Chapter 263: Julia is Bullied by Jared
Julia stood on the balcony and, upon hearing the noise, turned her head and was utterly stunned by the captivating scene that unfolded before her eyes.
“You… You… How can you come out dressed like this?!”
Julia originally wanted to look away, but then she thought that if she avoided this awkward situation, it would be even more awkward.
So the best response was to face it head–on, never back down, and definitely not look away. She had to stay focused and not be flustered; she had to stare if needed.

Jared pursed his lips and approached Julia. “Didn’t you ask me to try it on? I’m trying it on for
now.”

The man was doing this on purpose–purposely asking such ambiguous questions.

“Uh, it looks quite fitting,” Julia said, taking a step back, increasing the distance between them. There was no choice. It wasn’t that she was chickening out or nervous. It was just that the man’s masculine pheromones were too overwhelming. The proximity made her feel like she was enveloped in them.

Jared quietly admired the blush on the girl’s face. He could feel her resistance weakening.

“Thank you. I really like this underwear. As a token of my appreciation, I’ve bought something for you too.”
“Hmm? What did you buy?” Julia asked in confusion.
Jared smiled playfully and then turned to retrieve a large bag from the closet.

Before Julia could walk over, Jared turned the bag upside down, and all the clothing inside spilled
out with a rustle.
It was all bras and underwear, various styles and colors, ranging from innocent to alluring…
Julia gasped in surprise.
Jared picked up a black lace piece with his finger and teased, “Try this one. I’d like to see.”
Julia clenched her teeth; she was reaching her limit.
Seeing Julia standing still, not making any move to accept the underwear, Jared continued, “I tried them on for you. Shouldn’t you try them on for me?”
“To hell with you!” Julia couldn’t bear it anymore. She snatched the underwear from the man and threw it on his head, then angrily opened the door and left Jared’s room.
As soon as Shiloh went upstairs, he heard a commotion. “What’s going on? Julia?”
“Ask your brother!” Julia said before slamming her words and immediately returning to her room.
What happened exactly? Why did Julia lose her temper like that?
Could it be that his brother had bullied Julia?
No way. His brother doted on Julia so much. How could he possibly bring himself to bully her?
Shiloh, filled with confusion, walked into Jared’s room. The next moment, upon seeing Jared wearing underwear on his head, he was dumbfounded.
“Bro? Is that you?” Shiloh cautiously called out, confirming if the person in front of him was indeed his brother.
Jared raised his hand and took off the underwear from his head, a smirk forming on his lips. “Hehehe,” he chuckled.
The way the girl had looked angry and embarrassed just a moment ago was indeed quite adorable. Shiloh blinked. Was this really his brother? Was he dreaming?
In the adjacent room, Julia, her face burning red from embarrassment, was covering her face. Her heart was racing, and she found it hard to calm down.
It wasn’t just because the man had asked her to try on the clothes. It was more about the man’s physique that kept lingering in her mind, refusing to fade away.
While Julia was lost in her thoughts and her mind was a whirlwind, she received a call from Maddie.
As soon as she answered the call, she heard Maddie’s anxious voice.
“Julia, something’s happened!”
Julia’s heart skipped a beat upon hearing this.
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell? Or is it about the child-”

“No, it’s about my parents! They found out I’m pregnant!”
Upon hearing this, Julia sighed in relief.
“For heaven’s sake, next time you speak, can you say everything at once? Your scare tactics can be
fatal, you know?”
A moment ago, Julia thought Maddie had a miscarriage or something of that sort.
Even though she was highly skilled in medicine, if Maddie had accidentally miscarried, she couldn’t reinstall the child back in.
“And you don’t find this terrifying? My parents found out and pressured me to reveal the father of the child!” Maddie said in a frantic tone, spinning in place out of distress.
“What did you say to them?” Julia had prepared for this. Maddie’s parents weren’t fools. During this time, Maddie had been staying away from home, and she was in Monroe City. She wasn’t the type to sit idle, so she was often out and about, occasionally spotted by acquaintances who would then inform her parents.
“I initially didn’t want to say it, but-
“You said it was Henry.”
“I had no choice!” Maddie said with a bitter smile.
“And then?”
“And then, my parents want to meet Henry’s parents and discuss marriage since we’re having a child. But we’re not officially together yet; this is a problem.”
Julia’s eyes lit up. “So your parents want you two to get married?”
“Exactly.” Maddie was already feeling hopeless. She didn’t want to marry someone just for the
child.
“Why don’t you refuse and say you’ll raise the child alone?” Julia had the same plan. When the child was born, she planned to raise it on her own.
“If I say that, my parents will definitely ask me to terminate the pregnancy.”
Julia understood. Maddie’s parents didn’t want her future to be burdened by the child.
“What are you planning to do then?”
“I don’t know!” Maddie was completely lost now, without a clear plan.
“Do you want to keep the child?”
“Of course! I definitely want to keep the baby!”
“Do you want to defy your parents?”
“My parents have always loved and cared for me since I was a child. They were strict but always for
my own good,” Maddie said. Her emotions became low as she spoke.
“There’s only one solution,” Julia suggested.
“What solution?”
“You marry Henry.”
