Matthew, who was on the other end of the phone, was not surprised that Radley was with Freya. He provocatively responded, “I might be dreaming, but you have nothing left to think about. The Marshalls haven’t forgotten the things you’ve done.”
Worried that the two would argue, Freya frowned and urged, “Give the phone back to my brother!”
After a while, Braxton’s voice came from the phone. “Isabella is also here. Come back soon!”
Freya understood why Braxton called her. He was calling for reinforcements.
Braxton loved Isabella and wanted to avoid her.
This was his way of dragging her back to be his shield.
As Radley looked at Freya beside him, the latter quickly avoided his gaze.
“Alright, I got it. I’ll be home soon,” Freya agreed and hung up the phone, feeling a bit helpless.
It had been three or four days since their grandmother’s birthday, and the guests should have left by now. However, Matthew and Isabella were still in Vroria.
Freya knew how Isabella felt about her brother. After all this time, Isabella wouldn’t give up just like that.
But if Braxton continued to avoid her and Isabella gave up, there was no turning back.
That was what Freya feared the most.
As the car drove smoothly, Radley glanced at Freya beside him and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Freya sighed. “Nothing. I’m just thinking about some family matters.”
Having heard Braxton’s words earlier, Radley pursed his lips.
In the past two years, there had been rumors in Caltun about Braxton from the Kaufmann Group dating Isabella from the Parker Group.
“About your brother and Isabella, you mean?” Radley asked.
Freya was surprised to hear that. “You know about that too?”
Radley put on a small smile. His voice which echoed in the dimly lit car was calm. “This news was spread in Caltun before, and since the Monaghans and the Kaufmanns have always been competitors, I usually know about what happens with the Kaufmanns
Freya chuckled lightly, nodded, and looked out the car window. “Indeed. It’s a given
The car was passing through a commercial district
“Look at that building Radley suddenly spoke up.
Freya followed Radley’s gaze and saw a particularly dazzling building not far away among the towering commercial buildings.
The building was extremely tall as if it was piercing the dark sky, overlooking the entire Vroria
“That building looks pretty impressive. It’s been three years since I came back to Vroria, and I heard that they were going to build the tallest building called the Moon Tower here.” Freya smiled. “I wonder which company built it? They really went all out.”
Radley kept smiling. “The Holland Group. It’s Chris’ family.”
Freya was taken aback. There were only a few groups in Vroria that could build such a building.
Radley looked at Freya and added, “I don’t know what your brother is thinking, but if he’s interested in Isabella, it’s best to win her over early,”
Freya furrowed her eyebrows. “What do you mean?”
“Chris’ grandparents, including his parents, are very satisfied with Isabella and intend to form a marriage alliance with the Parker Group.
“The Holland family has set their sights on her.”
Freya scoffed. “So what if the Holland family is interested? It’s not like they can force Isabella to marry into their family.”
“Why do you think Chris has run away from home a few times and hid in Caltun?”
Freya pondered for a moment. “The Parker Group is also a large corporation in Caltun; they are not that different from the Holland Group. It doesn’t matter how interested the Holland family is if the Parker family doesn’t agree.”
Radley smiled helplessly.
“The Holland Group has had a lot of resources in their hands recently, and in Vroria, only the Marshalls can stand on equal footing with them. The Parker Group is also expanding into Vroria. If the Holland family doesn’t want the Parkers to stay in Vroria, all the preparations and investments the Parkers made to enter Vroria will be in vain.”

When Freya got out of the car, she said, “You should go back too

After watching Freya enter Marshall Residence, Connor looked at Radley and started, “Mr. Monaghan.”
“Let’s go back.” Radley sat in the car and took out his phone to call Chris.
“I’m surprised you still remember me!” Chris’ voice sounded resentful. “I’m locked up at home again. Just to attend a birthday banquet at the Kaufmanns. You’ve put your bro in deep sh*t just so you could see Freya!”
“Chris.” Radley’s voice was cold, and his eyes were filled with a chill. “I need your help with something.
“Are you trying to set me up again?!” Chris shouted.
“If you succeed, I’ll make your family agree to your coming back to Caltun with me tomorrow.”
Chris’ voice immediately perked up as if he had come back to life. “What do you need me to do?”
“Cause trouble for the Hood Group and make Matthew leave Vroria tomorrow,” Radley instructed in an icy tone, his expression growing equally emotionless.
There was silence on the other end for a few seconds before Chris agreed to it. “Alright, I’ll figure something out.”
After Freya entered the residence, she saw Ashley in the living room with a resigned smile on her face.
Matthew, Isabella, Melissa, and Ryan were sitting at the table playing cards.
Freya approached Ashley and reminded her, Aunt Ashley, you should go rest.”
“I’m not tired. They’re playing Truth or Dare while drinking. I’m worried about Isabella. She has drunk half a bottle of white wine during the dare.”
Isabella, who was in high spirits, was flushed and clearly drunk.
“Pair of twos!”
Ryan yawned and threw down three threes on the table. “I’m out.”
Isabella stared at the cards for a moment. “Isn’t there one missing?”
Ryan then found another card in the deck. “Here it is.”
Isabella nodded. “Okay, it’s your turn.”
Freya massaged her temples. It was obvious that Isabella and Melissa were the most enthusiastic about the game. Isabella, especially, had also had too much to drink.
Ryan and Matthew were just playing around.
She turned her head and looked at the couch not far from the card table. Matthew’s face was completely frigid!
Isabella lost again.
Melissa thought for a moment before asking. “Truth, Dare, or drink?”
“I can’t drink anymore,” Isabella slurred. “Let’s go with Truth”

Matthew sneered, “So you do know that it’s harmful to you!”
Freya helplessly walked over to Matthew. “Brax, if you care about her, why don’t you just stop her from drinking?”
Matthew pursed his lips. “What does it have to do with me?”
Fine, be stubborn.
Freya sat down beside him. “I won’t care either.”
“But she’s your friend!” Matthew angrily huffed.
Freya raised an eyebrow at those words. “And she’s your ex-girlfriend.”
Hearing that, Melissa thought for a moment before she suddenly asked, “Isabella, have you ever had a boyfriend?”
Everyone present, including Matthew and Freya, was stunned.
