Chapter 262 Avoidance Isn’t a Solution
In the room, Brisa squinted her eyes at Freya. “Freya, I know you have many friends, and there must be quite a few potential godparents for the baby. So, I decided to take the initiative. From now on, I’ll be the baby’s godmother, capeesh?”
Freya chuckled. “Did you climb into my window in the middle of the night just for this?”
“This is a matter of importance!” Brisa said seriously.
After chatting for a while, Freya learned from Brisa that Ernie and his wife from the Porter Group had suffered greatly and died due to ineffective treatment.
“Was it really ineffective treatment, or was there another reason?” Freya narrowed her eyes slightly.
She found it hard to believe that such a coincidence could happen.

I already noticed it the moment Brisa entered our gates. I let her through because I knew she was coming to see you. If it were Radley, he would have been stopped at the gate long ago.”
Only then did Freya feel at ease.
Several days flew by in the blink of an eye, and during this time, Freya focused all her thoughts on the baby.
The child, not yet a month old, always gave people a sense of extreme fragility. Even though. Sylvia and Braxton had hired several professional nannies to assist, Freya remained sensitive. Whenever the baby cried, her heart would tighten with anxiety.

On Wednesday, Freya was in the middle of changing her boy’s diaper at 9 a.m. when the maid knocked on the door.
“Miss Freya, Melissa Marshall from the Marshall family is here to see you.”
“Melissa? Let her in.” Freya smiled. It had been a while since she last saw her dear cousin.
The maid left after acknowledging, and before long, Melissa walked into the room with an expectant look on her face.
“Frey, I’m here to see you and the baby!”
At that, Freya teased Melissa, “I thought you were so busy with your love life lately that wouldn’t have time to visit me. Your mother was in Caltun not long ago, but you didn’t

Melissa looked a little guilty. “I didn’t know you were in trouble before. They kept it from me. Now that I know, I came as soon as possible.”
While talking. Freya noticed someone behind Melissa.
When she saw Hannah’s face, her expression tightened.
Hannah had come wearing a mask and a hat. Now that she had taken them off, she found it strange to see Freya’s serious expression.
“What’s wrong, Freya?” Hannah asked with concern.
Freya turned to Melissa. “Why didn’t you mention that you were bringing someone with. you?”
Hannah stood by, stunned. Although Freya and Hannah had some conflicts before, their relationship improved later. But why does Freya seem distant today?
“What’s wrong, Freya?” Hannah asked again with concern.
Freya pressed her lips together tightly as memories of the past when Hannah had been. arrogant and belittling toward her flashed through her mind.

Those condemnations seemed to have been etched into her very being over those two years.
Seeing Freya distressed, Hannah turned to Melissa and whispered, “Melissa, is Freya okay?”
Freya took a deep breath.
Why did her amnesia have to bring back memories of the past?
She had no idea how to face these people now,
Hannah used to bully her before, and by her previous nature, they should’ve avoided each other by any means possible.
However, after her memory loss, she discovered some endearing qualities about Hannah.
Freya tried to calm herself down.
She looked at Hannah and managed a faint smile. “Sorry, I haven’t been feeling well lately, probably due to being busy caring for the baby. Melissa, Hannah, you should go back for
now.”
Hannah’s eyes winded with incredulity. I have just arrived, and Freya’s already asking me to leave?!
Hannah had a purpose in coming this very day. She gritted her teeth and took a step forward. “Freya, actually, I came today to ask you something. Can you tell me why you suddenly refuse to see my brother?”
Hannah’s expression was sincere.
Freya clenched her hand tightly.
“There’s no specific reason. We just don’t get along anymore.”
“Don’t get along?” Hannah thought about the recent atmosphere at home and anxiously grabbed Freya’s arm. “Freya, do you know what Radley has done for you? He had ant important meeting before going to Vroria, but he flew over because of your casual comment.
“When you were injured, when you were in danger, Radley risked his life to save you, now you suddenly ignore him. At least give him a reason!”

“But Radley hasn’t come home for days, nor has he gone to the company. Right now, he’s wholly focused on you.” Hannah tightened her grip on Freya’s arm. “Freya, I’ve never seen my brother like this before. It’s as if he doesn’t care about anything anymore like he’s completely lost his mind!”
“This has nothing to do with me.” Freya pressed her lips together tightly.
“Hannah, please go back for now. I need some time to calm down and consider thoroughly. Once I figure it out, I will give you an answer, okay?”
Hannah looked at Freya with pleading eyes. Seeing Freya’s firm attitude, she could only turn around and leave.
The room fell into silence.
Freya released her tightly clenched hand, revealing deep crescent-shaped nail marks in her palm.
She needed time to calm down and carefully think about handling these emotions.
As things stood now, avoiding the situation wasn’t a solution.
However, until she sorted out her thoughts, she didn’t want to see Radley either.
Freya decided to give herself about half a month to think it through.
She made an effort to maintain a positive mindset and immediately stopped whenever her thoughts became overwhelming.
“Don’t revert to the timid self you used to be,” Freya said under her breath.
