Chapter 276 Oh My God! This is Julia!
“Another 10 bullseyes!” exclaimed the second–generation ancestor. The stunned silence of the onlookers was palpable.
Julia turned to Madeline and Cameron with a triumphant smile and declared, “You see, I am undeniably the chosen one, and luck is on my side.”
Without missing a beat, Julia fired three consecutive shots without even adjusting her posture. “Bang, bang, bang-”
Three more perfect bullseyes!
The spectators gaped in astonishment at the flawless shooting display, their mouths forming perfect ‘O’s of disbelief. Their collective thoughts at that moment were synchronized.
Luck?
How could it be that simple?
Once could be attributed to luck, but repeatedly hitting the bullseye was something else entirely. If Julia’s prowess was truly based on luck, as she claimed, then perhaps she was indeed the chosen.
one.
They were not just ordinary individuals; they were the chosen ones of the supernatural world! And so…
“It’s not just luck,” the second–generation ancestor sighed.
Madeline stuttered, her disbelief evident as she stammered, “How… How is this possible, Julia? How can she be so incredibly skilled?”
Cameron’s wide eyes remained locked on Julia, mirroring her incredulity.
“Oh my goodness! Is this the same Julia we knew? When did she become this powerful?” Maddie mumbled in disbelief.
Hearing this, Jared’s gaze shifted from Julia to Maddie. He contemplated Maddie’s words for a moment, his eyes taking on a deep, introspective tone.
Julia nonchalantly stretched her neck and flexed her fingers. She hadn’t finished enjoying the attention, but she couldn’t afford to be too conspicuous. She had hit bullseyes a hundred times before, even attempting the feat blindfolded. However, displaying such a skill now would invite unnecessary trouble.
She lowered her firearm and approached Jared, wearing a modest grin. “I must be exceptionally lucky today. If I’d known, I might have bought a lottery ticket and won the jackpot.” Jared’s calm response struck a chord. “Well, I must be the luckiest one here, like a koi fish swimming upstream. But my luck reaches its peak because I married a koi fish like you.”
Julia was taken aback, momentarily surprised by Jared’s audacity. She thought she was being shameless by praising herself, but Jared had effortlessly outdone her, using their relationship to boost his own ego.
The second–generation ancestor, who stood not far away, observed Julia and Jared within the same frame with a pensive expression. After a few moments of contemplation, he stroked his chin and nodded, musing aloud.
“I’ve often remarked on Jared’s intense gaze and cunning eyes. How could he settle for merely a decorative partner? It appears that Julia possesses far more capability than we had ever realized.”

The second ancestor’s words reached the ears of those nearby, prompting deep reflection among
many.
Cameron fixated her gaze on Julia, her face mirroring the discomfort she felt when they had sparred earlier.
“But if that’s the case, what’s the story here? Wasn’t Julia just the daughter of a modestly affluent family? How did she acquire such extraordinary skills?” Cameron wondered aloud.
Madeline, still reeling from shock, added, “Furthermore, I’ve heard rumors that Julia’s unwelcome status within the Watson family stems from her biological father considering her disappointment, while his stepdaughter is viewed as exceptionally talented, which is why he favors her.”
Madeline’s question echoed Cameron’s own thoughts.
“Could Julia have been concealing her true abilities all this time?”
“Why? Why would she hide her talents?” Madeline couldn’t fathom the reason.
Cameron furrowed her brow, struggling to find an explanation.
“Perhaps… she harbors a rebellious spirit and deliberately keeps her talents hidden as an act of defiance against her father?”
