Chapter 178 An Unexpected Kiss
There seemed to be an unpredictable atmosphere between them.
After this incident, Freya found that she and Radley worked surprisingly well together. It was not only on the projects in West Geft but also on deceiving people.
She took out her phone and informed him, “I’ve booked the restaurant. We’ll arrive just in time if we leave
now.”
They had already discussed this before taking action.
Radley suggested that Freya should treat him to dinner after the mission was accomplished.
Since he had done her a huge favor, Freya booked the top floating restaurant in Vroria.
It was a specialty of Vroria.
Connor was in charge of driving. The floating restaurant was quite far away as it was on a river on the city’s north side. Therefore, it took them an hour to get there, and it was already dark when they arrived.
Feeling bored, Freya casually chatted with Connor on the way there.
Connor smiled and said, “Miss Kaufmann, those 100 kilograms of gold almost broke my back.”
“Why didn’t you let someone else carry it? You’re still young and it would be troublesome if you hurt your back, Freya replied casually.
Then, Radley turned his head and looked at her.
Taken aback by his actions, Freya looked into the man’s smiling eyes.
“My back is in great condition.”
That left Freya feeling speechless.
Whether his back was fine or not had nothing to do with her.
Freya touched her abdomen and looked away.
The car stopped at an intersection, and Freya lowered the car window to look outside.

His heartbeat sounds abnormal, she thought, Is he scared?
The man’s body exuded the scent of agarwood and had a hint of coldness, like the smell of melting ice.
Freya wanted to sit up straight.

She looked up and met Radley’s deep eyes.
The sky was already dark, and the car’s interior was even darker.
Radley’s silhouette looked hazy but also handsomely sharp. The contrast between the two made Freya suddenly stop moving.
The hand that was holding her shoulder didn’t let go but tightened slightly.
Freya pursed her lips, and her heartbeat also seemed to beat abnormally.
Outside the car, it was precisely the time the city government had set for the street lights to turn on, so they all turned on at the same time.
The opened window on Freya’s side allowed the light to instantly penetrate through and bring the man’s face into a clear view.
Radley’s lips were thin and beautiful but also made him seem unapproachable.
He had a tall, straight nose. Above it was a pair of dark eyes that seemed to contain swirling galaxies.

Never had Radley tasted something so good that he forgot about his surroundings.
As long as he had her, he didn’t need anything else.
He was cautious but couldn’t help but deepen the kiss little by little.

The sound of a long honking broke the dreamlike atmosphere in the car.
Freya returned to her senses, bit her lip, and pushed Radley away.

The pedestrian lights were green, which meant the cars had to stop and let the pedestrians pass.
Many pedestrians were currently crossing the street, yet the car behind them kept honking the horn.
When Radley turned to look at Freya, she had already turned her head to the side.
He took a deep breath.
If they continued their actions just now, he had a feeling that he was about to touch her and capture her heart.

Connor turned to look at Radley. “Mr. Monaghan.”
The man continued to shout, cursing in the local dialect.
“Why are you pretending to be nice by letting pedestrians pass? You can be f*cking polite all you want but don’t block my way. Otherwise, I’ll hit you so hard that your car flies into the sky!”
Those trails of curses rendered Freya speechless.
Rarely was there anyone who could curse so perfectly in Vrorian dialect.
Before the car was an old man with a walking stick, he was so embarrassed by the scolding that he tried his best to move forward quickly.
Connor got out of the car and took off his coat, leaving it in the car.
Then, he stood next to the Hummer and rolled up his sleeves.
Seeing the situation, the man in the Hummer behind them taunted, “You’re as skinny as a pole. What’s the matter? Trying to pick a fight?”
