenly said.
I sighed, pulling her to the bed, “I had hoped we wouldn’t.”
“You know, I woke up in the middle of the night and then this morning and I didn’t realize I was in a different room until I got out of bed.” She said and I chuckled.
“You were probably still dizzy.” I said with a frown as I looked down at my hands in my lap before looking back at her, “I’m sorry, maybe if I knew the consequences of being marked by me…”
She chuckled and I looked up, “Consequences? Being marked by you? Who was else would I be marked by? And consequences sounds like being marked is a terrible thing.”
“But Isabella, if I knew that there was chance of you fainting, we would both have been better prepared for it. You were already so stressed, I would have postponed it. Maybe you wouldn’t have fainted if you were better rested.”
“Alexander.” She stressed, reaching for my hand and grabbing it, “Stop stressing over this. I’m okay, am I not?” She said,

pulling my hand as though she was willing me to see her now and nothing else.
I smiled and she immediately mirrored it, “You definitely are. I‘ m glad your alright, I was really worried.”
“Your mom told me.” She giggled and before I could dwell on that, she jumped into my lap and wrapped her arm around my neck. I was shocked at the sudden action. She buried her face in my neck and I wrapped my arms around her waist, hugging her back. “I missed you.” She said.
My breath seized for a moment. “Is it just me or has the bond gotten stronger.”
She giggled and the more she did, the more I realized that it was now my favorite thing to hear, “It’s not just you. It definitely has.”
Reaching back, I grabbed her chin and pulled her to me before laying a soft kiss on her lips. She sighed and her soft

palm cupped my cheek kissing me deeper. She was
taking control and for the first time, I let her. I took things fast most of the time and she usually went with it. But now as I let her do her own thing she went slowly and carefully and I could not believe how quickly it turned me on.
And then my stomach growled.
She pulled apart from me and I closed my eyes, cursing my hunger for awful timing. She looked amused at my embarrassment. “Have you not had breakfast?”

She laughed and hugged me again. “Let’s go downstairs, shall

“Why don’t we just stay like this for a moment.” I said and she got comfortable in my lap.
“You know what I was wondering?” She said getting
comfortable in my lap. “Why aren’t they bossing around like they’re bossing me? Why don’t you have guards or a valet wanting to dress you up and tell you what to do and where to go and all that.”
I laughed, “I was born Alpha, Isabella. I’ve known what to do my entire life. You haven’t. You’re the one that has to learn new stuff and do things a bit differently. I just hope its not too daunting.”
She shrugged, “I’m a strong girl.”
I smiled at her and lay a kiss in her forehead before pulling her up. “How does a morning date sound?” I asked her with a wink and she grinned, nodding enthusiastically.
