Isabella’s pov
I stabbed my fork into my pasta a little too hard this time, that both my plate and table rattled furiously, startling everyone, including me at the table.
I glanced up to find five pair of eyes looking at me quizzically. I gave a strained but reassuring smile in response. That seemed to placate them because they went back to their conversation. I glanced over at Alexander and he was still regarding me with a puzzled expression. I glared at him, letting him know I was mad at him and he responded by raising a quizzical brow at me that only fueled my anger. I looked away annoyed by how casual he seemed in Rhea’s presence. He let out a chuckle and my blood boiled just a little higher in my veins. There was nothing funny about this situation.
It was 9am and We Were having breakfast in the breakfast room with Blake, Caleb, Mason and Rhea. Everyone was dressed casually except for the little bitch herself, Rhea. she was dressed a little too raunchy for my liking. I was not one to tell a fellow woman how to dress or what to wear but her grey shorts that barely covered her ass and spaghetti straps that barely held her voluptuous breast in place was less than appropriate for Breakfast. To make matters worse, she was sitting next to Alexander laughing and touching his arms every chance she got. If my eyes could throw out fire, Rhea would have been burnt to bloody crisp, reborn and burnt all over again.
I huffed and stabbed my pasta into my mouth as She continued speaking in her annoying high pitched sultry voice. she was telling a story about how much fun they used to have and how much she missed that and how she’d love to reenact those moment again. In fact she had
been talking all through breakfast. She was easily the center of attention and that wouldn’t have bothered me if she didn’t have Alexander’s attention too. He was even laughing at some of her jokes.
“But I’m a bit better now.” She said. She had been talking about how jetlagged she was and too tired to come out, that if Alexander had showed her around, she’d have ended up falling asleep on him but that they could go around today. Caleb was telling her he had noticed that’s why he avoided taking her on the tour of the house. Mason and Blake sat watching the exchange silently, contributing every now and then.
“Lexi?” she looked over at Alexander, he had gotten quiet at some point. I cringed at the ridiculous nickname. Why did Alexander even let her call him that? The name sounded emasculating. Like she was talking to a puppy even though it was clear she probably worshipped the ground he walked on. I could see it in the way she looked up at him eagerly, always wanting to gauge his reaction or listen to him sspeak.
“you haven’t touched your food…” she said as she looked down at his plate. “Want some of my bacon? I remember how much you loved Bacon.” She started to scrape her Bacon on his plate without giving him a chance to answer her question. She did that a lot. She’d ask a question but forget that she was supposed to wait for an answer and just do whatever she wanted. Everything about her screamed entitlement and self centeredness and I couldn’t stand it.
“Xander doesn’t eat that anymore Riri, he prefers the more healthy choices now like chicken.” I countered, fed up with her stupid antics to get my Alpha’s attention. Alexander was mine.
“it’s Rhea,” She said pointedly.
“Right.” I retorted dryly.

Alexander glanced over at me and gave an amused smile before looking over at his plate and then at Rhea.
“I actually don’t eat as much Bacon as before, I prefer chicken tenders, Rhea but thank you. Thanks baby.” He said to me and started to eat the chicken tenders I gave him.
“I see, I guess somethings do change,” she said as she glared at me. I grinned widely in response.
Meanwhile, Blake, Caleb and Mason seemed to be enjoying
themselves. They were watching the exchange between us, a look of amusement in their faces. I had half the mind to slap them. This was not funny.
“Anyway,” Rhea started, dragging her gaze away from me and looking back at the guys, who seemed to be enjoying her company.
“Enough about me. How have you guys been. heard you found yourself a mate?” She said as she looked over at Blake.
Blake nodded, his face going a bit passive at her question.
“You’ve got to introduce us.” She squealed as if her life depended on Blake introducing her to Sasha.
“Why? so you can try and steal her too.” I muttered under my breath, rolling my eyes at her enthusiasm.
“Did you say something?” She whipped her head towards my direction.
“No.” I said simply with a fake smile.
“Did you?” I countered.
She scrunched up her nose before going back to Blake.

“As I was saying, you got to introduce us Blake.”
“Sure, when she comes over.” Blake said in his usual disinterested
tone.
He was the only one not fawning over her irritating over sensual antics and for that I wanted to hug him.
“Yay!” she clapped her hands.
“She must be something to get the big bad Blake to settle.”
Blake smiled in response.
“And what about you Mason,” her gaze shifted to the wolf opposite her. “Found your mate yet or are you seeing anyone?” she inquired as she he took a sip of juice.
“Nah, I am not seeing anyone.”
“Why not?”
“just haven’t found the right person yet plus I’m too busy with work.”
“Aww, I’m sure you’ll find someone soon. I’ll help you.”
“That won’t be necessary…”
“Nonsense, if your excuse is that you are too busy then I’ll just have to be on the look out for you. You are welcome.”
I scoffed at that. She glanced over at me briefly before moving on to Caleb.
“And Cale…” she glared at the man seated directly opposite her playfully.

Caleb gasped at the accusation. “Whatever gave you that idea? I am in fact a changed man. I only exclusively pick up red heads now,” he clarified with a grin as he popped an olive into his mouth.
Rhea rolled her eyes in disbelief and for the first time I agreed with her. Caleb was something else.
“You are ridiculous, you know that? One of these days you are going to impregnate one or more of this women. Maybe then you’ll take responsibility.”
“Did you and the Luna have some kind of a meeting about this.. I’m not impregnating anyone…”
“Uhun.” She mumbled as she picked up her pasta with a fork and ate.
“No one’s getting pregnant,” He said firmly this time “I use protection plus the ladies want me. What am I supposed to do say no? It’s not my fault I’m good in bed… and on the table and shower and floor and kitchen counter and everywhere else.”
I face palmed myself at Caleb’s description and he rewarded me with a grin.
“it’s true! That’s why they keep coming back.”
Mason and Bake shook their head in shame but said nothing.
“Speaking of being good in bed and everywhere else,” Rhea glanced over at Alexander. “Lexi?”
“Hmm.” Alexander looked up at her.

Alexander choked on his food and I dragged my dagger filled eyes to
tend to him.
“Sorry baby,” I Cooed as I cleaned his mouth with a napkin. I glared at the woman who was rubbing at his back and cooing at him too.
“Here, have some water.” She handed him a glass and Alexander took the offering and drank. I wasn’t sure who I was more angry at Alexander or Rhea or the water I hadn’t thought of giving him.
She was still Cooing and rubbing his back when he stood up abruptly, still coughing.
“If you’d excuse me ladies, I just remembered I have something important to take care of. Blake, come with me.” He coughed.
Without sparing a glance at me, he walked off with his Beta.
I glared at Rhea and she shrugged like she hadn’t just destroyed breakfast.
“Well, that was awkward.” Caleb quipped into the silence.
I didn’t even have the energy to glare at him.
“I think I’ll go too,” I said as I stood up. I threw the napkin I had used on Alexander on the table forcefully and left.
