Chapter 205 I Don’t Understand the Life of the Rich
After a moment of thought, Freya found this tactic to be truly ruthless.
Her brows furrowed slightly and she sent another message to Isabella.
Freya: Braxton just stormed out. Are you sure your parents won’t be suspicious when he arrives at your place in such a condition? Even if your parents approve, seeing Braxton’s agitated state might still leave them hesitant, don’t you think so?
Isabella: Then what should we do now?

Freya raised an eyebrow, appreciating their loyalty, but she didn’t want anyone to go through hardships on her behalf.
She then opened the management group chat of The Green Flamation, finding it silent.
Freya: Ink, have you managed to find the batch of research equipment I requested?
Ink: What exactly are you looking for? Some of the equipment is expensive, while others are so secretive that people suspected my agents to be spies!
Freya chuckled softly. Many of the medical instruments she sought were recently developed in a research. lab overseas in Damford. She only had access to partial information.
Freya: How costly are the expensive ones?
Ink: The priciest ones can cost billions, while even the more affordable ones come with a price of hundreds of millions. After doing the math, all the equipment you need adds up to five billion. I might be able to get the ones from Damford, but it’s going to involve some serious maneuvering, like stealing the design blueprints from their top-secret research facility, and then finding skilled hands to put it all together. Frankly speaking, there’s no way we can make this happen for anything less than seven billion. Take some time to think it over!
Green Scylla: Send me the bank account details.
Ink: What?
Heartless Scoundrel: Holy crap! I know your family is rich, but I never thought it was this much! Isn’t your family company run by your elder brother? Did you sneak some money from there?

Freya couldn’t help but chuckle softly.
In truth, she didn’t have a massive amount of fixed savings. Ever since she had awakened, Braxton and Sylvia had given her some money, amounting to around 20 to 30 million.
However, the bulk of her fortune came from the ten billion she earned through her venture in Vroria.
Noah treated it as a reward, considering it as her pocket money.
But money wasn’t the focus for Freya; as Sylvia had rightly pointed out, being together as a family was what truly mattered.
Even if curing Braxton’s illness required over seven billion, or even tens or hundreds of billions, she would do whatever it took to find a way to pay for that.
The Kaufmanns enjoyed privileged relations with the banks, which ensured that large transfers were processed with expediency.
Freya transferred the funds to Ink and urged him to expedite the acquisition of the equipment. Shipping expenses and costs weren’t a concern; she could arrange for a private jet to bring it all.

Meanwhile, the group continued chatting, and Freya browsed a medical forum.

Freya figured out the expected delivery of the medical equipment. Everything else would arrive relatively quickly, except for the two devices from Damford, which might present some complications.
In her mind, Freya set the interview schedule, thinking a week from now would be just right.
She created a group with the four candidates, naming it “Striving for Humanity’s Reproduction!”
The group name seemed far from serious, and Freya couldn’t help but wonder if Ink’s influence had rubbed off on her inappropriately.
She shared the location in the group, the place where she planned to set up her medical research lab. Having finished her tasks, Freya tossed her phone aside. It was already eleven at night.
She had to meet Radley at the West Geft Joint Department tomorrow to discuss their collaboration. Feeling content, Freya settled into bed and snuggled against the pillow as she drifted into dreamland.

Bright and early, Freya rose and freshened up.
Dressed formally, she left her bedroom and passed by Braxton’s slightly ajar door, stealing a glance inside.
Freya lightly tapped on the door.
“Brax?”
At the end of the corridor, a maid who was tidying up glanced over and whispered, “Miss Kaufmann, Mr. Kaufmann hasn’t returned since he left yesterday.”
Freya fell into contemplation. Braxton could go celibate for two whole years, but once he let loose, het became passionately involved and would stay out all night.

Sylvia was having her meal in the dining room.
Seeing Freya, she looked surprised. “Why are you up so early today? It’s not a weekend.”
Freya smiled and replied, “I need to go to the West Geft Joint Department today.”
Sylvia nodded knowingly. By now, she understood that she couldn’t control Freya any longer.
“Be careful on your way. Your baby bump is growing, you must be cautious in everything you do.”
“Yes, Mom.”
Sylvia pondered for a moment and then pulled out a thick stack of photos from her bag, handing them to. Freya.
“What’s this, Mom?”
While eating, Freya glanced at the photos.
The pictures displayed various buildings, including villas and traditional courtyards, some of them look grand.
Sylvia spoke calmly. “You mentioned that you want to find a house for Mr. Lane, right? I have Ayden. gather all the available vacant properties in Vroria. There might be a few omissions, but most of them are here.”
Freya glanced at the photo and pressed her lips together.
Sylvia added, “There are numbers on the back of the photos. When you find a design you like, just send the corresponding number to Ayden. He has the interior and floor plans.”
Freya’s heart was filled with a gentle warmth, as she felt a touch of emotion. “Mom, I can’t imagine how much effort you put into organizing all this.”
Ever since Sylvia noticed her recent excessive sleep, she had been silently taking care of her. From preparing her favorite delicacies to discreetly taking note of her casual remark about finding a house for her mentor, Sylvia had taken everything to heart,
And now, she had gone to such lengths to find so many options.
Sylvia smiled gracefully, her face radiating elegance.
“It was Ayden who helped me with this. I haven’t done much at home.”
