Chapter 246 Can’t You Do It Here in Caltun?
When it was time to get off work, Freya drove with Brandon to the traditional courtyard.
Considering how quiet the road was, she hesitated to break the silence. “Master, can you not tell Radley about my plan to leave Caltun?”
Brandon frowned at those words. “What’s wrong? Why do you have to keep this a secret from him?”
“I just really don’t want to be disturbed,” Freya whispered.
Brandon thought for a moment. “I won’t say anything, but as you said, you won’t be able to come back in a short time. He will find out soon.”
“We’ll talk about it when the time comes, then. Freya smiled. Her current idea was simple: she would delay as much as possible.
Freya drove with Brandon back to the traditional courtyard. It had been a long time since Trisha had seen Freya, and she was delighted to see her.
“Frey, you are here. My goodness, you’re still running around with that belly. Seriously…
Trisha’s voice was warm and gentle with a touch of concern. “I’ll make you something to eat. You probably haven’t had dinner yet, right?”
Freya nodded. “Mhm! Mrs. Lane, I’m craving your spaghetti carbonara!”
“Alright, wait here. I will make you some.” Trisha agreed with a gentle smile.
Freya’s eyes flickered slightly, and she stepped forward to link her arm with the older woman’s.
Her fingers quietly touched Trisha’s pulse.
“Let me help you, Mrs. Lane.”
Trisha didn’t notice anything unusual and lightly patted Freya’s hand with a smile.
“You can’t do any work in your current state. Just wait here in the courtyard.”
Now that Freya had already taken Trisha’s pulse, she knew what she needed to know. Retracting her hand, she obediently replied, “Got it!”
Freya knew that Trisha wouldn’t let her help. And so, she sat in the courtyard and drank tea with Brandon.
Brandon glanced at her from time to time. “Frey, what’s going on between you and Radley? Did he bully you? Is that why you are planning to go to Vroria?”
Brandon squinted as he spoke. He looked angry as if he would immediately go and confront Radley if Freya confirmed it.
Freya’s heart softened. “That’s not it. I want to go to Vroria to prepare for delivery”
“Why go to Vroria? Can’t you do that in Caltun?” Brandon frowned.
But I really can’t. Freya quietly sighed. I also want to avoid Radley.

“Master, I have my own reasons for doing this. Don’t worry. I will take care of my safety,” Freya reassured him with a smile.
“As long as you’ve made up your mind, I guess.” Brandon sighed and stopped persuading her.
The two of them discussed the structure of tenon-mortise for a while.
Trisha brought out the spaghetti carbonara not long after. After Freya finished her meal, she drove back to the Kaufmann Residence.
When she arrived home, Freya heard her phone beep. She took it out and saw a message from Radley.
Radley: Frey, what are you doing?
Freya thought for a moment.
Freya: I just got home.
Radley: I heard from the staff at the West Geft Joint Department that you went there today.
Freya fell silent for a moment.
Freya: Right. I went to see Master.
Radley: Why didn’t you call me?
Feeling guilty, Freya clenched her phone.
Freya: I just went there for a while and planned to come back. I thought you must be busy today, so I didn’t call you.
After chatting with Radley for a while, Freya went to the small study in the bedroom.
She opened The Green Flamation forum and entered the Council of Elders group. Brisa and Inken were arguing in the group.
Seeing this, Freya sent a private message to Brisa.
Green Scylla: What have you been busy with lately?
Since the last time she asked Brisa to guard the medical research room and was rejected, Brisa, who was her assistant, hadn’t appeared often.
Brisa: Busy playing every day. What’s up?
Freya thought for a moment.
Freya: I plan to leave Caltun and go to Vroria for the next two months.
Brisa: Why go to Vroria? Did you offend someone? Are you seeking refuge?
Freya chuckled. She has quite the imagination.

Freya: No, I’m planning to prepare for the delivery in Vroria.
Brisa’s reply came immediately.
Brisa: I’ll go with you.
Freya: No need for that. I think the people behind the scenes won’t be able to reach Vroria. Besides, I have another favor to ask of you.
Freya sent a voice message. “Although Eugene and Michael are responsible for the security of the medical research room, I still can’t rest assured if I’m not there. I want you to stay in Caltun for a while and visit the research room from time to time to report their progress to me.”
Much to Freya’s relief, Brisa eventually agreed.
Freya then chatted with Inken in The Green Flamation forum’s Council of Elders group for a while.
Inken had previously discovered that a group of people was secretly investigating her, and they even offered a high price to Tisch to infiltrate her side using Brisa’s identity.
However, those people had been quiet recently after Brisa knew her true identity and risked her life to save her.
It seemed that they had discovered something.
Freya knew that they were the ones searching for The Compendium of Medical Wisdom, but unfortunately, she hadn’t figured out the secrets in the compendium yet.
Inken’s search progress was also slow-it was almost at a standstill. Those people hid themselves too well. and even with what The Green Flamation was capable of, they couldn’t find clues.

After chatting with the members in the group, Freya left the small study and entered the bedroom.
There was an obvious multipurpose box on her bedside table.
Freya opened the compartment and found a copy of The Compendium of Medical Wisdom hidden inside.
As she flipped through the book, she considered whether to bring it to Vroria.
It’s risky to bring it to Vroria.
Freya frowned. It was the safest when it was in the multipurpose box.
Even if someone broke into her room, they wouldn’t be able to find it so quickly.
Then again, it would be a different story if she was going to leave for two months.
Freya thought for a moment and decided to entrust the book to Braxton during her absence.
In the evening, Braxton returned home from work.
