Chapter 150 Freya’s Concern
After answering Mikael’s question, Sienna waited for him to ask about the TV show she was in.
However, he remained silent and started putting the dice back into the dice container.
With a faint smile, Sienna glanced at Freya.
Then, she added, “It’s a TV show that’s gotten very popular recently. It’s called ‘Moonlit Journey.”
Freya cocked an eyebrow and turned to face Sienna.
“Moonlit Journey” was a TV show invested by the Kaufmanns. How come she didn’t know there was such a character in it? She couldn’t recall seeing Sienna among the familiar actors.
The female lead was Aya and the male lead was Ryan. Freya couldn’t figure out which character Sienna played in “Moonlit Journey, so she asked out of curiosity, “Which character did you play in ‘Moonlit Journey?
Sienna thought Freya was curious about the entertainment industry, and she considered herself a rising star, so she tilted her chin in a proud manner and said,
“I only have a small role as a maid in ‘Moonlit Journey, and there aren’t many of my scenes. Even though I’m a long way from Ryan, who won the award for best actor, and Aya, who is currently the top-rated actress, I learned a lot from the veterans.
Mikael knew that “Moonlit Journey” was invested by the Kaufmanns.
Out of respect for Freya, he added, “Yes, the quality of Moonlit Journey’ is different from other TV shows on the market. Even the small roles are played by famous actors.”
For Sienna, this comment hit the nail on the head, and she immediately started to talk more.
Hearing this, Freya pursed her lips. She listened to Sienna’s never-ending humblebrags about how amazing “Moonlit Journey was.
As Freya carefully listened to everything she said, she began to worry about being exposed.
Sienna boasted about “Moonlit Journey” as if it were the best thing in the world. She even made the author, Jean Birch, sound like an experienced and mature middle-aged man.
Thankfully, the next round of play began quickly. Freya and Sienna, the loser from the previous round, were playing this time.
Sienna’s movements after shaking the dice container were deft and elaborate. They opened the lid and saw that the number Sienna had guessed was more accurate.
Freya slightly arched her eyebrows.
Sienna smiled kindly and asked, “Miss Kaufmann, truth or dare?”
Freya thought for a moment.
It was obviously inappropriate for her to choose dare since she was pregnant. “I’ll go with truth.”
Sienna covered her mouth and looked surprised. At this point, Freya was starting to feel worried.
Where did Chris find this clown?! She was putting up an act with her horrible acting skills and it made Freya feel embarrassed for her.
Sienna covered her mouth and glanced around. Then, with a playful grin, she asked, “Miss Kaufmann, if I ask a difficult question, you won’t be angry, will you?”
The table fell silent, and Radley took a glance at Chris but kept quiet.
Mikael reminded her with a smile, “Don’t ask questions that are too difficult to answer.”
“I won’t.” Sienna smiled and changed the topic, staring curiously at Freya’s belly.
“Miss Kaufmann, how far along are you? Who is the father of the child?”
The mood at the table abruptly became cold.
Freya lowered her eyes, and a hint of ridicule flashed in her eyes. She realized that this woman had been at odds with her all night.
Freya asked coldly, “What’s the penalty for not answering the question?”
Sienna laughed and picked up the wine glass on the table.
“I was going to make you drink three glasses, but you’re pregnant. What should we do?” The problem was pushed back to Freya again.
She frowned slightly as she looked at the glass on the table, and a hand was seen reaching for it.
Freya looked up and met Radley’s intense gaze. He said, TH drink for her.”
He had already had quite a lot to drink, and Freya hurriedly reached out to stop him, saying, “No. Although your wound has somewhat healed, alcohol can still affect the wound’s post-healing process.”
As the two struggled over the glass. Freya’s hand touched Radley’s, and both of them were slightly startled. Sienna, who was standing by, was filled with anger. She bit her lip and quickly thought to herself.
It’s the second time tonight that Radley has drunk for Freya, and they have been talking about his wound all along. Sienna quickly tried to figure out Freya’s identity. After all, she knew a lot about Radley’s injury.
She should be from the hospital. Perhaps just a nurse?
Sienna’s eyes flickered slightly as she smiled. Then, she mocked, “Miss Kaufmann, this is not a hospital. Aren’t you managing Mr. Monaghan too much?”
Freya turned to look at Sienna and then at Radley, who had put down his glass.
Sienna blinked and continued innocently, “Did you meet Mr. Monaghan at the hospital? Such an interesting fate! Are you his caregiver?”
Sienna didn’t notice the cold atmosphere at the table, but Chris saw Radley’s impending penetrating gaze.
Radley was about to speak up for Freya, but Freya’s face darkened and she said, “Miss Sienna, aren’t you asking too many questions? I only lost one game.”
With an innocent look, Sienna replied, “But you haven’t answered a single question, and you want. Mr. Monaghan to take the punishment for you.”
“What’s that got to do with you? Why do I get the impression that you care more about Radley than you do about your boyfriend? Since you’re so concerned about him, why don’t you drink these three glasses of
wine for him?”
Sienna bit her lip, acting like she had been wronged.
With a stern tone, Freya added, “I’m only responding to your questions because of Chris; otherwise, you wouldn’t even have the honor of sitting at the same table as me.”
Ever since this woman asked her to pour water for her, she had been deliberately trying to assert her superiority.
Later on, when she gushed about “Moonlit Journey” as if it were the greatest thing ever, it was clear that she was trying to oversell herself.
Freya was aware of Sienna’s efforts to assert her dominance and of all her sneaky little ploys. She held back on revealing Sienna only out of respect for Chris
However, she had enough of it!
Ar this time, Sienna clasped her hands together and looked at Chris innocently. Feeling wronged, she said, “Chris, that’s not what I’m thinking at all!”
Chris turned to look at Radley.
Radley’s face darkened, and he was already preparing to have someone take Sienna away.
Freya sat there, her sharp gaze fixed on Sienna, “Are you leaving on your own, or do I need to have you escorted out?”
At this, Sienna’s eyes widened.
In disbelief, she clenched her fist and said in a low voice. “Miss Kaufmann, I’m Chris’ girlfriend. You don’t have the right to throw me out, and I don’t believe I’ve done anything to offend you.”
Freya grew impatient and motioned for the waiters outside the private room to come in.
Knowing who Freya was, the waiters bowed politely and addressed her as “Miss Kaufmann.”
Freya pointed to Sienna and politely smiled at the waiters. “Please have this young lady escorted out of the club.
Upon hearing that, the two waiters exchanged glances. Sienna was brought in by the boss!
