Isabella’s POV
I tapped Chloe’s arm continuously with my shaky hand not even noticing that she had responded until she grabbed my hand and pulled me aside, “Is everything alright? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.” She remarked worriedly and I shook my head as she placed a palm on my forehead. I’d honestly rather see a ghost than see Antonio again, I thought.
“Chloe, have you seen or felt anything unusual today?” I asked her and she shook her head.
“Come on Bella.” She said suddenly. “Is this a prank? You’re giving me goosebumps.”
“Is something wrong?” Ryder asked, coming to stand beside Chloe as he looked at me. Exhaling deeply, I shook my head as
I waved it off.
“Don’t mind me.” I said, “I must just be really tired.”
Chloe still looked quiet worried but before she could make me explain further, an arm slid around my waist and Alexander’s scent immediately filled the air around me.l relaxed
immediately, sighing as I leaned into him and let my head rest on his side.
“I missed you.” I whispered and he pressed a kiss on my forehead.
“I must have caused you to worry too much. I’m sorry.” He said, tightening his grip around me.

I looked up at him, “Is everything all right?” I asked him and he nodded.
“Everything is fine. I just had to take care of something.” He assured me with a smile and I decided to believe him. He wouldn’t lie to me, right? Even if it’s to prevent me from worrying? He rubbed his hand along my arm, drawing my attention away from the bad thoughts, “Come on, no spacing out.” He said and I was forced to smile.
“Your mom wanted you to see her when you got back.”
“I link her and tell her I’m alright. I doubt it’s anything more than that.” He looked down at me, “I have been deprived of your company for too long.” He said and I saw his eyes glaze over as he seemed to do just that. He nodded as he seemed to tell me that all was sorted before holding my gaze once again.
I blushed at the way he was looking at me but as I tried to look away, he gently caught my chin in his grip. “Have I told you how beautiful you look today. And that dress, I’ve not seen anything like it.” He said and I giggled.
“Me neither.” We laughed together as I went to lean into him again. “What about you, did you get a new haircut?”
His eyes widened as he looked at me, “You noticed!”
I laughed even louder and had to stifle the rest of it with my palm. I felt like we were on a cheesy high school date. Why were we acting like teenagers?
“Have you eaten?” He asked me and I nodded.
“I had a cinnamon roll, a cupcake and champagne.” I said and
he chuckled.When I asked him back he just shook his head.

“I’m not hungry yet. Isabella…” He said and I looked up at him,
“Yes, mate?” I said and smiled when I saw his cheeks flush at what I called him.
I feel like he makes me blush a whole lot and it’s a bit refreshing to see that I could make him blush as well. I remembered what his mom said about his dad. I guess I’ve seen Alexander’s soft sides as well. I’ve seen him cry because of me after all, I thought with a smile.
“Should we leave?” He lowered his lips so that they were almost grazing my ear, “We were about to before we got interrupted.”
I shivered slightly but masked it with a smile, “Of course. This place is getting kinda overwhelming.” I confessed and he nodded, leading me through the same door we went out through before.
I wrapped my arm around his as we walked side by side in comfortable silence until the stairs that led up to the Alpha Wing came into view. Alexander’s arm suddenly slid lower as he picked me up bridal style causing me to squeal in surprise before giggling excitedly. Talk about cheesy high school date.
“What are you doing?” I laughed but instead of answering he began to run up the stairs, holding me tightly in his arms. I squealed like a child in an amusement park, blushing when the guards came to view and I realized that people had seen us like this. I’ve never really been one for PDA. That thought didn’t last though, because immediately they opened the door for us and we got in, Alexander carried me to our room and gently laid me down on the bed.
His eyes were their normal colour as he looked into mine but
his gaze was so intense that my laughter seized completely. He brushed a lock of hair that had fallen into my face, his
finger lingering as he went ahead to stroke just above my ear with his thumb.
I could hear my heartbeat very clearly in the quietness of the
room.
“I want to kiss you.” He whispered and my breath hitched.
Pushing myself up, I wrapped my hand around the back of his neck and pulled him in, pressing my lips to his softly. “When did you ever have to ask?” I whispered back and he grinned briefly before locking his lips with mine, once again and kissing me deeply.
I moaned in his mouth and he groaned. His hand caressed my face as he kissed me and I gasped when I could soon feel his hardened dick pressing against my thigh. My free hand reached down, acting on its own accord and was soon grazing against him through his trousers. Alexander shuddered, his lips leaving mine briefly as his forehead came to rest upon mine.
“Isabella.” He whispered and when my fingers took hold of his zipper, my hand was suddenly seized and pushed above my head. air. I peeked up and my eyes widened when I saw that his canines were indeed completely extended and his eyes were completely black. The room seemed to still around us for a second before Alexander’s loud heart beat as well as mine filled my ears. I whimpered loudly but my whimpers soon turned to moans as pleasure overshadowed the pain. I moaned as his teeth slowly pulled out from my neck and when he licked the wound clean, my eyes rolled back and my legs began to shake. I sighed out his name over and over as I came while he just pressed kiss. after kiss on the spot. It was the most intense orgasm I had ever had and we did not even have sex.
I felt tears fill my eyes, suddenly filled with so much emotion but immediately they dropped, Alexander kissed them away. I smiled and cupped his face in my small palm and was just about to reach up to kiss him when I felt my head spin. Wincing, my hand dropped from his face as I shut my my eyes tight and waited for the feeling to pass. It didn’t.
“Isabella.” Alexander shook me gently and I groaned.
“My head is spinning.” I whispered and when Alexander spoke again, his voice sounded panicked. It also sounded really far

“Isabella!” He shook me with more urgency this time. “Hold on, okay? Stay with me, please.” He seemed to beg but his voice

sounded even farther. It was weird because his hands still held me. Why did he sound so far away when his hands were still holding me?
I could feel my mind closing off on me and I realized I was falling unconscious. It had happened to me so often in the past months that I must be getting used to what it felt like… enough for me to recognize it at least. But was this normal after getting marked? Just before I lost touch of everything, I heard Alexander yell for the pack doctor to be called. He sounded so scared and worried. I wanted to hug him tight and assure him that I was alright but he was really far…too far.
