Chapter 163 Gathering After Getting Discharged
In the video, Melissa was panting. “Frea, I’ll bring Hannah with me tonight. Otherwise, she will kill me.”
Freya laughed and ended the call before replying, ‘Okay, stay safe.
She didn’t expect Hannah to care about her so much, and a gentle smile appeared on her face.
Due to this incident, she hadn’t been able to visit Madam Daniella for a while and was starting to miss her. Then, she made up her mind to make time to visit Daniella tomorrow.
The gathering was held at a hotel under the Kaufmann Group. At 7 p.m., Freya called Isabella and Edward to go together.
Braxton had held a press conference at the Kaufmann Group in the afternoon and suppressed the recent rumors on the internet.
When he arrived at the hotel, he ran into Freya and Isabella getting out of the car.
“Brax,” Freya exclaimed excitedly.
Braxton smiled. “Frey.”
Then, Braxton noticed Isabella getting out of the car behind his sister, and his expression fell.
With a frown, Freya whispered to Braxton, “Brax, you’ll hurt her feelings.”
Braxton clenched his fist and put on a cold face, not even sparing a glance at Isabella.
“A short pain is better than a long one.”
“I think you’ve been in pain for a long time. Why are you torturing each other?” Freya gritted her teeth and asked.
As someone who knew the truth, she wanted to explain everything to Isabella.
But Braxton disagreed with it, so she could only choose to respect her brother’s opinion.
At that moment, Braxton noticed Edward, and his attitude softened a lot. “Edward, you came.”

Braxton used to be polite but distant towards Edward, but now they seemed much friendlier.

The group entered a private room in the hotel. Freya thought she had arrived half an hour early, but after entering the room, she realized that almost everyone had arrived.
Aya immediately stood up from the couch she was sitting on while Matthew approached her with big strides. Seeing that, Freya was about to greet him but received a tight hug from him.
“Kittie, you almost scared me to death!”
Braxton immediately pried Matthew’s hand off of her. “Let go of my sister! I’m still here!”
Isabella turned her head quietly and glanced in Edward’s direction.
When she saw the gloomy look on Edward’s face, she raised an eyebrow.
After that, Freya greeted everyone. Ayden, who was Braxton’s assistant, knew all the details, so he wasn’t worried. Instead, he just sat there with a happy expression.
Aya blushed and said, “Freya, I’m so glad you’re okay.”
She didn’t say much, but her expression showed how worried she had been.
After comforting Aya, Freya looked at Melissa and Hannah beside her. Melissa knew the situation and didn’t have much to say, but Hannah was shooting daggers at Freya.
Smiling, Freya began, “Hannah, I heard from Melissa that you were very worried about me. Thank you.”
Hannah bit her lip. “I’m glad you’ve recovered!” After speaking, she looked away and snorted.
Knowing Hannah’s stubborn personality, Freya turned her head to look at the corner.
She was a little surprised to see Jamie there.
“Mr. Fraser.” Freya smiled at Jamie. “You’ve just recovered from a serious condition. Shouldn’t resting for a while longer?”
Although Jamie was sitting in the corner, his presence couldn’t be ignored.

There was a hint of gentleness in Freya’s eyes. The Fraser brothers were both handsome, but Edward gave off a harmless feeling like a gentle breeze.
However, she sensed hidden danger from Jamie. Then, Jamie elegantly rose to his feet.
“Miss Kaufmann, you’re the Fraser family’s benefactor. Therefore, I should pay you a visit after you’re discharged from the hospital.”
After speaking, he took out a box from his pocket and handed it to Freya. “This is a gift to celebrate this occasion. I wish you a smooth and healthy recovery.”
Freya smiled and accepted it.
She always felt that Jamie’s temperament was like something hidden in the dark–elusive but inexplicably dangerous.
Jamie was no ordinary person, but that had nothing to do with her.
Soon, Freya quickly turned her attention to the others.
She didn’t invite many people to this gathering, and the others soon arrived.
Ayden went to open the door, and Inken and Landon walked in with smiles, “Freya.”
Freya was a little surprised and looked at Brisa, who was grinning.
Ink and Scoundrel usually kept their whereabouts hidden, so it was surprising for Freya to see them here.
It made sense for Inken, a known scion hailing from Hartterre, to know Freya, the daughter of the Kaufmanns of Caltun, but Landon was different.
Braxton didn’t know the two of them but sensed that they weren’t ordinary. He asked Isabella softly, “Are these two Frey’s friends?”
Isabella gave Braxton a disdainful look and replied coldly, “How would I know when you, her older
brother, doesn’t even know?”
Asking her was just a subconscious response. After receiving her retort, Braxton realized he was sitting very close to her, so he got up and changed seats.
Freya ushered everyone to take their seats, and they chatted at the dining table for a while.
Ayden walked up to Braxton and whispered, “Mr. Kaufmann, everything’s ready. Should I get them to start serving the dishes?”
“Yes.”
Sensing a strange atmosphere, Freya looked around the dining table.
There was tension between Braxton and Isabella, and Jamie seemed very interested in Landon and would chat with him from time to time.
Meanwhile, Brisa still remembered the “grudge” she had against Inken and was determined to retaliate against him.
Only Melissa and Hannah were chatting quietly. Also, the two innocent children, Aya and Edward, would occasionally chat with Freya, oblivious to the strange atmosphere at the dining table.
As for Matthew, the slick man would occasionally stir up trouble.
“Miss Trujillo, were you Mr. Callahan’s assistant before becoming Freya’s assistant? You seem very familiar with each other.”
Inken smiled gently. “I can’t afford to hire an assistant like Miss Trujillo.”
Brisa immediately followed. “Mr. Callahan is a known weakling in Hartterre. I’m afraid I won’t survive much longer working as his assistant.”
After saying that, she smiled. “Oh, no. I hope you won’t mind me saying that.”
Inken sneered. “Miss Trujillo, you can rest assured. We are not in ancient times anymore. The assistant would not be asked to accompany their boss to death.”
On the other hand, Isabella was pouring wine when Braxton pushed the wine bottle further away.
Isabella glared at him.
But Braxton remained calm. “Your tolerance for alcohol is low. Don’t drink so much.”
“What does my alcohol tolerance have to do with you?” Isabella gritted her teeth in anger. Melissa and Hannah were still conversing in low voices.
“This bag looks good.” Hannah held her phone and looked at it repeatedly.
Melissa looked at the price and commented, “It’s too ugly. The bright yellow might make others think you’re royalty.”
