Chapter 354 Thirty-Five Percent
Radley underwent another physical examination on Sunday. Judging from Ethan’s pale face alone, he had a few guesses in mind.
“Dr. Griffiths, if you have something to say, just say it.”
Ethan tried to persuade Radley. “Mr. Monaghan, the doctors in our hospital aren’t that skillful. Please let Miss Kaufmann participate in this case. She has previously researched drugs for incurable diseases and is even more renowned in performing surgery.”
Radley’s eyes flickered slightly. “That won’t be necessary
Since things had escalated up to this point, and Ethan couldn’t cure him, he didn’t want Freya to waste her efforts only to end up disappointed.
Ethan wanted to persuade further, but he could only sigh at Radley’s resolute attitude.
“Amputation is inevitable. When will the surgery take place?” Radley asked.
His indifferent attitude surprised Ethan.
Whenever a patient found out they needed an amputation, they would either beg for their lives or become heartbroken and desperate.
However, Radley remained calm as if it wasn’t his own body.
Ethan thought about Freya and said, “If your legs are incurable, they will gradually deteriorate. I suggest waiting a little longer and seeing if there is any new hope.”
The only hope lay with Freya.
“Alright, I understand. Thank you, Dr. Griffiths, Radley said.
Ethan nodded. “Rest well. I will check on your latest examination results.”
Watching Ethan leave, Radley leaned against the bed. Expressionlessly, he looked at his legs. His hand clenched into a fist as his knuckles turned white.
Perhaps, he would lose his legs soon and Freya too.
He took a deep breath.
After a long while, he finally released his clenched hand
Freya and Lucius were discussing the treatment plan in her patient room at 11:30 am
The four of them had been researching day and night the past week. Lucius hair was disheveled like a bird’s nest after burning the midnight oil, but he looked lively regardless
He was holding the treatment plan as his eyes were bloodshot “This plan is finally finalized. I think there’s a thirty-five percent chance for a recovery”
Maddox pushed his gold-rimmed glasses. For a patient who’s destined to have an amputation, even a one

percent chance of recovery is worth a try, and a thirty-five percent possibility is already quite high.”
Freya sat beside him with her long hair tied up with a pen.
Looking at the treatment plan in front of her, she took a deep breath and said, “It’s not enough! It should be at least fifty-one percent.”
For the sake of Radley, she was determined to fight for that one slim chance!
“Fifty-one percent? That’s impossible,” Lucius said bluntly.
Maddox and Russell shook their heads.
Thirty-five percent was already the result of a week of them spending four sleepless nights. They had consulted a lot of information and asked many surgical friends about similar cases during that week.
Freya picked up the cup of black coffee next to her and took a sip. “It’s okay. Since we already have a preliminary plan, I will study it further and see if there are any ways to improve.”
She looked at the four of them. “You three have been with me this whole week, and it has been rough for you to stay up all night every day. You can go back and rest for a while. I will take care of the
rest.”
Lucius hesitated. “Miss Kaufmann, the drugs we researched before this have been approved and are now officially being used. The drug regulatory authority has also notified us that the drug has received praise from the Global Health Organization and several international awards. They would like you to go and receive the awards-”
It was not that he didn’t know how to choose the right time to say it, but one of the awards was too important. Throughout the history of the establishment of the medical organization, there have been no more than five recipients of it.
Freya was the only recipient in nearly 20 years!
She shook her head. “If it’s just about receiving the awards, it doesn’t matter who goes among the three of
you.
While she was speaking, she was still looking at the treatment plan in her hand.
Russell pulled the two of them and silently shook his head, gesturing for them to leave.
After leaving the ward, Lucius couldn’t help but sigh. “Mr. Monaghan is really admirable. Miss Kaufmann is willing to give up such an important award just to treat him.”
Russell smiled and said, “You’re not married yet, so you won’t understand when it comes to relationships. If it were my wife or daughter in this situation, not to mention some prestigious award, I would even give up my life for them”
The three of them chatted for a while. Maddox sighed. “I really can’t put up with it anymore. If we want to help Miss Kaufmann, I think it’s best for us to go home and get some sleep now. Then, we can study together tomorrow how to improve the success rate of the treatment plan.”
After sharing a few more words, the trio left.
In the patient room. Freya was reading the treatment plan she had compiled on her phone when it suddenly rang. She picked it up and glanced at it. It was a message from Ethan.

The message contained only a file about Radley’s latest medical examination report.
Freya’s expression became serious as she opened the report and read it.
His condition had not improved.
She immediately called Ethan. After the call connected, Ethan’s voice resounded. “Hello, Miss Kaufmann.”
Freya went straight to the point. “Dr. Griffiths, I have read the report you sent me about Radley. I want to know what his current stance is and if you have told him about our previous discussion.”
He sounded somewhat helpless. “Miss Kaufmann, I have tried my best to persuade him, but before I could finish speaking. Mr. Monaghan refused.”
Freya pursed her lips. Her hand on the table tightened as her nails dug into her palm.
“I understand. I have already researched a treatment plan here with a success rate of about thirty-five percent. I want to increase the success rate more.”
Thirty-five percent!” He was surprised.
“Yes, let’s discuss it again once I have confirmed everything on my end,” she said.
She continued to study the treatment plan until the afternoon.
The door of the hospital room was knocked at 5:30 p.m., and Isabella entered the room.
“Frey, I brought you dinner.”
Freya nodded. “Just put it over there. I’ll eat later.”
Isabella took a deep breath. Anger welled up within her as she observed how exhausted Freya was.
She stepped forward and took the treatment plan directly from Freya’s hand. “You’ve only had five or six meals this whole week, and you’ve been staying up all night. If you keep this up, I’m afraid you’ll die before Radley can recover.”
Freya helplessly replied, “Please give me back the treatment plan first. I’ll eat now.”
“Eat first,” Isabella firmly insisted.
Freya obediently did as Isabella told.
Isabella sat beside her and advised her, “Regardless of the situation, your health is paramount. Even if you’re able to come up with the best treatment plan, will you have the energy to perform surgery on Radley with the lack of energy?”
