In a soft voice, she analyzed. “In the past, those individuals have consistently stirred up turmoil within our family. Whether it was your car accident or mine, it’s evident that they prefer to orchestrate events to appear as accidents. However, neither of us died, proving their intention wasn’t to take our lives. They’re merely seeking the book’s location amidst the chaos. It’s possible they wouldn’t even risk ending our lives, as if they couldn’t uncover the book’s whereabouts, they’d eventually be compelled to extract the information from us.”
Pondering, he asked, “So, you’re not afraid of them kidnapping you?” He then arched his eyebrows slightly. “Listen, if anything were to happen to you, I don’t care how precious the Compendium of Medical Wisdom is. Nothing outweighs your importance to me. I’d hand over the book without hesitation.”
Freya chuckled softly. “But you have to be able to find it first.”
Braxton sneered. “Considering the size of your room, I could easily disassemble it and send it to them.”
She halted her playful banter. “Now is not the time to dwell on such matters. The main concern is your engagement banquet. Mom wants it to be held at our house. With a sizable
take gathering, it’s bound to be the most chaotic time. As for the security, it’s best if you charge, Brax. Mom is unaware of this matter, so she might think that employing ordinary personnel for security would suffice.”
He furrowed his brow and pondered. “I understand. I’ll handle this matter.”
His expression grew icy. Having faced numerous challenges to be with Isabella, he was resolute in not permitting anyone to mar their engagement banquet.
After finishing breakfast, Freya left the house under Braxton’s disdainful gaze and drove toward the Monaghans’ mansion. She had frequented the place so often that she no longer required navigation to get there. After driving for over an hour, she arrived at the entrance. As she made an appointment with Daniella last night to visit today, the latter had gotten up early.
When Freya drove her car into the garden of the Monaghans’ mansion and parked in front of the villa, a sudden tightness gripped her chest, and her eyes welled up as she caught sight
of the figure near the villa’s entrance. In front of the splendid and quaint villa, an elderly lady sat on the elevated steps, her demeanor reminiscent of a child as she waited with hands. cradling her checks.

Taking a deep breath, Freya shifted her gaze toward the living room entrance. Radley was entering from the outside. As she took in his tall stature and handsome features, she had a moment of daze.
“Okay.” She responded to Daniella’s words, her gaze falling on him. In terms of quality, he was unquestionably the finest man in Caltun. The only issue was that he had put Freya through two years of torment.
She released a sigh. Even though she had lost those memories, the meek woman who had jotted down various things in the notepad on her old phone left her unfamiliar. Furthermore, according to her brother, mother, and friends, she had endured an extremely miserable life.
When she first woke up, she sincerely disliked Radley. Her nature had always been marked by pride, yet she never could have foreseen she would be confronted with the reality of
having been a flatterer for two years upon awakening.
Freya found it unbelievable, yet the time she had spent with him during this period had begun to doubt. He was undeniably exceptional in every aspect, and his current attitude. toward her truly moved her.
Meanwhile, he already sat on the couch opposite Daniella and Freya. Daniella stared at him. for a while before furrowing her brow. “Who are you? Why are you in my house?”
Helpless, Freya held Daniella’s arm. “Grandma, this is Radley, your grandson.”
“Oh, Radley,” Daniella murmured. Suddenly, her brows furrowed in anger as if she had recalled something. She stood up and was about to hit him. “You naughty boy, why do you always bully Frey?” Though her hit was not forceful, her voice held a raised intensity.
Freya chuckled and glanced at Radley. “Seems that she’s concerned about you even during her episodes.” She implied that Daniella’s desire to scold him persisted even when she was having an episode.
He caught the playful undertone in Freya’s words. “She cares about you even more. Even during her episodes, she still wants to defend you.”
While conversing, they successfully persuaded Daniella to take a seat. Before long, however, Daniella’s gaze turned distant, and she appeared somewhat dazed, no longer speaking.
Freya called Walter, and he respectfully answered, “After she has an episode, she usually stays in this state for a while.”
Seated beside Daniella, she raised her gaze to meet Radley, who sat across from them. “Why didn’t you go to the company today?”
He glanced at his phone, perusing some company documents, his tone composed. “Because I knew you were coming here.”
Freya was taken aback while he directed his gaze from his documents to her, his deep eyes beneath his proud brows brimming with profound emotions. Flustered, she chuckled awkwardly and redirected her gaze to Daniella.
