Chapter 238 Stirring Up Trouble.
After hanging up the phone, Freya returned to the pile of wood.
While sanding the wood, Brandon looked up at her and smirked, as if he knew everything. “Did Radley call?”
“Yeah,” Freya replied.
Observing Freya’s expression, he commented, “Radley has finally made it, but it seems like the strong woman is scared of a clingy man.”
Freya’s eyes widened. “Master, what are you speaking about?”

He continued sanding the wood with sandpaper, a smile on his face. “I didn’t think would accept Radley, so I never told you anything. But I actually think he’s a pretty good chap. Previously when the West Geft Joint Department was overwhelmed, he took on all the responsibilities because he didn’t want you to feel burned out. Furthermore, he comes here every day just to see you, not knowing when you’ll be here. It takes a lot of determination to take a chance like that.”
It was almost time to get off work. Freya listened to Brandon’s half-complimentary, half- teasing remarks about Radley, and the multipurpose box in her hand was finally finished.
“Master, you’re criticizing Radley when you’re actually praising him between the lines. Don’t think that I can’t tell,” Freya muttered. “I feel like you’ve received some benefits from him.”
Soon, it was time to call it a day, and she left the West Geft Joint Department with the multipurpose box in her arms, walking alongside Brandon. Then, she drove and dropped off Brandon at the traditional courtyard where he lived. After having some pasta prepared by her master’s wife, she left in her car and her phone rang while she was driving.
Taking a look at it, she saw that it was a call from Isabella and put on her earphones before. answering the call.
“Freya, where are you now?” From the other end, Isabella’s voice was filled with excitement.
“What’s wrong?” Freya asked.
“Have you seen today’s Twitter?”
“Twitter? Did something happen again?” Freya’s brows furrowed.
Thanks to Danna’s constant troublemaking and her own DiligentFrey account, she was viral on Twitter multiple times. So, whenever she thought of trending topics, she automatically associated them with trouble.
“No, you need to go and see Matthew Hood’s Twitter!”
Freya frowned and parked the car by the side of the road. Then, she opened the Twitter app on her phone and found Matthew’s account.
Matthew, the current president of the Hood Group, was doing a live interview, and when Freya joined the live broadcast from the link, she saw numerous comments about herself popping up on the screen.
‘DiligentFrey. Isn’t she the young mistress of the Kaufmanns?”
‘Matthew Hood’s ideal type is actually her?”
‘I think they make a great couple. Matthew Hood is rich and handsome. DiligentFrey is also a lady that I’ve always admired!’
‘But isn’t DiligentFrey pregnant? Could the child be Matthew Hood’s?’

Freya read the comments on the screen. Although the live broadcast about her was already. over, she had a general idea of what had happened. Most likely, the host had asked Matthew about his ideal type, and he directly gave DiligentFrey as the answer.
I’ve already made it clear to Matthew yesterday, but he still mentioned me as his ideal type when asked by the host! Freya thought in annoyance, worried about Radley’s reaction to this live broadcast. because it had taken her a great amount of effort to convince Radley not to target the Hood Group.
Nevertheless, an excited Isabella chirped from the other end of the phone, “Freya, did you see it?”
“Yes, I did.” Freya hissed, gritting her teeth in anger.
Isabella seemed oblivious. “I didn’t expect Matthew to be so romantic. I’m telling you, although he had a bad reputation before as the playboy of Caltun, he has never acknowledged any woman as his girlfriend before and I think he’s serious about you this
time.”
Freya took a deep breath to calm herself. “But I don’t like him and never planned to date him. How can he just casually turn me into a topic of his discussion?” Rumors about her were already spreading around town because of her pregnancy, and she had no idea what other kinds of rumors would spark after this interview.
“Why do you dislike him?” Isabella asked curiously. “Even though he’s notorious, he has improved a lot recently. Plus, he has been friends with your older brother for years. He may
seem like a playboy on the surface, but he’s actually a reliable
person.”
“Forget it, I can’t convince you. Just remember that it’s impossible between me and Matthew,” Freya replied. “I’m still driving, so I won’t chat with you for now.”
After hanging up the phone, Freya drove away, irritation filling up her chest. She knew very well that Matthew didn’t have a bad character, but she didn’t have any romantic feelings towards him.
When she arrived home, she saw her grandmother sitting in the living room.
Looking up, Sarah waved happily when she saw Freya return. “Frey, come here. I’m watching the replay of Matthew Hood’s live broadcast.”
Freya rubbed her forehead in exasperation. “Grandma, please don’t watch it.”
“What’s wrong? Frey, when Matthew came to congratulate me on my birthday, I could tell that this boy was interested in you. What do you think about him?” Sarah asked with a smile, clearly hoping for a positive answer.
Rubbing her forehead, Freya then recounted her conversation with Isabella, explaining her stand to Sarah.

Freya rose to her feet. “Grandma, let me go freshen up first. I’ll have dinner with. you later.”
After saying that, she hurriedly went upstairs, thinking that Matthew had really stirred up quite a bit of trouble for her.
For a few minutes, she stayed in her room. Subsequently, she took a shower and changed into a nightgown. As she blow-dried her hair, she turned on the replay of Matthew’s live broadcast and found out that the conversation between Matthew and the host was exactly as she had imagined.
Furious, she turned on Instagram and found his account.
‘Matthew Hood, what did you mean by today’s live broadcast?’ she texted.
Almost instantly, he replied, ‘I knew you would come to find me. He even added a cute emoji at the end.
Freya texted, ‘I thought I made it clear to you yesterday that I have no feelings for you.
Matthew retorted, “You have the right to reject me, just as I have the freedom to woo you. Frey, that’s fair,
What fairness? I have no feelings for him! Freya seethed silently, feeling that she couldn’t reason
with him.
While she was contemplating her wording, another message popped up on Instagram.
“Hi, baby Frey, Chris texted.
Freya sneered. “Baby Frey?”
That’s a term of endearment for friends! How about going out for a meal together tomorrow? Let’s invite Matthew, too, he suggested.
