Chapter 287 The Owner of the Camera
Connor had already invited the second man to sit beside the chubby guy from earlier.
The sophisticated man tried to maintain his composure
“I’ve lost my camera.”
“Lost?” Radley narrowed his eyes.
Connor asked from the side, “When did you lose it?”
“I don’t know the exact time, but when I needed it last week, I found that my camera was missing” The man looked somewhat puzzled.
“Why are you asking about this?” he inquired.
Connor nodded and took a stack of photos from the nearby table, handing them to the man.
“Is this the camera you said was lost? If it was lost last week, then what were you holding three days ago?”
The photos showed the surveillance footage from Evergreen University.
The time in the top right corner indicated three days ago, showing the man coming out of the library with a camera in his hand.
“I… I don’t know. Maybe I remembered wrong!” The man panicked.
His gaze darted around nervously, clearly showing signs of guilt.
Connor’s voice turned cold as he stood up and looked down at the guy. “We’re asking you about this camera as part of an investigation, and we hope you’ll cooperate.”
“I don’t know what you want to investigate. The man suddenly blurted out.
Connor sneered, “Don’t worry. We are not investigating your sale of voyeuristic videos on illegal international websites.”
“What are you talking about? I don’t understand.” The man was scared, his legs shaking.
The videos he took were valuable because of their authenticity, which was why they were priced so high on the websites.
However, the subjects he filmed were his classmates, all students from Evergreen University! Once exposed, those students would probably tear him apart!
Moreover, Evergreen University would definitely punish him, and his life would be over!
If he faced prosecution, he might spend the rest of his life in prison!
The
guy trembled in fear. Whether uploading videos or receiving payments, he had always used virtual IP addresses and purchased bank cards.
He has always been cautious about maintaining secrecy in his actions, so how did this man in front of him
know?

Connor’s expression turned icy. “Mister, we don’t have much time. I hope you don’t test our patience.”
“I really don’t understand what you’re talking about! You better let me go now, or I’ll accuse you of kidnapping!” the man shouted bravely.
Connor shook his head disappointedly. “It seems like you really don’t intend to speak.”
The man looked at the other two classmates sitting on the chairs nearby. “My classmates are here too. What do you want to do to me? Do you dare to kill the three of us to keep us quiet?”
For a moment, the two guys sitting on the chair glared at the man with golden-rimmed glasses.
What the heck! The man had already said we had nothing to do with it, yet this guy insisted on dragging us down! they thought.
As soon as the man with glasses could finish his sentence, Connor’s movements were lightning-fast, and in the next second, he forcefully threw the man to the ground!
The man screamed and tried to stand up, but Connor’s foot had already stepped on his hand before he could even turn over.
“Mister, are you interested in experiencing the sensation of all the bones in your hand being shattered?” Connor coldly chuckled.
The man with glasses stared at Connor in horror, feeling as if he was facing a terrifying messenger from the underworld, and the one sitting on the sofa behind him was the King of Hell!
He… He had appeared so polite just a moment ago! Even when he was threatening, he asked questions. with a polite smile and even addressed him as ‘Mister!
The man on the ground was already petrified with fear and out of his wits.
“In fact, deep down, you know very well why we’re secking you out. As long as you obediently tell us what happened that night, we’re not interested in your other matters.”
“I don’t know which night you’re talking about,” the man retorted stubbornly.
Connor nodded and raised his foot, kicking the man directly in the chin!
Over the next ten minutes, the two guys sitting on the chair experienced the most terrifying scenes of
their lives!
Connor’s actions were incredibly precise, leaving no visible scars. His hands were like the devil’s, able to dislocate joints with a simple touch.
Within just two minutes, the man with glasses was lying limp on the ground like a noodle. Even his jawbone had been dislocated, and his tongue was hanging out, drooling continuously.
He screamed and yelled, but his voice remained feeble.
Connor squatted before him, smiling. “Are you ready to talk now?”
The man nodded vigorously, wriggling on the ground like a worm.
Connor didn’t immediately fix his dislocated joints. He just simply put the dislocated jawbone back in place.

“I… I’ll talk! I’ll talk! Please, hurry and fix my joints.”
“Speak first.” Connor smiled politely, adopting a professional and business-like demeanor. “You’ve made a very wise choice. If you didn’t speak today, there might not be a person like you in the world tomorrow.”
The guy clenched his teeth and, seeing Connor about to take action again, howled like he had seen a ghost, “On… that day, when I was setting up the camera on the tree, a couple came by underneath not long after. I heard the woman tell a man that they must handle it cleanly! I was curious at the time…” The man with glasses looked embarrassed. “I thought these two were having an affair in the woods and discussing cleaning things up. So, I watched from the tree for a while, but the woman kept standing nearby and didn’t leave. After a short while, the man returned and said that Benjamin would be coming soon, so he told the woman to leave first.”
“And then?” Connor asked.
“I was curious because that small grove is usually where our school’s couples who can’t afford a hotel or are looking for excitement often have sex. However, the man told the woman to leave and said Benjamin would come soon. I thought they might be a gay couple, so I lost interest. After those two left, I climbed down the tree and set up the camera. But the next day…” The man with glasses wore a terrified expression. “When I woke up, someone said that Benjamin had been stabbed and died in Swan Lake!”
Radley squinted his eyes on the sofa.
“Did you report this to the police?”
The man with glasses shook his head vigorously. “I can’t say that I saw the faces of those two people! If I say it, they will definitely not spare me!”
Connor nodded on the side. “So, that’s why you didn’t even dare to retrieve the camera?”
“It was too horrifying. I never want to go there anymore. Everyone at school says that Melissa and Hannah killed Benjamin, but I know in my heart! It must have been that woman who ordered the man to kill him!” The man with glasses trembled. “Why do you have to force me to speak out? If those two people find out, they will definitely kill me.”
