Chapter 226 The Last Live Stream
Within Freya’s workspace at Kaufmann Residence, Edward meticulously arranged all the equipment. Meanwhile, she sat at the live-streaming table, resting her chin on her hands. Although she had prepared everything she needed for the live stream, she found him unusually serious today. Her eyes flickered slightly. “Edward, is it not ready yet?”
Flustered, he set the camera to the highest resolution before looking up at her. “It’s ready, Frea.”
“Then, let’s start.” She smiled.
As the live stream commenced, a larger audience than usual gathered, owing to his prior announcement on Twitter that this marked her final broadcast of the
year.
In the live stream room, numerous individuals inquired about the reason behind Freya’s decision to stop live streaming. She helplessly explained, “My brother is getting married soon, so I’ll be busy. Besides, my pregnancy due date is at the end of this year. I promise I’ll be back next year.”
The live stream room was in chaos.
“What Frey said is true. Giving birth is a big deal.
‘Don’t worry, Frey. What matters most is having a safe birthing process.”
Amidst the discussions, Freya was also moved. After an extensive period of creating content and live streams, she accomplished her initial objective. She managed to promote the funeral profession and engage in discussions about health knowledge with a wide audience.
The live stream went smoothly. In her last live stream, she did not have any make-up lessons. Instead, she sincerely chatted with the fans who had made charitable donations, thanking them. In the end, she announced the earnings for the month and shared a screenshot of the donation to the charity association, as usual.
For her final live stream, she extended the duration and continued streaming until 11:30 p.m. During the stream, Sparkling Sorceress, HumblePath, MonDa, and Matt Majesty were present. Naturally, she also established a new record for live-stream earnings on the platform.
Following the end of the live stream, she removed her light makeup and raised her gaze to find Edward busy arranging the live streaming equipment and camera tripod. She chuckled lightly and proceeded to walk over to the table. From a drawer, she retrieved an invitation card and handed it to him.
Having just closed the camera box, he looked up and saw the invitation card. The invitation card was festive, with a golden border. “What is this, Frea?” Surprised, he gazed at her.
“It’s an invitation card.” Freya smiled. “Half a month from now, my brother’s engagement ceremony will take place, followed by the wedding at our residence. I wholeheartedly invite you to join us for this occasion. Will you be able to make it?”
Edward held the invitation card with both hands, and it seemed as if he saw the hope of seeing her again. He nodded firmly. “Frea, don’t worry, I’ll come.”

little brother. Therefore, moving forward, feel free to share whatever’s on your mind. Remember, boys shouldn’t be too reserved.”
He looked up at her abruptly. Her eyes were clear and bright. “Even if I stop live streaming in the future, I hope you’ll still come to visit me often. Otherwise, I’ll be bored at home alone.”
Freya gently touched her belly. For the time being, she could still move about without much. difficulty, but she knew that if she engaged in too much activity for another day, her back. would ache come nighttime. “In two months, I might not be able to move around much. anymore. If you have time, come and chat with me.”
Edward’s eyes gleamed like two radiant suns, ablaze with brightness. “Frea, don’t worry. I’ll come to see you often.”
He held the invitation card, crumpling it without realizing it. “How about I come to see you. every weekend?”
She nodded with a smile. “That’s good, but remember to call in advance. I might be out.”
Upon his initial arrival at Kaufmann Residence, he was engulfed by melancholy. However, as he departed, he seemed to come alive again.
Freya saw him off at the door and checked the time; it was already 12:30 a.m. She retreated to her room, taking a moment to straighten things up, freshen up with a wash, and finally settle herself onto the bed. As she had scheduled to meet Daniella in the morning, she turned over and fell into a deep sleep.
The following morning, she descended the stairs to find Sylvia and Braxton seated in the living room, discussing the guest list. She glanced at them. “Mom, aren’t Granny, Uncle Noah, and Aunt Ashley coming as well? Don’t forget to book their plane tickets.”
At her reminder, Sylvia suddenly remembered and slapped her forehead. “I completely forgot about the plane tickets.”
Braxton laughed from the side and remarked, “It’s okay. Even if you forget, Uncle Noah cant book them himself. After all, we’re a family.”
Observing him, Freya noticed he had been in a notably improved state lately and felt relieved. As long as he and Isabella got engaged, he would not have to worry about her being taken away every day.
He turned to her. “Why did you wake up so early today?” Narrowing his eyes, he guessed. “You aren’t going to visit Madam Daniella again, are you?”
She smiled and sat beside Sylvia, trying to please her. “Mom, Madam Daniella was always. good to me before. Now that she has Alzheimer’s, it’s only right for me to visit her often, don’t you think?”
Sylvia’s brows furrowed as her gaze shifted toward Freya’s belly. “Frey, I’m worried about you going out every day, especially when your brother’s engagement is approaching, and I’m swamped with preparations. Can’t you just stay home?”
Freya playfully snuggled into Sylvia’s arms, eventually teasing the latter to the point where she looked utterly exasperated. “Mom, look at me. I’m healthy now, and I have regular prenatal check-ups.”
Sylvia sighed softly. “Alright, but once you’re in your eighth month of pregnancy, you really shouldn’t be going out anymore.”
Freya thought for a moment and agreed, but Braxton frowned.
As Sylvia and he had already had breakfast since they woke up early, Freya went to the dining room alone to have breakfast. While she was eating, he walked in and sat next to her. She scooped some cereal. “Brax, what’s wrong? Mom has given her consent for me to go out.”
“What’s wrong?” He lowered his voice, his brow furrowed. “Mom might not be aware of everything, but you’re well aware that there are eyes on our family from the shadows. Given your condition, they might exploit the situation.”
