Seventy-Three
Isabella’s POV
Alexander seemed to freeze at my words, his eyes wide as he took in what I said causing me to narrow my eyes in confusion. Why was it such a big deal to go and see his parents? I wondered, remembering how his parents had said that they had been trying to get him to bring me for a visit but he kept declining.
“They just called me to have an early dinner with them. That’s alright, right?” I said, peering up at him with my head slightly cocked to the side.
Alexander simply nodded before taking my hand in his and leading us to his car. The car ride was short and silent and I could see that he was still quite moody.
I kept sneaking glances at him, not bothering to think if I was being subtle or not as I wondered whether it was because I went to work after agreeing that I wouldn’t or if it was because I went to meet his parents.
If it was the second one then he shouldn’t be mad at me,
right? It’s not like I invited myself over. Or maybe it was because I didn’t answer his calls and had worried him so much and he probably still wasn’t over it. I would understand that. Although, it was not intentional and although I had apologized I couldn’t expect him to start laughing immediately. Could I?
I sighed, I was unsure of all my thoughts! Tapping on the

screen of my phone to make the screen light up, I unlocked it and nearly dropped it at the sight of the 78 missed calls Alexander left on my phone.
There were a few from Chloe and my parents as well and I assumed he called them when he couldn’t find me. Way to make me feel guilty, I thought, glancing at him before going to text my parents and best friend to let them know that I was okay.
We got back to his place and I took off my coat and hung it in the closet before asking him how his meeting went. I was desperate to make even the slightest conversation and kill the unsettling silence but he just shrugged.
“It was fine.” He said simply and that was it.
It took everything for me not to scream, cry or groan in frustration as I realized that he wasn’t going to say anything else. It even felt like a dismissal when he started taking off his clothes.
Volunteering to cook something for dinner, I left the room, forcing myself to close the door gently and not act like a pre- teen in the middle of a tantrum by slamming it.
I decided to make a chicken salad. I got busy chopping up chicken into small pieces before going ahead to chop the veggies as well. In the middle of cooking, I heard my phone ring on the counter and picked it up when I saw that it was Chloe.
After scolding me for making my mate worry and in turn making her worry, excitement filled her voice as she told me about an event that was happening in a club that was
apparently going to be ‘the bomb‘. I did not blame her for the

picture moved, throwing the towel around his neck as he moved towards me, concern filling his eyes.

It felt like a superpower to even be able to see the concern when my eyes were also taking in his chest, arms, waistline, and oh goddess…oh goddess!
I couldn’t move, I couldn’t think and if my lips were not already opened as I stared at the work of art in front of me, I would’ve forgotten to breathe as well.
Alexander grabbed my hands, pulling them up so he could examine them and I wondered if it didn’t burn with how hot I was feeling.
We were literally an inch apart and he was completely naked. Didn’t he realize that? Was he trying to torture me? He pulled me to the bed and made me sit down asking me if it hurt. It was only then that
I looked down and realized that I did indeed have a huge cut on my palm and it was even dripping blood and had left a trail of blood from the broken dishes to the bed. Did it hurt
though? Maybe, maybe not.
The only thing I felt right at that moment was heat and a throbbing between my legs. Stepping away from me, Alexander walked into the bathroom and I thought I might faint. Even his ass was sexy!
He came back with a first aid box and only after dipping the cotton pad in alcohol did he finally look up at me and my desire was probably really evident in my face because his eyes instantly darkened making me gasp at the intense hunger I saw in them.

I maintained his gaze, unable to take my eyes off him as he discarded the first aid box and the cotton pad fell from his hand.
Alexander placed his hands on the bed on either side of me while his knee slid between my legs dangerously close to the center as he looked down at me. My lips parted to let out a gasp that sounded not too surprisingly like a moan. Yikes! Even I could smell my arousal at this point.
The tension was getting thicker and tired of him to make a move, I wrapped my hand around the back of his neck, pulling him down the short distance before crashing his lips onto
