Dead.
Chapter 285 Juju is Not Dead
“I’m going to see her,” Jared stated, referring to Cameron.
Upon hearing Jared relent, Yannie couldn’t persist in targeting Julia any longer.
Continuing to target her might lead to Jared’s retort.
“I’ll go with you. I have some medical skills and can assist,” Julia offered as she descended the stairs.
She couldn’t help but wonder why Yannie had come so early in the morning. It must be that Cameron had tearfully pleaded with Yannie to approach Jared. This woman had engaged in an affair with Jordan last night and today was acting as if she deeply loved Jared with no regrets.
Her emotional resilience was clearly lacking.
Yannie reached out to halt Julia. “You, young lady, are truly heartless. If you go to the hospital to see Cameron at this time, you’re aiming to upset her, aren’t you?”
“I was just saying ” Julia was about to speak, but then she noticed Joseph hurrying in from outside, his expression grave, indicating something significant had happened.
Seeing this, Julia refrained from speaking, her eyes fixed on Joseph with anticipation.
“What’s going on?” Jared inquired, his gaze directed at Joseph.
“Boss, this is a major development!” Joseph stated, briefly glancing at Julia.
Julia raised an eyebrow. Was it not suitable for her to hear?
“Do you want me to step out?” she asked.
“No need,” Jared replied and turned his attention back to Joseph. “Just tell me.”
Joseph wasted no time, “I just received news that after the fire at the Watsons‘ residence, there were two bodies found–one adult and one child. However, the younger one was not Julia Watson.”
Shock!
Not Juju?
Julia’s emotions at this moment were far more tumultuous than those of Jared and Yannie.
“What’s happening?” Jared inquired, his eyebrows raised.
“Twenty years ago, the fire was so intense that Julia’s DNA couldn’t be detected.” Both Jared and Yannie knew exactly what Joseph was referring to.
In that incident twenty years ago, a family of three perished: two older children and one younger child. Even if the DNA of the younger child couldn’t be detected due to the intensity of the fire, it was still confirmed to be Juju.
“You mean, with advancements in technology, they were able to detect it now?” Julia conjectured. Her voice carried a sense of urgency, catching Jared’s suspicious gaze.
“Yes,” Joseph confirmed. He then looked at Jared and continued, “Boss, didn’t you instruct me to reinvestigate the Watson family? So, I had the forensic doctor retest. Unexpectedly, the child’s remains didn’t match Julia’s.”
“Who is the child, then? Where is Juju? If it’s not her, is she alive or dead?” Yannie asked, her anxiety palpable.
This left Joseph in a difficult position.

“Does Randall know about this?” Jared inquired.
“Randall just received the news. He’s heading to the Watsons‘ house now,” Joseph informed.
“Let’s go to the Watsons‘ house,” Jared declared, striding away with determination.
“I’m going too.” Julia had been pondering the connection between herself and Juju, and the answer seemed close at hand.
As Yannie got into the car, she spotted Julia inside.
“What are you doing here?” Yannie asked, her temper was sour.
“Why do you care-” Julia was about to ask why she was concerned, but then scattered memories flashed through her mind.
In those glimpses, a young girl with short legs was running towards another girl, affectionately calling her “Aunt Yannie.”
It was undoubtedly Yannie. Though the memories were few, they conveyed Yannie’s love for Juju.
With this realization, Julia furrowed her brow, feeling an indescribable mix of emotions.
Seeing Julia’s expression, Yannie assumed Julia was just avoiding talking to her.
