Chapter 194 Old Acquaintances Looking For Trouble
Radley exuded a sense of detachment.
“Thank you for your offer, but there is no need for that.”
“Mr. Monaghan, please give me some face. After all, our families have been cooperating for many years.” The man’s attitude turned fawning and obsequious.”
Freya pursed her lips and looked up at Radley with a smile.
“You
go ahead. I’ll take a look around here.”
Radley frowned, seemingly concerned about her.-
Freya lowered her voice and advised, “If you go, you can gather some information.”
Radley looked at her intensely.
“Alright, but don’t wander around here or go to the garden.”
Freya nodded in response, and Radley left.
Watching his figure fade away, Freya let out a sigh.
The news about the Monaghans and the Kaufmanns was already well–protected in Caltun.:
She was only worried because some of those families had collaborated with the Monaghan Group, and she feared Radley’s absence might embarrass them.
Unconsciously, she was starting to consider his feelings?!
Freya twitched her lips and quickly found an excuse for herself – perhaps it was merely an expression of friendliness and courtesy towards business partners.
The seminar was organized by the authorities.
Wilson was the guest of honor and wouldn’t appear at the beginning.
Freya’s eyes flickered as she put herself in Wilson’s shoes and thought.
She would use this seminar to identify potential collaborators if she were Wilson.
Confronted with such a serious matter, he would observé everyone from some corner of the hall.

With a smile,, she stared at the cup of juice in her hand and quickly mapped out the location of Ronald Manor in her mind.
To have a complete view of the hall, she could only do so from the corner of the escalator on the second floor.
The second floor of Ronald Manor was not part of the seminar area.
Freya turned around and walked to the champagne tower on the side, gazing through the glass.
Through the glimmer of the glass, she could vaguely see a tall figure standing at the escalator on the second floor.
A slight curve appeared at the corner of Freya’s lips. It seemed that she had guessed correctly.
Freya quickly recalled the information she had gathered before.
The Wilson family appreciated polite people, especially given their royal background; they valued etiquette.
Freya’s every move became more elegant.
After all, she was Miss Kaufmann of the Kaufmann Group. When she stood there for a while, several women and young ladies approached her to engage in conversation.
Freya tried her best to maintain all the manners, with a faint smile on her face, reciprocating each interaction.
Several ladies were unusually excited.
“Miss Kaufmann, I heard your brother has no girlfriend yet. My niece from my mother’s side is also single and she’s gorgeous!” one of the ladies said excitedly.
Freya felt a headache coming on, but she still maintained a faint smile on her face.
Wave after wave of people came forward.
She couldn’t hold on any longer.
Scanning the surroundings, she spotted a vacant single sofa nearby and walked there slowly.
To hell with etiquette and elegance. Freya inwardly lamented. She couldn’t understand how those royal members in Iternia managed to maintain their composure for so long.
Sitting on a small sofa, as long as she didn’t move, it wouldn’t be considered impolite.
As Freya was contemplating, she heard a woman’s voice behind her:
“Oh, isn’t this Freya from the Kaufmann family? Oh, I heard you are in charge of the Kaufmann Group now?”
The woman’s voice was loud, attracting the attention of those around them.
Freya turned around and looked at the familiar face, her lips twitching slightly.
It was her college classmate.
Famous for being a second–generation wealthy, the heiress of the William Group, Stella William!
During their time at Evergreen University, Freya and Stella had a strained relationship.
Not because of anything else, but because Stella always found fault with her.
Freya forced a smile on her face.
“Stella, long time no see.”
Stella was taken aback. She scrutinized Freya from head to toe, wondering if she had mistaken her for someone else.
Back in college, whenever she confronted Freya, Freya would coldly retort.
And this woman was extremely malicious.
Stella had been sent abroad because she offended Freya; she was expelled from Evergreen University.
“You’re still pretending, huh?” Stella noticed the people around them watching and lowered her voice.
Freya raised her eyebrows, reminding herself to stay elegant and polite.
“Miss William, when did you come back from abroad?”
But Stella’s voice turned cold.
“Freya, do you even have the face to ask me when I came back?! It was because of you that my dad sent me abroad in the first place!”
Regarding this matter, Stella was full of hatred towards Freya.
Because of her sudden departure abroad, her boyfriend at Evergreen University broke up with her. It was all because of this b*tch, Freya Kaufmann!
The Williams had recently been doing well in Capitael, and Stella’s confidence had returned.
She crossed her arms and looked disdainful.
“Freya, so many years have passed, but you haven’t changed much. Your belly has gotten round, though.”
Stella sneered, thinking of the recent gossip she had heard.
“I’m not even married yet, but you got married and divorced, and now you’re pregnant. I’m really curious, whose child are you carrying?”
Freya let out a cold laugh, forcibly restraining herself from punching this b*tch–looking face in front of her!
Stella covered her lips and laughed arrogantly.
“You really don’t know, do you? I heard a lot of gossip. Some say that the child in your belly is Radley’s, and some say it is Matthew’s from the Hood family.”
Freya’s face turned cold.
“Miss William, you better watch your words!”
If it weren’t for leaving an elegant and polite impression on Wilson, she would have slapped this woman in the face!
Stella’s self–confidence seemed to grow more robust, and she wore a smug smile as she said, “But both families are good choices. Whichever family it is, you shouldn’t keep it a secret. You really don’t know, do you? Back in college, I already told you to stay away from nightclubs.”
The people around fell silent, and Stella’s voice grew louder, making her words clear to everyone.
“This is a seminar. Who does she think she is? So arrogant.”
“She is from the William Group, which also started in Caltun. They moved their entire family to the Capitael afterward. They have some grudges against the Kaufmann Group.
