I bit into my burger, savoring the taste and savoring Alexander’s eyes on me when the dinning room door burst open with such force, it rattled the plates on the table.
“Lexi! An unfamiliar, shrill but sultry voice screamed into the dinning room almost immediately and I looked up at the disturbance and found a black head woman I had never seen before running towards us with a big smile on her face and eyes trained on Alexander. Caleb was behind her, rolling his eyes good naturedly at her.
“Lexi?” I glanced over at Alexander in question as I straightened. He shrugged in response and stood up to greet the strange and hyperactive
woman.
“Oh, my God, it’s really you. I’m so happy to see you! It’s been forever!” She shrieked and tried hugging Alexander but He turned in time for her to get just his side.
“Bursting with energy as always Rhea.” He said in greeting with a grin playing at his lips.
“Yeah, and look at you. You are way hotter than the last time I saw you!” she said, eyeing him like he was some god.
I wrinkled my nose at her statement. Way hotter?
So, this was the woman that was meant to stay with us for God knows how long. I immediately didn’t like her.
“Ah, well thank you. You look well.” Alexander replied with a small
laugh.
“Oh, thank you.” She giggled and for the first time I noticed her clothing. She was wearing a tight blue jeans with black booths and a red turtle neck that had a heart shape hole in her chest area that more than revealed her more than ample breast. She was just a few inches taller than me. Her eyes were a clear hazel color and her lips were blood red. Everything about her screamed sensuality.
“God, I’ve missed you.” She said, looking up at Alexander like he had the answers to the secret of the universe.
Alexander smiled politely. “it has certainly been a while since we last saw each other.”
“Yeah…” she started to say but her eyes found mine and she paused. She raised a questioning brow at me and I stared blankly at her. Alexander looked over at me and as if he finally realized I was there, he cleared his throat.
“Rhea, this is Isabella, My Luna.”
Rhea’s face fell almost immediately Alexander introduced me and I could have sworn her face fell even further when He told her who I was. All the mirth and smile seemed to have disappeared from her face but it was merely a second because she immediately smiled again almost as if I had imagined it.
“Oh.” She said simply with a smile I was sure was far from genuine, plastered on her face. She waved at me and I gave a curt nod.
I said nothing for several moments, just staring at the woman with a blank expression.
“Right,” well Rhea, You must be exhausted, Caleb will show you to your room.” Alexander said probably noticing how awkward the

atmosphere had gotten. Good call from him because I really had nothing to say to the woman.
“What? I thought you’d be the one to do that?” she asked with disappointment in her voice. The way she was staring to Alexander made me extremely uncomfortable. It felt too personal.
“The Alpha is busy with his Luna Miss. Rhea.” Caleb said from behind and I’d never wanted to hug him more than I did in that moment. Yes Caleb, please take the woman away before I say something inappropriate.
She pouted some more and my irritation grew. She seemed a little too attention seeking and I didn’t like it. Not one bit.
“But Lex, I thought we could catch up and talk, you know, about the good old times,” She said as she grabbed unto his hands.
My dislike for the girl grew even worse in that moment. Not only was her voice annoying, she was too touchy. A growl escaped my lips but apparently not loud enough because no one seemed to have heard me.
“I’m sorry. Maybe some other time,” Alexander added and pulled his arms away from her grasp.
“Alright, I’ll hold you up to that promise.” She grinned before walking off with Caleb reluctantly.
Alexander sighed and turned back to me when they were finally out of the room. “Now, where were we?” he asked with a smile as he sat back down. “Right, you were telling me how good the burgers tasted.”
“Yeah, I’ve lost my appetite,” I said honestly, dropping the burger on my plate.
“what? Why? is everything okay?” he asked, worried.”

“Yeah…” I said but it came out weak.
“That’s clearly a lie. Tell me what’s wrong? Is this about Rhea? Because she’s just the Alpha’s daughter. You know the one I told you was coming to stay over.”
“Oh really? Could have fooled me.” I snapped, feeling a pang of jealousy in my stomach. I knew it was ridiculous but I didn’t like the way she was talking to Alexander like she knew him more than I did.
“Bella…”
“I’m fine…I’m going up for a nap.”
“But we aren’t even done with lunch.” He said looking down at both our plates briefly.
“I just told you… I lost my appetite, besides don’t you have a mountain of work to do?”
“yeah but I’d rather spend time with you.”
I rolled my eyes at him.
“Alpha.” One of Alexander’s men came in.
“We have reports.” The man continued.
Alexander glanced to the wolf with an irritated expression, annoyed at the interruption. I touched his hand and told him to go ahead and he nodded. I left the dinning hall and went straight up to my room, pissed for some reason at Alexander and Rhea? That was her name right?
When I got to my room, I took a quick shower and after picked up my phone and face timed Chloe, needing someone to rant to.
“Hey, how’s my favorite Luna doing?” Chloe yelled into the phone.

She was wearing a yellow maxi dress and seated in bed with a bag of chips in her hand.
“same old, same old. How’s the baby?” I asked.
“kicking like a horse.” She said with a little laugh.
“That’s Great.”
“Okay, tell me why you sound and look like someone stole your man.”
“Nobody stole my man!” I snapped at her a little to hard.
“um, are you sure?” she asked cautiously. “because you sound like they stole your baby too.‘
I heaved a sigh to calm my nerves.
“I’m sorry for snapping at you… it’s just we have a guest in the mansion.”
“And?”
“And I don’t think I like her very much.”
“Who is she and what don’t you like about her?”
I told her who she was. There was a long pause from her accompanied with a blank stare.
“Say something!”
“Um, well, I think you are overreacting a bit which is funny because I‘ m the pregnant one.”
“very funny.” I said dryly.

“Seriously though, she seemed a little too aquatinted with Xander for her to be just some Alpha’s daughter he’s helping,” I said as I dragged a pillow and placed on my lap.
“Have you asked Xander about it?”
“No.”
“Overreacting.” She sang as she popped a potato chip in her mouth.
“I hate you sometimes, You know that right?”
“I love you too Bella. But seriously though, just ask Alexander about it or get to know her first…”
“I’ll pass.” I said stubbornly.”
She looked over at someone or something from her end and nodded at whatever the person was saying before looking back at me.
“sorry about that.” She sighed with a grunt.
I waved off her apology.
“Well, I’d love to make fun of you for being jealous of some random woman but the Doctor is here and I have to go. I love you though and stop being paranoid” with that she hung up and I threw my phone next to me and sighed, tired.
I decided to play games on my phone to coo off a bit more. Maybe
Chloe was right, maybe I was overreacting.

I stepped out of the shower after taking a long bath and wrapped myself with a towel as I walked down to the room to get ready for bed. It was around 11pm now and I had spent the better part of the day in

I paused in my tracks when I saw Alexander lounging on the bed. He glanced up at me and gave me a small smile.
“Hey.”
“Hey, what are you doing here?” I asked.
“Well, I live here Isabella…” he said as he stood up from the bed
“I mean what are you doing in my room,” I pressed.
“You mean our room,” he said as he walked up to me.
I rolled my eyes at him even though he towered over me.
“Rolling your eyes at your Alpha, Young lady? That’s a punishable offense.”
