Hundred and Nineteen
It’s true what they say, Art is the purest way to express your emotions and as I stared at the painting before me, I couldn’t have agreed more. I was not totally aware of how much time had passed since I’d been painting but I knew I was feeling better. The sun was out now and it’s warmth was evident on my skin.
The painting had turned out more beautiful than I expected, despite the angry way it had started. I did a great job of representing my frustration and anger and somehow I felt a little better now, more in control of my emotions. Though, I was still mildy annoyed. I stared at my painting again, proud of myself, I didn’t even remember the last time I painted. It felt like ages ago and I wondered why I ever gave it up. It was so therapeutic.
It wasn’t my best work but it was my new favorite. If only my mother was here, she would have loved it and probably bragged about me becoming the next Picasso or something. I missed her. She was my biggest fan.
I sighed, knowing I’d never see her again and a wave of sadness came
over me.
“Whoa, that’s beautifully intense.” Sasha said from behind me. She came into a view a second later and I looked up at her. She was in the same clothes as night.
“You think so?” I asked.
“Absolutely. I love how it screams anger and frustration but also love and patience. I don’t know how to explain it ” She said, staring at the painting intently. I smiled, surprised that she understood

“I actually get it, that’s kind of what I was going for. Thank you. I love it too.” I said, turning to admire my painting. It was an image of almost abstract flames engulfing a wolf in a building but at the bottom of the house was a path made of a flowers untouched by the flame.
“You’re welcome and you should.”
“What are you doing here by the way, thought You were going to see Blake?” I put down my brush and pallet on top of my box and faced Sasha.
“yeah, I was, but he was with the Alpha, discussing pack business when I got there.” She sat down on a small lunge chair besides me. I welcomed her company wordlessly. I had been painting for hours and now that I was feeling better, I needed someone to speak to.
“Ah, of course.” I said with a nod.
“By the way, I apologize for bringing in alcohol last night… Alexander didn’t seem to be too happy about it this morning. I hope I didn’t get you into any sort of trouble with him?” she asked as she searched my face for an answer.
“Its okay. It’s nothing. We had fun didn’t we?” I waved her off.
“we did” she giggled.
It wasn’t her fault Alexander was being a big baby about it. I refused to feel bad or make Sasha feel bad when we hadn’t done anything wrong. Granted, it wouldn’t have been good look for the Luna to be shit faced drunk in front of her maids but only Lisa saw me like that and I trusted Lisa. There was honestly no good reason for his behavior.
“So tell me, how long have you been painting for?” she asked after a beat as she scanned the painting in awe again.

“Since I was a kid.” I answered truthfully.
“Really? You’ve always been in love with painting?”
“Yeah, sort of. It was a hobby at first, something to while my time away and then it slowly turned into an obsession, I couldn’t do without. I remember when I couldn’t go a day without painting. It was as important to me as breathing… it eventually went from an obsession to a coping mechanism but yeah I absolutely love painting. Always have.” She was silent for a bit and for a minute I was worried I had overwhelmed her with all my coping mechanism talk.
“That’s beautiful. Have you ever painted someone you loved?”
“Yeah… I have.”
“Do you think you can paint me?”
“Of course. Why not?” I chuckled. The one question people always asked when they discovered I could paint was if I could paint them and it was always funny to me because there were endless possibilities of things I could paint but for some reason people always wanted theor face on canvas.
“What about Blake. I’d like to gift him with a painting of him and maybe keep one for myself.”
“How romantic.” I winked and the girl blushed a crimson color.
“Yeah.” I chuckled at her shyness. It always amazed me how she went from bold to shy sometimes.
“I can definitely paint the both of you, just let me know when you are ready.”
“That’s amazing. Have you had any of your pieces featured in a gallery

before?” she asked.
“if it isn’t my two favorite women, Wait, no, second favorite women…” Caleb’s loud boisterous voice interrupted us from behind. He placed his hands on both our shoulders and gave both of us a hug before rounding us and taking a sit opposite us.
“Hi Caleb…” Sasha and I smiled at the tall man.
“Hello, Y’all are glowing. Well Bella I think it’s mostly because of the paint all over you“. He pointed at the red stain across my arm and several other body part. I rolled my eyes at him.
He narrowly escaped the smack I was about to give him when he took my brush from my pallet and drew a line across my arm.
“Whoa, that’s a nice painting. Who are we angry at?” be asked when he caught a glimpse of my work. st
“No one.” I swatted at him.
“Right.” He narrowed his eyes knowingly but didn’t say a word which I appreciated him for. He glanced over at Sasha and tried to ruffle her
hair.
“Sasha…”
“I swear, if you ruffle my hair I’ll bite you.” Sasha said before Caleb’s hand got to her hair.
“Wow, tough crowd today huh? Something happen between you and Blake?” he wiggled his eyebrows at her.
“uh, no. I just brushed my hair and I don’t want you messing it up before he sees me.”

“Aww… Anyway. What have you guys been up to?” He asked as he sat back down. “Me, personally, had the best sex of my life last night. It was with this Omega chick right? Beautiful with long red curly hair and the curves of a goddess, you should have seen the way she was screaming my name as I gave her from…”
“Okay. Too much information Caleb.” Sasha shook her head as she pressed both hands against her ears.
“But I haven’t even gotten to the best part yet.” Caleb said with a smirk. I didn’t mind his sexcapades stories, they were always so wild and unhinged and I secretly Loved them but sometimes he was way too graphic about it and I wouldn’t have minded if said details weren’t completely unhinged.
“No, we get it. She was a good lay and you’ll never see her again. Am I right?” I asked knowing the answer already. One thing about Caleb was that in as much as he was a good friend, he was a terrible lover, almost never seeing the same girl. More than once.
“I mean, I’m going to see her tomorrow and I’m hurt by that. What? You think I just hit and run.”
“No, Caleb honey, we know, and that’s okay. One day when all the woman you’ve left hanging come knocking at your door with a child on their arms we’ll be sure to be there for you.”
“Very funny.” Caleb glared at me.
“I use protection, so your point is completely moot.” He said defiantly and I laughed at his pouting.
“Maybe it’s time we find a nice girl for you to settle with, who knows we might just end up, finding your mate.”
“And deprive the Ladies of my presence? That would be selfish of me.”

He said with a smug look.
Sasha and I both rolled our eyes at him.
“I’m sure the ladies will survive Caleb.”
Just then Alexander walked in with Blake beside him. He stopped speaking when he got close enough and glanced over at Caleb, a frown marring his gorgeous face.
“Caleb, Go to the southern border and do a little inspection on the guards there. See what’s going on and how we can help and report back to me.”
“Is everything alright?” Caleb asked.
“That’s what I need you to find out.” Alexander said with a passive expression.
Caleb nodded and left. Meanwhile Sasha was at Blake side now, smiling and blushing at him. Alexander turned with a stiff posture and began to walk away without so much as acknowledging me and I felt a little sting at his action.
I sighed, Tired and exhausted and probably needed a bath.
